Boonton Holmes Public Library

Wonderful library with a very good selection. Amazing librarians who will help you find anything whether they have it or it needs to be sent. A great plus is the building itself.

Historic & charming, I go to this branch instead of the vast Montville one. Great librarians, here.

Cute library in a historic quaint little town. Many muni parking nearby at a very cheap rate

It has more charm than your typical public library because it's housed in a 170+ year old building. The age of the building shows when you look at the floors made up of wide plank boards that have become uneven with age. The library has lots of computer terminals available and free Wi-Fi as well. Being that it's a library for a smaller Community its collection is not very extensive but what they have is well chosen. Note: the library does not have its own parking lot.

I used to go to this library all the time but I had an experience that soured me to the place entirely. While I was browsing the shelves one day, I overheard the two staff members at the front desk having a very loud and mean-spirited conversation about a third person. As I listened, they repeatedly commented on her body as they looked through her pictures on Instagram, and called her “fat” and “disgusting.” I don’t know this third person, but the way they talked was so cruel (and loud, I could hear them clearly from the back shelves) that I no longer feel comfortable going to this library and have started going to the one closest to my work.
