Don's Sandwich Shop

The food was very good. Sloppy joes are absolutely phenomenal. Ruben was amazing. Subs were completely on par. The rye used for the sloppy joes and Reubens was soft and flavorful and not overbearing. The sub rolls were quite soft which made for a pleasant surprise. Personally I don't like rolls that are too hard or crusty that obliterate the roof of your mouth. The bread here is exceptional.

Owners were so pleasant and thoughtful. Catered to my many requests because I wanted to try a little bit of everything. They make mini sandwiches here as well so it makes it easy to sample a lot. Despite living in the area for longer than the 42 years that this shop has existed in its current location, this was my first time visiting.

I would strongly recommend this place. The sloppy joes are without fail the best I have had. The atmosphere is that of a little sub shop on any main Street in Jersey and is appealing in that regard. Once again, the owners and the food is the draw here and I will make this a regular stop!

Dons is the best sand which place in town! They give you GENEROUS portions with specialized sliced meat. The meat is always fresh and has the best flavor! They are always kind and quick! I love their subs my go to is (ham, double bacon, pepperoni, American cheese, tomato, onion) with a bag of chips! The price I paid was for 2 whole subs which have 4 quarters, 2 chips, a half sub and two drinks for 3 people!

A true "mom and pop" sandwich shop! I ordered a turkey sloppy Joe and could only eat half of it! The portions are incredible. Pat and Elizabeth have the kindest demeanor and truly embody small town business with class. I have literally gone to this sandwich shop since I was little and it hasn't changed(In a great way). Pat also sells drums and teaches drum lessons! If you are looking for a great sandwich, definitely put this on your list.

A Main Street staple for 42 years. That should tell you all you need to know. Old school deli that still packs the sandwiches with meat. Great husband and wife combo that deliver fast and friendly service. Don also offers drum lessons too.

We've been going to get sandwiches for a few months now from Don's, this place is a hidden gem within our community. The owners are extremely friendly and have excellent customer service. The sandwiches are incredible. I would highly recommend them to people in our area.

Huge sandwich at small price! Lovely dinner and old time atmosphere. Dont forgot to check out the Drummers Corner too.

These sandwiches are delicious! My boyfriend and I asked the lady what she recommended and while they aren’t inherently special sandwiches, the added oils MADE them incredible!

If you're in the Boonton area this is your go to spot for a Sangwich!! Little Mom & Pop spot that focuses on making breakfast and lunch! The sandwiches are made with love and passion and the prices are more than reasonable! I paid $8 bucks for this Turkey and Swiss on a round roll with Lettuce and Tomato!! I ate the other half that isn't pictured! Phenomenal!!

Wow!! Roast beef with lettuce tomato onions and horseradish mayo on a roll. One of the best deli sandwiches I've ever had. Also the woman at the counter was such a blessing. I will definitely be back here to support this business.

THEE best subs in town, hands down! Generous portions, delicious, fresh breads, cheeses and meats, and super affordable! Plus the owners are so sweet and friendly. I love supporting local businesses where you're greeted like an old friend and treated well.

By far, the best sandwich shop around. Not only do they have great quality food, but they’re also some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.

I haven't had a sub from Don's in years but the second I got back in town I stopped by. The subs are exactly the same as I remember. Exceptional taste. Don and his wife are lovely. You get great bang for your buck here

Was going golfing less than 10min away and wanted to get something quick beforehand. Awesome little sub shop that has probably been a local treat for years. Everything was fresh and tasted great. Staff was very nice as well! Will definitely be back!

I love this place. The sandwiches are tasty and fresh every time. No surprises or problems. Reasonable prices. And best of all, the people who own and run the shop are so kind and warm. Why would you go to subway or a chain sandwich place, when you can go to Don's??

Great sandwiches for a great value. Don't let the modest location fool you; the sandwiches great and it doesn't hurt that they carry Joe Tea either. The owners are some of the friendliest people you'll meet.
