Hibernia Diner

Fantastic food! Their creamy tomato soup is to die for. I hope they keep it on their permanent menu. I had one of the specials. I think it was called the pub steak with crumbled blue cheese and bacon. Wow!
The service and the food here is impeccable.

Good food and service was great. A group of 15 of us dined in on Sunday afternoon. Service was perfect; always asked if we needed anything, and always came back with refills. I had the Nashville chicken sandwich with tater tots (Tots were a sub from regular fries)- recommend!! Everyone really enjoyed their meals, from chicken paninis, burgers, to pancakes. Prices were very reasonable for the portions served. Highly recommend this Diner if you're in the area, or traveling on 80

I had the Grill Chicken Cobb Salad it was delicious.... my plate was cleaned the probably didn't have to wash it....

Great food and atmosphere, friendly and attentive service

Great menu and very adaptive kitchen. Food quality is fresh and dessert selections are original and unique. Air conditioning can be a bit cold so bring a light jacket or sweater. Servers are young and fairly knowledgeable and helpful in menu guidance.

Tavern steak and the crusted Salmon are incredible. Definitely not your typical diner food. Very friendly staff that checks in with you often. We really enjoy coming here.

Awesome classic diner, great food, great service and super clean. The chef salad was loaded with huge wheels of cold cuts. The owner helped us when we left something behind and had to circle back the next day and get it. A real life saver! Then, we had another great meal!

Cute 50's style diner. Wife had the short stack pancakes and I had the Loco Huevos which was one of the best breakfast I've had. 2 eggs on corn bread with pepper jack cheese and Pico da Gallo with hash browns and a side of Taylor Ham.

This Diner has been a staple in Rockaway, Morris County , and NJ since I can remember. I remember coming here as a kid with my parents as I grew up in Rockaway. The food is always great, the people are always great. I want to pass this great tradition on to my children as well and I hope they stay and continue one of the great few diners and places left in this state. Of coarse no trip to any Jersey diner is complete without an order of disco fries and they have the best. They’ve done a Renovation on the diner and looks great and has more room and the food has got better and better over the years. The burgers are big and juicy and they accommodate any order and the homemade cheesecake is a must try. Best diner in the area without a doubt.

This is my to-go spot after the gym. Good food along with great wait staff makes this place the restaurant to go to for diner food. A

We were not charged a 20% tip. Maybe there were a lot of people in her party? That happens I a lot of placed if you have a number of people in your party.
Anyway, my husband and I loved our food and our waiter was terrific.

Stopped here for lunch. Right off interstate 80. Delicious Autumn Tom turkey sandwich, with real roast turkey, wonderful sweet potato fries. Tasty beef barley soup. Glad I stopped.

I love these guys. I travel back and forth to the city through new jersey. The food is everything you would want it to be for new jersey diner. The staff is attentive and courteous And the bathrooms are clean. What more could you want from a jersey diner.

I was in the area and happen to stop by this diner. I was debating heading over to the restaurant next door but was glad I didn't! The Caesar salad cones with pieces of bread that are absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD! Everything my partner and I ate was phenomenal. The waitress was attentive and nice as well! Overall you cannot go wrong with this place, if I'm in the area again or if I live nearby, I will 100% become a frequenter! 10/10 would definitely recommend this place! And if you have the opportunity to get the Caesar salad, you won't be disappointed!

The GF had an omelette.
Still good service. And a good selection of hot sauce!

2017: Yeah, really good here! Had the Shrimp Wrap. Really good and they put lots of shrimp in it too :) , had the chili for a side choice (.99) extra and it was so worth it. A big cup and great taste. Free refills on iced coffee too. Been here many times and certainly will return. Ez on/off from i-80.

Absolutely luv luv luv a Diner that gives the feel of a 1950's Diner as this Diner gave that feel with 1950's music playing, waitress had the most cutest voice n her service was on point and quick with comebacks to make us giggle and she made us feel like we were repeat customer as it was our 1st time at this Diner cause we were passing through the area.
Now let's get to the juice part, idk where you can get a home soup, salad, cooked meal n a homemade dessert for $24 yes that's right all the dishes that came to the table was $24 & UNDER!!! Each dish was tastier than the next dish, when you are able to slice the short ribs with your fork, it's sliced like butter, there were so much food left over that we got doggie bags to go. My dish tri color tomatoes, mushrooms n hearts with pasta was even tastier eaten cold the next day.
I will be stopping at this Diner again next time I am on this town....

Wow! This is a treasure! The staff couldn't be nicer. Our waiter was amazing he recommended an herbal tea that I tried and loved! And the food was fine dining worthy! This place has it all!
