Century Gateway 12

Discovered this theater today. The atmosphere is something out of the 80s, the theaters inside are updated and new! But the signage and entrance is old school, which makes it feel so much more like you're going to the movies
! It's really an amazing place, it will definitely be our go to from now on, it's super relaxed and not crowded like the other theaters, for the price you can't beat it! Also love that the parking is so close to the entrance and it's easily accessible. Great experience!

This is an old and not terribly well updated theater. So, from the outside, its appearance does it no favors. However, the inside is clean and fairly well taken care of. I certainly prefer the open feel of the concession area and spacious hallways that lead to the theaters.

The seating in the theaters themselves is much flatter that more modern theaters. This may be a benefit or a plus depending on your preference.

Regardless, this is a decent place to get a last chance to see movies in their first run in theaters at a fair price.

Even though a lot of people won't agree with me on this review I'm still gonna write it. I simply LOVE coming to this theater! Sometimes I just stop by to buy some popcorn to take home with me, but most of the time I go here to see big name movies for a fraction of the price. It's a waiting game I guess. Instead of paying a ton ton of cash to see a movie the minute it comes out, I'm content waiting a month or two until it comes to this theater. That way I can see the movie on the big screen and watch it for far less than what I there theaters charge! Granted I'm sure the popcorn and drinks and so on are pricey but at least i still save on admission! Not only do I save money but the theater isn't awful. The seats are comfy and the theaters are always clean and tidy. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience at this theater. Highly recommend going here to anyone and everyone!

If you enjoy smaller audiences, and don't mind waiting to watch movies, this is a great place! Comfortable seats, with inexpensive tickets.

Though I didn't get any drinks/snacks, it looks like they have some good deals at their snack bar as well.

It's cheap it's old school. But popcorn is good and cheap too. It's clean not dingy. The movies are the same as other theater just after the prime run. It was a good movie experience and I'd definitely go again. Tuesdays everyone gets in for$1.75. I can't even buy coffee for that

Cheap ticket prices, good audio and video. It's not fancy by any means, but it's a great place to just go and watch a movie without crowds of people in the lobby or in the theater. Highly recommended.

My sister and I go frequently. The prices for tickets is better than awesome, and there is a particular young man who greets with a smile and a hug, if you are a regular. I look forward to seeing him. Managers know who he is. Very upbeat young man. There's always something to see for the price of admission. Concession prices are a bit over the top, but its close to home and worth it after all is said and done. Love this theater.

It's great. The prices are cheap, food is fresh, and the theater is clean. My only complaint is that the first review that pops up for this place mentions its firearm policy. The management doesn't lie -- the post is misinformed. And frankly, I'm glad that I can bring my kids to a movie without folks wielding firearms.

I am giving this a 5 star rating based on the value. For $3.50, you can see movies that were recently in the major, upscale or modern theaters. Reasonably comfortable seating, cleanliness, and nearly empty theaters mean you can choose a great seat for the recent movie of your choice, and enjoy it almost as if you had a personal theater. For the value, this place can't be beat.

Nice cheap theater. I worked here about 12 years ago a lot of improvement since then. Glad to see that not only is it still open but it's still a budget theater. They also offer cheap 3d viewing of select titles. The improvements made to this location have made it still a nice place to take your family for a good movie going experience. But just because the tickets are cheap doesn't mean discounted concessions items. They are still owned and run by Cinemark and serve the same snacks and drinks as the more expensive theaters. So don't forget to bring your snack money. All in all still a nice little theater tucked away from the street almost hidden from the world.

Several people mentioned their high level of cleanliness. I thought the same while I was there. The facilities are older. The workers were very polite and helpful.. Someone said their popcorn is very good. I agree. I will be going there regularly. I go to Roadhouse usually and probably still will. But I think I will start going here also to save money.

Ticket prices are awesome! That's how tickets should cost everywhere else is outrageous. Shouldn't have to break the bank for a good night out. Concession prices are where they'll get you but once you try it you'll see your paying for quality and quantity.

Can't beat the price on Tuesdays, under $2!
I've been going for a few years years, always a pleasant experience.
Theatre has nevet been too loud or too cold!
Even non discount days the price is very reasonable at under $4!

This is a awesome place to have date night. Tusedays is the best day to go. Great for if you have a large amount of people and not a lot of cash or just a great evening event on a budget. They also have 3D movie options on some movies (a little extra price but still reasonable). Also a good place to bring the kids they have an arcade while you wait for your show to start.

I love this place because it's the only place in Tucson that is cheap. Sure, you have to wait for movies to be out awhile before they get to this theater. But, its worth it, especially if you can't afford to go to the box office movie theater. Taking a big family to the theater can be quite expensive, unless you go here. It's also a nice theater. It also has nice, big restrooms and a game room.

I love this place! The staff is great and always makes everyone feel welcome. This is the place to chill and see movies on a big screen. If you don't care about having to watch first run films as soon as they come out, but still want to see them; this is the place. They are starting to bring in good Indie films as well.

I love me some Century 12. Many say it's the "cheap seats" but hey, we all like saving money while going out. It's a tough situation to have a good time but break the bank while doing it. At Century 12 you and your partner can get in for less than $5. Not to mention the arcade and the snack bar. The theater is a lot quieter, there's box seats in the back for privacy and away from the little kids. The viewing rooms are amazing and their video quality is fantastic. So if you want to save a buck, have a good time with friends without killing the pocketbook, do up Century 12. It's well worth it!

My family and I enjoy coming here to watch movies at a very reasonable price! The theaters are never overcrowded and the popcorn is delicious. If you’re looking for a family friendly place to go that’s easy on the budget, this place is it. Enjoy!
