Despite working in the area previously, I had never taken the opportunity to explore this lush and inviting park, until a rainy day drew me in, anticipating fewer crowds on the trail. However, even on a less-than-perfect weather day, it was clear to see why the park is such a favorite among locals of all ages. The park boasts a range of amenities, including benches, shelters, children’s playgrounds, canoe launch platforms, bird-watching platforms, ornamental gardens, and restrooms. These features are well-maintained and designed to enhance visitors' experience of the park. I particularly appreciated the various options available to visitors, catering to all interests and age groups. The main highlight of the park, however, is the 1.60-mile-long paved trail that loops around the picturesque lake. The trail can be accessed from multiple entrances, and I chose to start at the welcome center, which offers a convenient parking lot. As I walked along the trail, the cold but refreshing breeze from the lake added to the calming atmosphere, and I felt immediately invigorated. I was pleased to find the trail relatively quiet, offering a peaceful and immersive experience. The trail was wide, clean, and well-maintained, making it easy for both walkers and bikers to navigate comfortably. It was clear that the park’s reputation for being a popular outdoor destination was well-deserved, and I could understand why so many people flock to this serene space. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the VOA Lake Park, and can confidently say that it is one of the best parks I have ever visited. While the high number of visitors can be overwhelming for some, it is a testament to the park's reputation as a top-notch destination for outdoor activities and relaxation. I look forward to returning soon to enjoy more of the park's offerings, and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful, yet active, outdoor experience.

This welcome center is a beautiful building that offers information, private rental space, heated restrooms/changing tables with gorgeous landscape. It truly compliments the lake and the park. You can also pickup your metro passes here. FREE if you live in Butler county! Most definitely recommend.

Words can't describe this place. Beautiful scenery very relaxed. Fun place to bring family and kid friendly. Nice walking trail. Bathrooms super clean. Great place to read a book or walk,ear your mind or enjoy a nice breeze. Love being one with nature.

Very nice place to go for a walk around the lake and on the hill. Kids and Pet friendly. I love the greenery in the summer and snow covered hills in the winter.

One of the most serene and scenic places EVER. Trails to stroll, fish to catch, picnics to share, grills to fire up, jungle gyms to climb, pictures to take, sunsets to admire, or just relax and let the cares of the day roll away! Gorgeous!

Although hot as hades on scorching days due to the lack of trees, this park is still a balm for the spirit with a beautiful lake and peaceful walking trails. Early autumn and fall are great times of year to revisit.

Wonderful park with fantastic facilities. The picture is of the main entrance - there are others only used for special events.
The playground is extremely well kept and has lots of various parts that get kids moving without thinking about what they're doing. (Ladders, balance, monkey bars, steps etc.)

The bathrooms are clean and inside, not the yucky portalet that some places have.

There is a walking/biking/running path that's paved. Pets welcome, just clean up after them!

The pond is available for some water activities. Canoe, kayak, paddle boards, etc.

My child enjoys going to this park and it's certainly lovely!

Excellent! Went for the Open Water Swim, and the park amenities were superb. Clean, we'll maintained facilities. Great, well marked trails. Had a good time swimming and exploring VOA!

Great park. Needs more trails

My company has their celebrations at the lodge frequently. It’s a great place to get some exercise on their bike trail around the pond as well.

Beautiful park on a beautiful day. We love the gorgeous water there. The walk is a good stream of the legs. All kinds of birds. Lot's of entertainment on the week-ends. Great place for jogging and just walking and taking in the views. We highly recommend this park
