So much fun! Very informative staff and helpful tips on overcoming obstacles. Over all a big eye opener to what I need to work on and what lies ahead June 1st Spartan Sprint

TL;DR: If you're looking to up your fitness game and to train for obstacle course racing, come to King's Camps and Fitness. You won't find anything better in the Bay Area.

Mike King has been doing OCR since the beginning of the sport and was an athlete long before then. He has since taken his experience and created a facility that caters to both OCR veterans and newbies alike.
Walls, ramps, ropes, monkey bars, rigs, and even warped walls are just a few of the obstacles that you'll get to play with at the gym.

During an Open Gym training session, you may find both top tier pro/sponsored athletes training alongside newbies and enthusiasts.Mike and his wife Jenny have created an amazing community for OCR and fitness enthusiasts and continue to raise the bar by creating new obstacles. Mike has even introduced his own Royal Race series that features signature obstacles not found on the more popular racing circuits.

This is THE obstacle course racing (OCR) gym in the Bay Area to go to. I've been training with Mike since 2015 and his programming has taken me from struggling to complete Spartan Races to finishing 24 hour obstacle races (Spartan Ultrabeast/ World's Toughest Mudder) and ultramarathons.

We had our kid’s 6th birthday party here; it was amazing! He had the best time, and so did the 20+ kids who attended. The obstacles were just right for the group. The staff were great with engaging the kids and showing them what to do. They were tremendous with the small things too, like lighting candles and cutting/serving cake.

We love the place, coach Mike is awesome and know how to work with kids very well. The other coaches are amazing as well. The respect all kids and all levels, and let the kids feel good about h where they are, and celebrate their achievements. Highly recommend this place for regular classes, birthday parties and camp.

It's a great little gym and Elisha has a lot of positive energy. They have almost all of the obstacles to practice (except the speak throw -- insurance!) and can give you guidance on technique if you're new to OCR or Spartan. Definitely works your grip strength and shoulders more than a typical gym. Highly recommended.

Kings camp is amazing, as a gym and a community. The workouts can be as hard or easy as you choose to make them, but they are always engaging and fun. Alicia is super knowledgeable and a great coach. I couldn’t recommend Kings Camps more for those looking to up their OCR game or just have a fun challenging workout.

If you are looking for a boutique gym experience at a topnotch facility ran by a passionate fitness expert, King’s Camp and Fitness is the only place in the Peninsula to get that type of experience! Having been a member for almost 4 years, the workouts are still challenging and never been repeated! Mike King is so creative in his approach to bootcamp classes. It’s no wonder he has so many regulars that have been clients for years!

I intended to give Kings a try right before Covid made everything weird and scary for a long while. 8w ago I decided it was time to follow through with my original plan: I tried a few classes and felt humbled but also welcome. I climb a lot and used to be a pretty avid runner. King's started to show me the value and pleasure if "pushing" exercises, along with regimen, structure and support. When summer trips were over I committed to the 3mo new client program on the grounds I show up every day. I am at the end of week 6, only missed one day on account of work keeping me up til 2am. I cannot more highly recommend the community, regimen and approach to these early morning classes. Wish I would have started sooner.

Great classes, welcoming, genuine, and motivating environment, awesome facility, and instruction. Mike, the owner and primary instructor does an awesome job of keeping classes challenging, different, and fun. I really like the warehouse feel to the gym - there's plenty of room and it doesn't feel overcrowded. The location is great, easy to get to and has ample of parking. The membership rates are the best bang for your buck that I've seen in the area!

I came here to learn how to use the obstacles for my upcoming Spartan race. The instructor Alecia was super chill and helpful. The class was only an hour but I could spend all day playing around in this place. Like a big play structure for adults lol. Will definitely be coming back for more Spartan training with my crew. 💪🙌

I have been going to King's Camp for about 4 months so far. The classes are challenging and different each day. I can't do the normal gym thing. i get bored and lose interest quickly. Mike's workouts have done wonders for my fitness and have kept me very engaged. Additionally, I have started doing Spartan runs. The Open Obstacle Course Race workouts are challenging and really prepared me for the races. My kids love going to the Sunday workouts as well.

I was part of King's Camps and Fitness for a couple months between business travel and if it had not been for my new assignment 6 hours away in SoCal, I would've continued being apart of this amazing gym and crew! The vibe of King's camp is amazing. People are working hard while having fun. The early morning training session schedule fits into my day perfectly. Most folks are wearing masks while training. Gym cleaning is great as well.

Great workout routines! The facility is like most boot camp places: free weights, Trx, box jumps, rowing machines, ropes, mats. What separates this class with others is that no class is identical to another. I feel challenged and engaged.

Mike is an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and motivating instructor. I feel that most people who workout here are focused on improving themselves and are welcoming.

King's Camps & Fitness is a fun, safe option for keeping your kids active and happy. Back in June we signed up our 9yo for a 3-week summer camp, hoping she'd like it as much as the Ninja Warriors birthday parties she'd attended in the past. All the COVID requirements had us feeling anxious: Will the camp be safe? Will it be FUN? I'm happy to report YES, on both counts. The staff was enthusiastic, encouraging, and rigorous about their safety protocols. Our risk-averse, not-athletically-inclined kid gradually gained confidence as she learned to live outside her comfort zone. By the end of camp, she told me her coaches were "awesome" and that she was sad to leave (!). Highly recommend.
