Pompeii Ristorante

We were craving a carbonara but we tried plenty of other items on the menu as well. We must have been hungry because we ordered a garlic shrimp and a bruschetta for appetizers. Then a risoto, bolognese, tortellini and a medium pizza Pompeii. For dessert we shared a limoncello tartufo. Service was great. The style was more of an old school Italian, nice sauces, perfectly cooked pastas. The pizza bread was thick kind and the toppings tasty. Our favorites would be the tortellini and bolognese but the rest were equally nice. The dessert was divine and I am usually not a fan of lemon. Bread is served with dinner with butter and a nice dipping sauce.

Delicious food! Stopped here for lunch, and it didn't disappoint. Very welcoming atmosphere as well. I got the fettuccine alfredo, and it was very good. Quick and friendly service too. 5/5 stars!

Very nice , friendly and welcoming set of folks here. Awesome service. We ordered gnocchi , penne and spaghetti . Loved the spicy arabiatta sauce , home made marinara and the Gorgonzola sauce . Would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant.

Never been to the main strip of Los Altos and it was quite a nice surprise to find such a nice Bay Area location and randomly pick a restaurant that turned out great. Pompeii had a solid Italian menu and the service was very attentive. We enjoyed the clams, the bread was fantastic (damn you carbs), the salmon piccata was great, and even the kid's pasta with marinara was excellent (the sauce was really top notch). I would come back next time I am in the area.

The perfect end to a Sunday for me is a comforting Italian dinner, and Pompeii gave me that! First time but not the last. Attentive service and the staff all of them are super friendly!
I had a glass of Sauvignon and the Alfredo plain- and it was made perfect. Thanks Pompeii!

Delicious linguine with clams. It’s a must!

Chicken Picata very tender. Sauce not over powering, light lemon flavor.

Solid dishes on a consistent basis. One of our regular spots. Our go to dishes: all salads, vegetarian pizza, chicken Marsala, the specials, capellini pomodoro, pesto ravioli, the lasagne, tortellini arrabiata. Great bread with unique dipping oil.

First time at this Los Altos classic. Marvelous minestrone. Satisfying salads. Premiere pasta. Preposterous panini. Also a very large and affordable wine list. Try the veal chop. It's the best in the city.

Good portions, great flavor and great service. The servers are very kind and make good conversation :) In my opinion, the prices were reasonable as compared to other similar places in the area. Definitely recommend it. Oh, and you must try the Tiramisu, it's wonderful.

Fantastico! Genuine Italian food with consistently high quality. This is my go to place for several years now and I have never been disappointed. Try the Barbarian Calzone - a dream!

Regular haunt for me and my wife. Solid pasta and great service. Love their Arrabiata sauce on anything, and their Fettuccine Alfredo is always cooked perfectly.

We have been dining at Pompeii for years and it always feels like visiting a close family friend who offers a warm welcome, excellent food and libation. Pompeii has true heart, the food is consistently authentic Italian, fresh, authentic Italian choices and a wonderful selection of wines. What we most look forward to is the whole experience, including the Pompeii server team. Now that we are doing take-out every Friday when we used to come in, I look forward to seeing our familiar faces of Francisco and Carlos and the team. We appreciate what they do for our community. Please support Pompeii during these challenging times, enjoy the food and experience!

I absolutely love, love, love this place! We live only a few blocks away and have been going here since it opened (in good weather, we can walk here.) Everything I've had has been great, and just writing this review has me salivating :-) Please, especially now (when restaurants are closed due to COVID-19) call them up and place a takeout order :-) You will *not* be disappointed.

Best Lasagna I have had in CA. We've found out hard to find Italian that compared to Philly/NJ Italian that I grew up eating.

The meat and texture was perfect, the sauce as well. We'll will be bringing it out of state relatives here definitely.

Went here for a Saturday Lunch Great food, great ambience and great service. Couldn't ask for more ! One of the best Italian places around.
