YORK ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS

This is actually 2 reviews in one for York Electric. I originally hired Dennis and his team back in the summer of 2023 to do a full panel electrical upgrade at my house (built 1920s). Sorry I forgot to give them a review back then (due to me just retiring and dealing with other things going on) but to say that job was five stars. I contacted Dennis and his team again this past week to install four new circuit runs at my house (2 circuits on the 2nd floor and 2 on the 3rd floor) . I can say Dennis and his team are very knowledgeable. They were able to do the runs without installing extra outside pipe as a conduit (for my house this worked it may not necessarily work for your house layout). I was totally surprised. They were able to find a direct route from the 3rd and 2nd floors straight down to the panel in the basement. They just had to make 2 minor cuts in the wall inside the house (which they patched up nicely after). These guys are very professional and do outstanding work. They left my house leaving the work area very clean and neat. So if you want a quality electrician for any electrical work I would highly recommend Dennis and his team. His prices are very reasonable, addresses any concerns you may have and gets the job done to completion.

One of the worse things that can happen to you when you least expect it to happen...Our power went out all throughout our house, just a few hours before mother's day. With my father being out of town, a fridge full of fresh meat and produce we just purchased from BJs and low cellphone batteries, we were in a pretty pickle. I tried to restore the power by resetting the breaker box downstairs but nothing I tried seemed to work.

We needed a skilled electrician that wouldn't take us to the cleaners and ring our pockets out to dry.

After spending most of the next morning, with what little cellphone power I had remaining, going through Yelp, and Google's listings, I decided to try out York Electrical Contractors. They already had stellar reviews, and were close to our area. Shortly after leaving a message, Dennis contacted me right away.

Following a brief inquiry he immediately assessed our problem. Being that this happened outside of normal business hours, they could have left us without power until then, but Dennis came out immediately and was able to restore our power temporarily which saved us a huge headache that day. Immediately, we made arrangements to change the breaker box in the basement since its been their since the 60's and was pretty much shot.

Dennis and his team were very knowledgeable, prompt, courteous throughout the entire process. They left the work area spotless which most services do not and respected our property which was a huge plus.

We will be needing rewiring in the future and they will be at the top of our list for any other electrical work needed moving forward.

I'm just sorry I didn't write this review sooner, but it was a very tiring day otherwise I wouldn't have hesitated. I don't write reviews often but they are the exception to the rule when it comes to quality, price and professionalism.

The beginning of March we needed some electrical work and repairs done around the house. This is my second time using the company and they are very knowledgeable and prompt. Dennis is honest and reliable. My mom and I really appreciate the work that was done. Though the crew had some challenges, they were able to troubleshoot and come back multiple times until the work was done. Will definitely use this company again.

York Electrical were fast, efficient, neat and a pleasure to deal with. Great rate and excellent work by the techs who came out. Cleaned up after themselves and truly left no trace that there was work just done. Highly recommend.

Dennis and his crew were fairly priced, reliable and punctual, they came when promised!! They were very neat and clean in their workmanship as well as careful. They installed 4 fans and a light fixture and installed new outlets as well as moved some existing ones for us. They did a great job & came highly reccomended. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Made a difficult repair at a fair price in a timely manner. The technicians that came to perform the work were extremely professional and courteous and very patient with answering all my questions. They did not rush the job. Dennis was onsite with a second technician. Also the representative in the office was very polite and upfront with the possible costs and estimate of the work to be performed. I highly recommend them for any electrical work you may need. They are very knowledgeable and professional and fairly priced.

Dennis and his team were great - they helped us change the electrical panel update all of the wiring in our 1920's house to current code, and took care of all of the necessary permits. Dennis was very responsive and reliable - York Electrical is an essential contact for anyone in the Bayside / Queens area.

While preparing to sell our NYC home; an old permit was found that had to be cleared. Dennis and The folks at York were able to expedite the process, and working with us and DOB to arrange work and inspections in a timely fashion. thx

Incredibly professional and efficient — they did an excellent job installing an EV charger at my house. Most importantly, they were always easy to reach, quick to respond, and ensured my needs were met. Wouldn’t recommend any other electrician!

I called the office this morning. I asked for a quote to install the wall mount charger for tesla. Denis answered my call right a way. He told me he would be at my house in 15 minutes.
He arrived in less than 15 minutes, inspected the electrical panel, suggested the best location where the charger should be installed, and gave me a very reasonable price.
He said he would call me to schedule the installation by later today.
I am amazed by his quick response and courteous and professional service. I will keep you updated after the installation.

Very professional and knowledgeable! They updated our electrical panel and took care of all the necessary permits. When we later had some issues with pre-existing wires in our home they were very responsive and fixed the issue. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician!
