Summit Grill

I didn't eat here, but it looks nice. I took pictures of the menu. They even had live entertainment. I'd say handicap ♿ available, but it has stairs and no ramp to get to ride the tram up to the top to eat at this restraunt. There were bathrooms 🚻 provided. Kid friendly.

We were hesitant, based on other reviews, but we loved this place! Our server, Canaan (younger guy with bushy hair), was SO nice and polite and friendly! I ordered the Ivar's clam chowder to start and then the pot roast stew (it was cold and soup sounded so good). Both were delicious, as was the toasted focaccia that came with both. My husband had the meatball sandwich and he loved it. The views were great, the food was great, the staff was friendly. Not sure what else you could ask for.

What a view and super great food! I frequented this place the entire summer of 2023 and I was blown away by the friendly staff, the ride with views and my seating that overlooked the beautiful area below (Lake Wallowa and surrounding mountains covered in pine and as green as far as the eyes could see). The food here is spectacular, I tried the entire menu from the deliciously juicy Pesto Chicken to the mouth watering Baja shrimp tacos. This place is the BEST Joseph has to offer. Fast service, friendly weight staff, the beer keeps flowing and the taste buds continued, with each trip up the Tram, to be tantalized. This place is a MUST frequent. Five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ !

Friendly staff, amazing views and decent food menu. I recommend coming early, hiking the trails and then do mimosas and apps at the grill before the lunch rush comes.

They have a fantastic view. We had fun with the deer and squirrels which came right up begging for an adjacent diners’ french fries. Would recommend having a drink up there on a sunny day and taking in the surroundings, it is a unique and fantastic way to view the entire region.

I would definitely recommend the tram ride to the top! Its amazing up there! Very photogenic & beautiful views. Its very high elevation so it can be hard to breathe some! Its very worth it though! Its very neat to see the wildlife! The Mountains in the distance are very beautiful too!

Incredible view of Wallowa lake and the surrounding mountain ranges at 8150 feet. The cold ones taste a little better at this elevation. Always a great time when the live band is playing. If you're lucky you can find friendly little chipmunks hanging around ready to find a snack.

The gondola ride up was amazing, and the food was great. I got a Chicken Caesar Wrap which was very delicious and it had a side of potato salad which was very good too. They also served everything with a pickle on the side which I liked because I love picked. Their cobbler was warm and delicious and left me wanting more. The service was very good and the waiter was very friendly. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the mountains as they have an open air eating area where you are covered from the sun while also being able to breathe in the fresh air and see the beautiful mountains around. Overall a wonderful place to be and would absolutely go back again

Food is surprisingly super good and more home made type dishes. Prices are reasonable. Only water is bottled so bring a bottle if you want to save some on a drink. Id recommend the pot roast, coleslaw and pulled pork sandwich. There are a few gluten free options. Sometimes live music. Great atmosphere. Must do experience if you take the tram.

Best dining experience in a long time. I loved the shrimp tacos and the help staff really focused on a relaxing experience. Well worth the $40 gondola ride to the Cafe at 8150 foot elevation.

Staff was friendly and quick as they could with the amount of people there to eat. Food was superb and the gophers running around were just adorable. View was to die for.

Let me just start with the outstanding view this place has, it's something you don't wanna miss!!
Once we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome with some of the best customer service I've had in awhile. ordered the beignets and oh my were they duhlicious. If you're ever in the area i definitely would recommend this place. Good food and drinks, great people and this view... can't beat that.

Beautiful views at the top of the Wallowa Lake Tram. You're out supposed to feed the wildlife but they'll snatch every crumb you drop. Four of us are and drank our fill for less than $100 including a generous tip - staff is friendly and accommodating.

Quick word of advice. The elevation is crazy high (8,000ish feet?). Drink in moderation. Also, expect a temperature drop of several degrees from what you feel at the lake.

There are really nice trails to explore to help walk off the calories!

The gondola ride was AMAZING

The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. The scenery is stunning, and it just gets better from here. Despite it being the day following the Fourth of July holiday, we had no trouble getting a table and our meal arrived promptly. After finishing our lunch, we went for a hike along one of the area's many scenic paths.

We had the Summit Chili, Clam Chowder, Andouille Sausage, Chicken Caesar Wrap, Chicken Caesar Salad, and Pulled Pork Sandwich. Sides were potao salad and coleslaw. Everyrhing was very good. The particular standout item was the coleslaw. It was fantastic. Drinks were good too (soda, iced tea, Arnold Palmers). Plenty of staff, friendly & quick service. Also whoever’s Spotify channel they were playing has great taste 👍🏼.

Our small group of buddies have been coming to Wallowa Lake area for 5 years and have always wanted to take the tram up to the summit. We FINALLY did today. There was NO WAITING at all for the tram. We got our tickets online because we read lines were long...but not today!. After hiking a bit my boyfriend and I went to the Summit Grill to get a table for our party of 6. There was no waiting at all. We ordered some chips and salsa and waited for our friends. We order clam chowder which was delish (Ivar's can't be beat) and chili which was reported as really good. I got ceasar salad which was done to perfection ... And others ordered the shrimp tacos which were to die for. Prices were very reasonable and service welas excellent. Highly recommend!!

Very nice people. Good food. Great beautiful view. Not too crowded.
