Dr. David Chen, MD

Dr. Chen is very knowledgeable and helpful and explained things that no one else cared to tell me. He took time to listen to my concerns about myself and my daughter. We've had challenges pinpointing the issues with my daughter for years, with over a dozen Drs in 4 states, but he helped us find a simple solution and also referred her to a neurologist for dyslexia testing. I am so thankful because she is improving and has more confidence. He truly cares about helping his patients. Making and scheduling appointments can be improved, however. I know it's difficult to find reliable staff these days.

Be fair, Dr Chen is a good professional eye doctor, who examined my eye very carefully and gave me detail reports/recommendations.

Dr. Chen is an amazing physician. Very caring and knowledgeable. Takes the time to explain everything very clearly. He has taken care of both of my parents and communicates very well with them in Mandarin. They have been very impressed with his attitude and the extent to which he cares for his patients. Can’t recommend him enough!!

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Chen. He made me feel at ease about my condition, explained everything, and answered my questions. We have a tentative plan for care and that made me feel very secure while being treated by him. Would highly recommend!

Dr. Chen is not an ordinary eye doctor, he is a fantastic diagnostician. He helped me A LOT. I saw Dr. Chen after having seen 2 other doctors for a mysterious and painful eye condition for which I was only prescribed eye drops. Dr. Chen finally provided relief with a simple procedure without pharmaceutical medicine! Do not hesitate to rely on him. He is a caring and brilliant physician.

David Chen is a wonderful dr! I’m stunned at the negative reviews, actually. He has a wonderfully pleasant bedside manner, gives a thorough exam (never rushed!) and talks in depth on any questions you may have. Not to mention, he was the only dr (after seeing many) to pinpoint the root of my double vision and get me glasses that work for me.
I highly recommend him to people all the time!

People who left a poor review for Dr. Chen must be confusing him for someone else, because Dr. Chen was fantastic. I needed a chronic stye removed and I am extremely squeamish, but Dr Chen was extremely patient, and explained every single aspect of the procedure before and even during the procedure itself. He offered alternatives to the procedure, gave clear instruction on what to do after it was complete, and was all around very professional.

Dr. Chen is a graduate of Harvard Medical School, one of the finest medical schools in the world. He is very thorough and easy to talk to. Anyone living near his office should consider seeing him for any eye issues or eye exams. I drive to his office from Dumont, NJ because he is worth the trip.

My husband has really bad double vision. I was leary at first. Yes he might seem like he is rude but he really is not. It is his culture way of saying certain ing things. However, you must be a big baby if your feelings get hurt. He is the BEST Neyro-opthmologist. He has and is helping my husband with great care. He takes his time to fine the problem and solution. He is great. No problems forget how he speaks. He is not being rude at all.

Highly recommend Dr Chen he’s accommodating, knowledgeable he does a thorough eye exam and takes time in explaining your condition.

Dr. Chen is the best!!!!! The only reason why I'm not giving him a 5 is because scheduling and getting back to patients when we call is an area of opportunity. But I highly recommend him!

This doctor is very rude and very bad at communication with patients. He has very bad heart and attitude. Can't believe he was educated at Harvard. He is perfect example good grades does not guarantee a good doctor. Should go home.

I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Chen if your eyeballs were falling out. You want a great doctor go see Dr. Origlieri!

When I came out was more depressed stay away. Not helpful and extremely rude.
