Bear Lake Memorial Hospital

Could have not asked for better care! The doctor and nurse listened to me and gave me the absolute best care! The listened to me and I was able to return back to my kids and enjoy the rest of my family vacation! Thank you for being so kind and quick to get me taken care of!

Came in last Sunday after injuring my toe at Bear Lake. I was taken care of quickly and felt like I mattered as a patient. Jennifer Felter was who I saw, and she was amazing!!! Talked through and explained everything going on, and gave me options along the way. Made sure I felt safe and comfortable. She was exactly the kind of doctor that I needed. The nurse was great too. I was out in less than 3 hours, which I felt like a shorter amount of time compared to some of the other experiences I’ve had taking my children into other ER. Thank you for being so awesome!!!

We had really excellent care in the ER on Thanksgiving Day 2020. We had been involved in a 4-wheeler accident and went to Bear Lake Memorial for evaluation. The ER provider on that day was amazing! Her name is Jennifer Felter. She was not only very competent and thorough, but kind and caring. A nurse named Andrea was caring and attentive. Paul Crane from the radiology department was also very good. We felt like we got excellent care from the minute we stepped into the ER, to the moment we left, with very detailed discharge instructions. Thank you to all!

My daughter broker her wrist while long boarding during our vacation at Bear Lake, so we went here to get her in a splint rather than drive through the canyon back to Logan (those were our in-network options). They told us up front that, while they could take care of her at the hospital, it would cost a lot more than if we went through a neighboring doctor's clinic first --- so they called the doctor's clinic and got us in right away with a PA. We had to come back to the hospital to do the X-rays after being seen by the PA and the X-ray staff was so friendly and kind, they gave my daughter the red carpet treatment. While I know this is a small town hospital with limited capability, they were so great to us and made this painful decoy to our vacation a great experience. Thank you!!!!

I have to give this hospital a huge THANK YOU!
We were on vacation in St. Charles when my son woke up at 4am with severe stomach pain, after a few hours thinking it was just severe gas we decided to take him to the closest ER. My son is 21 year's old with pain so severe that he couldn't stand up. Long story short he ended up having emergency surgery for a vary rare medical condition that we didn't even know he had.
The ER staff, surgeon, anesthesiologist, nursing staff were all AMAZING! Everybody treated us like we were a member of there family. We were 2 hours from home and our son had to stay in recovery until everything physically started working again, 3 days. Honestly the staff made sure we had everything we needed all the time.
I want to personally thank Doctor Cowan, Anesthesiologist Jacob, All the Nurses Richelle, Tracie, Shay, Katlyn, Melanie, Lisa, Callie, Ryki, Taylor, Kenz, Emily, Jess and September. (I probably missed a few names that helped out early on, I apologize for that)
You guys are truly awesome! From the bottom of my heart thank you so much for taking care my family, we couldn't of asked for anything more!

I can't say enough good about this little hospital! Everyone is so kind and over the top there for your care and comfort. The food was excellent!

If there was a word that conveyed bottomless depths of gratitude, coupled with inspiration, hope, and humility, I would be using it here. Doctor and Launa Campbell, and the entire nursing staff this last weekend were incredible. Having baby #4 I never could have anticipated that anything would go out of the ordinary for this labor. However that is far from the way it happened, and after a very slow, long and stalled labor they were still compassionate, and very patient with this tired, hormonal mama. They allowed me to decide what I felt was best for my unborn child and myself while presenting medical facts in a way that was tender but clear. After hours of stubborn exhaustion on my part I chose a Csection and Dr. Campbell and his team preformed flawlessly. At almost a week postpartum now I could not imagine that I would feel as good as I do, just having had a major surgery. The nurses the whole time were compassionate and caring and I will regard them as friends for years to come. This hospital took a girl who was jaded against Drs and hospitals in general and turned that all around. I will forever be grateful.

I was in a truck wreck 03/09/2009..700 plus miles from home..I was taken to this hospital. My back was found to be broken..I have nothing but great praise for the complete operation of the hospital!! They are the very most caring human beings on the planet!!(I know because my late wife was hospitalized several times here in Kansas)the nurses went completely out of there way to help me..they even personally laundered my clothes so I would have cleaned clothes to fly home..the whole staff starting with the cleaning person,office personal,nurses kitchen staff,(gave me extra bacon every morning)and families,to the administrator of the hospital came and visited me...i am so blessed to have been taken to and taken care of by BEAR LAKE/Montpelier Idaho Hospital!! david johnson

Went in for a poisonous spider bite. The staff and doctor were very attentive and quick. But more important, were genuine and natural, no corporate statements or B.S. When you’re rushing to Emergency you don’t consider choices, you just GO! But it’s nice that these people were so good.

Had to visit the ER after an ATV accident. The staff was very helpful and kept me well informed. Very impressed. Hope I don't have to visit again but I'm grateful for those who took care of me.

This is the best hospital experience I've ever had, I couldn't believe the comfortablilty and homie feeling with the nurses and doctors. Everyone was so kind and helpful, I am so grateful for this amazing staff and hospital. Thank you

I had 6 seizures in 1 day and im very glad Dr Campbell was on call in the er he was very thorough and got it figured out they took very good care of me and i appreciate the staff

We are very fortunate to have such amazing providers and medical services available in such a small community!

Dr. Jacobson is the best doctor around! No doubt about it, he is great! 10/10. 5 stars
