This was a small, but very informative museum about Butch Cassidy. Great displays and the gentleman working the day we visited was very knowledgeable. He provides such a wealth of information and history. My husband loved asking him tons of questions! Great place to visit!

Wow, only standing bank robbed by Butch Cassidy. Nice little museum with free admission that tells all about the life of Butch Cassidy, the infamous bank robber and bandit. There are plenty of photos and memoribilia, a must see for those into the history of the wild west. Many items for sale as well, ranging from replica gold bars to tshirts, honey and even the aftershave worn by Butch himself (it smells good, with notes of clove). The proprietor has some great stories of Butch and his gang.

What a great museum so much history I love it plus you get to go into the original safe that Butch himself was in. And a plus you can also check out the old jail cell. Don't forget to talk to the owner he sure is a nice guy. I would highly recommend 😀😀😀

Great museum, got to meet the owner when we arrived, and he was very passionate about the history of the place. No entrance fee, donations appreciated. The souvenirs were good quality and the prices were very acceptable. I forgot to get the name of the gentleman who was working that day, but he could regale you with stories about the area, and of course, stories about Butch Cassidy as long as you could listen. No feeling of a tourist trap at all, just a great place to learn some history. They also confirmed that I was right all along; Butch survived the encounter with the Bolivian Army portrayed at the end of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. 😁 The only reason that I might not go back is that I don't know how much more I could discover, but if I'm in the area again, I would stop in just to say Hi, it was that fun and friendly of a place to visit.

Sadly, when we were there the owner was remodeling so we didn’t get to see the inside of the museum.
Next time we are in town we’ll definitely be stopping by. We love history and can’t wait to explore the museum.

We got a whole new perspective on Butch. Cassidy. It was fun learning. He was more like Robin Hood robbing the rich to feed the poor. The movies sure didn't do the man justice. We love the museum, the gentleman doing the tour gave us so many interesting tidbits of information!

Really interesting place and the gentleman was very knowledgeable. He seems to enjoy what he's doing which really helps. We had a great time. Admission is free, lots of souvenirs to choose from. This place was created in a bank that Butch Cassidy actually robbed, adding to the fun factor. Just a heads up, parking is on the street only.

Fun and fact filled free museum/ historical site. The curator was full of stories of Butch Cassidy. He was very patient with the kids too.
Kids had fun dressing up and being in jail. Adults had fun heading the stories and looking at the artifacts of the old west.

My husband and I really loved the Butch Cassidy Museum. I wrote a book that included some of the mythology behind Butch Cassidy, so we have been visiting towns where Cassidy had a presence. This stop did not disappoint! The attendant was fantastic! Friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to chat with. The museum contains a lot of information, so be prepared to take your time and meander.

There is also a great story behind how the bank was turned into a museum, so make sure that you get that story as well. We will definitely be visiting again!
