Scioto Park

Lovely small park along the Scioto river in Dublin. There is a steep entrance into the park, lots of grass and trees. Very relaxing. There are 2 packed pavilions here for event hosting. Cool artwork outside and there’s lots of hilly spots for kids to sled down in the wintertime. Great way to spend a Sunday is relaxing here in the grass.

Hello everyone and welcome back in today’s review we are going to be reviewing SCIOTO PARK.

What makes SCIOTO PARK so special and unique in comparison with other parks near by?:

1. Beautiful park to come and relax right next to the Scioto River.
2. There are benches sits next to the river’s shore to sit and relax.
3. The facility also has picnic tables and grills available for the public to come and gather and cook.(Remember to PICK UP YOUR TRASH and keep this park clean please.
4. Also in this place during winter time they set up a snow slide side, super nice.
5. This place also has bathrooms and gazebos with picnic tables.
6. Nice and clean facility.
7. Free parking lots.
8. Wheelchair access.
9. Wheelchair parking lots.
10. Nice environment to enjoy nature.
11. Perfect place for everyone.
12. Bring your family, friends, have a date etc. Amazing place.

Went there for a small party.
It was calm environment, small creek running by the one end and surrounded by very nice wooded area. Nice place to cater a party. Plenty of places for kids to play around and also have a volleyball net setups.

Awesome little park with 2 nice shelter houses with many tables. Ample amount of parking available. Indoor restroom facilities available. Nice location right by the Scioto River. Large playground for children. And the Chief Leather lips monument is located here. It surprised me that it's been here since 1990 and this was the first time I've ever stopped to view it. Also an outdoor amphitheater with lawn and stone seating.

A beautiful and quiet garden with toilets, children’s toys, shelter, a barbecue place, and seating overlooking the river.

This is a nice little park for a picnic has nice play area for kids and you sit down by the water with pavilion with grills and enjoy nature and it's sounds with stream that sit next to the pavilion. Also old tree that kids climb on or great place for photo opt.

Went for a concert. Get there early for parking. They do have a restroom. A couple food trucks for concert. We sat in shade by parking area and could still hear the music just fine.

What a lovely park. Very easily accessible right next to main road, all clean and well maintained, washrooms are spotless, water refill station and of course amazing view. So quiet and relaxing, not many people at all, very chill atmosphere and beautiful nature.
Loved this place! Would come back any time I’m around the area.

Scioto Park on Riverside Drive is a Dublin City Park,the one that has the stone memorial of Leatherlips. The park has a n upper and lower parking area. It also has a small amphitheater. Other amenities are restrooms,shelter houses,and an actual pay phone. I don't know if it still works but it's there.The park is a decent sized city park that also has an open grassy area that is on hill. The lower part of the park gives you direct access to the Scioto River.

Came here to visit the Chief LeatherLips Monument. Very well crafted stone work. Well kept except for some stone loose at top.

Nice park right off Riverside drive but away from the main road which avoids noise pollution. There is plenty of space for kids to play, including slides, swings etc. 3 party shelters are available that can be reserved before hand to avoid confusion . BBQ grills are also installed.
There are benches near Scioto river to enjoy the view, relax and recharge away from busy life.
Parking could be challenging if all 3 grilling areas are booked, but they have provided extra parking near the entrance which can also be utilized but leads to a steep walk downhill and uphill on the way back.
There are no lights installed in the shelters, the park closes at sunset and it becomes very dark soon after so I would recommend getting your party finished 30 mins before sunset so there is time to clean up.

This is a real tree if you zoom in on the picture. I know I was confused myself because how the branches grew so perfect. Perhaps this happened naturally in the wild and mankind had nothing to do with it. Or maybe this is truly art and the meaning of life.

I'd definitely visit if you get the chance! Beautiful park, great view of the river, plenty of seating, clean, and seeing Leatherlips is so cool. 5 stars👍🏼

Best small park in Dublin and sawmill area. This park has kind of steep as it creates upper and down part of the park. The above part as park , face structure and kind of big sit out for movies and outdoor functions. Down part as other parking, shelter, barbecue places, kids playground and volleyball court. Best part of this park is there is river stream next to it making this park more beautiful. This place is best for family as they can do barbecue party, fishing and other sport activities.

Pleasant place to sit and relax. Kids have fun as there is a good play area. Adults can play outdoor games and enjoy their snack. Good weather can make the park visit a good day.

Beautiful park 🏞 it's clean, has place for picnic and you can enjoy the river.

We had a great time here on a Saturday evening. The crowd was pleasant. The scene was beautiful. You see great view of downtown from the bridge. I suggest going there after 7 pm on summertime. You may rent a bike or a scooter which is reasonable. Or you can walk as it’s less than a mile. You can park your car for free on roadside if you can walk or pay 7 dollars.

As a photographer I'm always looking for new spots for sessions. I love Scioto Park because you can get gorgeous photos with the river in the background and it's a much less popular spot and less crowded. There's tons of trees and shade and also a playground for kids.
