ACME Markets

Seafood section is amazing. Kathryn is the best and is always helpful and friendly. During crab leg specials, I always hope she is working when I go because she always makes my visit that much more enjoyable.

I would give less stars because the prices in this chain of grocery stores is SO OUTRAGEOUSLY HIGH however the attitudes of the employees and the cleanliness of the location absolutely make up for it! I have NEVER had one complaint nor one bad experience with any of the people working at the Boonton Acme. All employees are helpful, polite, willing to go the extra step and actually pay attention to you when you need help. Would definitely recommend and will continue to shop here no matter what!!

A big shoutout to Robert and staff in the bakery department at the Boonton store!! Picked up a special order for my grandsons birthday and he was so happy he could share these Elmo and Cookie Monster cupcakes with his little friends at preschool. Will always use this bakery as my go to! Friendly staff, accommodating, and fresh and delicious!! Thanks Robert! See ya soon.

They were very helpful by providing information regarding the JCPL water/ice program for power outage customers. But they ran out of ice.

Great prices, very clean and organized.
I always go right before they close at 11pm because of my work schedule and the manager is super cool, very nice guy.

It's set up nicely, and they have some candy I didn't see in other stores.

Great bakery and deli/meats. Starbucks! Hard to find items. Clean! Friendly staff Great place to shop! Not the cheapest in the area (Walmart) nor the most expensive (Kings) but a good, happy medium. Use the Acme app to save some extra $$$ and spend points earned.

Although this Acme is small, it's a great local store for basic grocery supplies, and they often have really great discounts or clearance sales on random items such as cheese, pasta, sponges, etc.

Since I always bring my own bags, I also like that there's no item limit for self checkout, and usually no line either.

That being said, there's plenty of more specific stuff that I like which I can't find here, so I occasionally drive out further to Wegmans when I want a larger selection.

I come to this Acme regularly around 9:30 in the evening to beat the crowds and pick up a handful of groceries or snacks with or without friends. During the day, the parking lot can be hectic, but that’s not the fault of the business itself at all. There’s not too much to be done about that; but if you come at night you’ll see clearly enough why I prefer to do the same.

I don’t interact too much with the staff, but they all seem friendly enough. As of this review, they’re moving some product around and from the look of things so far, the products are being put in very sensible places. For example, the popcorn and peanuts have been moved to the snack aisle and the candy has been moved closer to the ice cream section. Sweets with sweets, salts with salts. Makes sense to me!

I say this because as they are in the process of moving things around, things are quite hectic and a little disorganized; but there’s still a clear path to walk through and most of this is located near the front lobby at this hour.

The only thing I personally dislike are the new sef-checkout machines (which can be very irritating to those who really don’t know much about the technology); and the personal greeting is missed at these hours. I understand why they were added; but that doesn’t mean I have to like it.

In conclusion, while some may find the prices to be a tad more expensive than say Shop Rite or some other grocery store; the quality shows. The fresh cut fruit is absolutely amazing, juicy and refreshing. The produce shines like it was just spritzed with a fresh morning dew (and in some cases you can catch this happening in the act if you’re lucky!) and the fresh baked breads and cookies are wonderful. If you’re a Starbucks fan, they have a quaint little cafe where you can grab a sweet pastry and cup of coffee.

Oh—and for those coming late like I do; don’t be discouraged if you can’t open the lobby door! Just head to the normal exit door and you can enter there after 10:00. Happy Grocery Shopping!

One of the best ACME supermarkets I've visited. The layout was awesome & it was so clean! The also have the most delicious store made cookies & their prepared food section is nice.

Rob who made the beautiful candy cake I ordered, was fantastic... the kids absolutely loved it & the Oreo cupcakes... especially me..!!! The customer service was outstanding...freshly made & my daughter couldn’t be happier..Thank you

I wanted to share my experience with Gregg the Pharmacist in Boonton. He is so efficient, helpful, and goes above and beyond to help me and I’m sure all of his customers. I always have a problem with the staff at my doctors office when trying to get a refill. No matter what I do, it never works. Gregg always knows how to fix the problem and contact them. I like the Signature brands and I get a lot of great sales. It's much better than that horrible A&P. They have fresh cut fruit for a great buy! It's comical to see people comparing their prices to Walmart. Do you compare Kings to Walmart?

Typical huge American supermarket. Value-for-money deals on the weekend. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Bakery offers $3, $5 and $6 deals everyday on quality baked goods. Fresh as well as frozen meat and seafood available as well.

With the Wife last minute shopping lower prices, High quality produce , Booton NJ. Helpful employees.

It is of an average size with the pleasant staff and abundance of the food products neatly stocked and categorized.

I am a fan of Acme. I'm glad I found this one since they closed one closer to me. I find that things are well organized and easy to find! And the prices aren't crazy.
