I went to him for a surgery consultation and he was upfront with me. I felt like he genuinely cared. He Rec. me to another GI doctor but he said if I need anything to call. Which I have, the receptionist and him have always been helpful and quick to communicate. Which is awesome because I’ve never had that with a doctor before. Best people I’ve dealt with in my medical journey.

Dr Akbari and the resident that's shadowing him are both awesome. Super personable and easy to talk to. Makes what can be a pretty embarrassing experience easy and comfortable.

Their office staff and nurse were also great.

And if you've been around a while, they work through Southside which used to have a reputation in the area. But since Bon Secours took over, it seems to have become a great place. Myself and my grandfather have gone there and everyone has been absolutely awesome.

Dr. Akbari went above and beyond with making me feel at ease. He was so personable and I will never forget the kind words he shared before I was put to sleep. I would highly recommend him to anyone who gets anxious before procedures and who needs more patience than the average patient.

Dr. Akbari is an extremely attention, experienced and knowledgeable as well as having a great disposition to his patients in both the hospital after surgery and in office post surgery. He is very genuine, kind and personable; I couldn't have had a better surgical experience.

Wonderful!!! Dr Akbari made me feel comfortable and at ease before my procedure. I was so afraid of the anesthesia. not knowing what the outcome would be but Dr Akbari and his nursing team made me feel relaxed.

He is a wonderful dr has a great bedside manner. He is funny and very kind.

He recently did my surgery. He was amazing and I was so pleased of his service. He was very friendly. Although the service that I received could have been better before my surgery. 🤨 But overall he knows exactly what he is doing. Thanks so much.
