I just went and got a hair cut today, and it was overall such a positive experience. I had Hannah, and she was really cool and gave me the perfect cut when I didn't even really know what I wanted. She listened to my super vague ideas and got me such a beautiful cut with so much movement and life to it. I haven't been this happy with my hair in a really long time. The salon itself is really clean with gorgeous decorations, and everyone there was genuinely friendly and welcoming. Like I said, it was a really great experience and if, like me, you are looking for a reliable and reputable salon, this is definitely the right place.

I see Steven, he is great! So fun, listens to exactly what you want (I didn't want to cut length off, just layers, and he did exactly that), and his techniques are mesmerizing! I could watch him lay foils all day!
Everyone there seems very talented, all though i have only been seen by Steven. the interior is very welcoming and clean. I think the prices are very fair for the quality of service. It's so easy to set up appointments also.
For reference, I have thick, long hair. It's literally made stylists cry before. 😮‍💨 so it is hard to cut and color AND style. He did it all with ease, even making it look easy!

I live out of town and was easily able to book a cut with Hannah, and with basically one photo to go off of she was able to give me exactly what I was looking for and struggle to find at home! Plus, the cut took literally 30 minutes, she was so fast! Totally recommend

Julianna did a great job, taking time to understand what I wanted. The cut was great, the color was good, and the salon has a good vibe (snacks, people who clearly want to be there, clean/well-decorated/etc.) I'm excited to come back next time.

I recently got my hair done on a walk-in. I was immediately greeted by Steven Fitzpatrick! I was sat and asked what I wanted and almost instantly was sat to get my hair washed. He was engaging and there was rarely a quiet moment. Which is an insane positive for me. I got a wolfcut and I gave him artistic freedom with it and it turned out amazingly!! I love how cool I look and honestly how quick it was done. I will be going back for sure

I’ve tried a few hair salons in Louisville, and this is by far the best one. The staff is so talented and incredibly friendly. It was my third visit and came for a full color, Josh was super helpful in letting me know what my options were, and how they would look. His advice made me feel assured in the choice I was making. Loved how my color turned outt! Also they all cut hair beautifully, ugh can’t recommend them enough!!

Josh is an amazing professional and made me feel absolutely gorgeous with the haircut and color! Poppy & Rod is such a vibe! They are an inclusive salon and so friendly to everyone. I love getting my hair done here. I’ve used a couple of different stylists and they all do a great job! I do basic highlights and balayage, and they do a fantastic job! But I also love the edgy cuts and fantasy color jobs I’ve seen them do.

Steven is the best of the best in the hair coloring industry. I have been following him all over Chicago for over 8 years, and now traveling across 2 states to see him in Kentucky. I would not intrust my beautiful blond color to anyone else.
