Dublin Community Church

This church has TWICE helped my family! Full of godly, sweet, selfless people who genuinely CARE about their people! This church helped people they didn't even know, people they only knew needed help. This church is the example of people Jesus asked for. The reason for humanitarians. I've never seen such a giving, selfless church in my life! (And my father was a preacher). This is the best example God left for people helping one another and keeping hope for the human race alive! We are all a family, young, old, rich, poor, fat, skinny. We all are a product of Adam and Eve. And this church represents what family means and how we should all be a part of helping our fellow man. I'll never forget what they have done for my family! God bless these people and their families!

I have been "a friend of" Dublin Community Church [United Church of Christ] for much of my life though I have been able to attend events there only occasionally.

I had grown up at a different United Church of Christ [UCC] church in central Ohio [First Congregational Church in Columbus] so I have been familiar, over the years, with many of Dublin Community Church's programs and efforts.

Several weeks ago [4-9-2022], I attended a "Coming Together for Ukraine" concert to raise money to help those who have been impacted by the current war in Ukraine. The church had been filled to capacity; nearly $22,000 had been raised.

While waiting for that concert to begin, I heard two people, clearly non-members of Dublin Community Church, sitting in the row behind me, speaking with each other about that church. I overheard one of them say to the other at one point, "I hear that they are a great church. They welcome gay people."

For many years, Dublin Community Church [UCC] has been an "Open and Affirming" UCC congregation that has made "a public covenant of welcome into their full life and ministry to persons of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions."

I learned, after the 4-9-2022 "Coming Together for Ukraine" concert had ended but before I had decided to leave for home, that Dublin Community Church [UCC] hosts WORD, Women of Religious Diversity, a multi-faith women's group of 40-50 women who meet on Friday mornings for Bible study, book discussion, support, and fellowship.

If you are looking for a friendly UCC congregation that truly welcomes all, I strongly recommend Dublin Community Church.
