Manu's Kitchen Bar & Sushi Lounge

We went in for my husband’s birthday on a Sunday when it wasn’t too busy and we really enjoyed our quiet dinner. We didn’t get to try the sushi nonetheless our steak dinner was delicious. Our severer was friendly and very patient with us explaining the menu to us as it was our first time there. Definitely would be returning!!!

I was pleasantly surprised to run into this lovely restaurant with outdoor seating on a beautiful Saturday .
The waitress recommended the bento boxes- and my shrimp teriyaki with tempura veggies, rice and salad/ drink were amazing! Fresh and delish

Flew into Newark and had it delivered to my hotel. Reader, it hit the spot. Arrived perfectly—hot things were hot, cold things were cold, flavor was excellent and they delivered on time. I’d definitely order from them again.

Don't know how many countless times I've been here, and never had one bad experience. I took my GF here numerous times, and she loves it as well. I've been there so many times, my only recommendation is to add new items to the menu. I recommend this place to anyone in the area.

My experience here was phenomenal! Amazing food, drinks and staff. I got to meet the owner and she treats everyone like family and is so welcoming of anyone and everyone. Went here for dinner my first time in New Jersey and it did not disappoint one bit!! The outdoor seating was lovely and I was told they will soon be serving pizza so it will be kid friendly!

When we went in I really didn't want to stay, cause the atmosphere suck and I didn't feel comfortable, but my friends say let's stay. After wards we start to order and we ordered many different things to try: tapas, Sushi and so on. I must say it was great quality and we all enjoyed the food. The grilled octopus was fantastic. Sat outside, the service was great, the Octopus was tender, and did I mention that the food was delish. I ordered the grilled Octopus and the cold prosciutto platter. Next time going back with family, to try everything else.

I come here pretty often and the food never disappoints! My usuals are the sliders, monkey balls, sweet potato fries with spicy mayo. Their sushi is also a go to. Bruno was so sweet and catered to our needs. Definitely would recommend to anyone that wants tapas!

We were laid over for a night in Newark and headed out to find something to eat. The city is a bit rough around the edges and all the reviews hotels were pushing us towards Spanish cuisine. We were craving something lighter/fresher. We found manu's on foot and loved it. Great live music, delicious sushi and a very welcoming atmosphere!

I wish they'd embrace fully being the best brazilian-japanese place. Like explicitly rather than try to have mediterranean dishes that you could get anywhere on ferry street. Great food either way.

Good place to go eat and drink after work. There are not many sushi places around the ironbound so this place it's a must if you want sushi, sangria was good I usually get the pitcher. Highly recommend this place

Great selection of amazing tasting sushi. Extremely friendly staff, and yummy tasting drinks. Server even hooked us up with a couple shots on the house.
Definitely would go again.

I always sit at the bar. Great food and great drinks. Nice presentation. It's a little pricey. Go on days and times with specials.

Love this place , decor is beautiful, food is so tasty, drinks are on point ****** friendly staff, 😁my favorite food spicy tuna roll * king crab roll, Lexi shrimp & octopus salad 😗

So yeah, the place and food are great....too bad they don't pick up the phone to take my order to go today 🙄
