It's so hard finding a trustworthy mechanic especially as a female and I honestly feel so lucky to have found this place when moving to St Pete recently. Specifically Ryan has been phenomenal! His communication is top tier and genuinely cares about his clients. I'm beyond impressed with his efficiency with getting parts & providing professional grade work. It's far and few between finding a shop with that level of care and customer service. Thanks Ryan!

We had an emergency with our headlights before an interstate move. The staff here were friendly, efficient, knowledgable, and got us back on the road within a couple hours at a fraction of what a dealer would charge. Amazing service! Highly recommend.

I could not recommend Ryan and the team at Mikes Affordable Auto Repair enough. I had the unfortunate luck of receiving a double flat tire, the second of which blew out on the highway close by. AAA was not helpful at all - giving me a 2.5 hour wait time, so I rolled very slowly toward a corporate tire shop and while enroute I passed this shop. When popping into the very busy shop, I explained my situation and asked if they could plug my original flat tire. Ryan immediately inspected the tire and gave it to his team to fix. In less than 15/20 minutes my tire was fixed and back on my car. I could not have asked for a better, honest experience than what I encountered from this group. I am not from the area either - they literally saved me from being stranded! Thank You Team!

I had a check engine light come on in my car and just wanted to make sure it wasn’t something really serious. One of the technicians came and had a look, ran the obd reader and told me what the code was. Spent around 10 mins with me and didn’t charge me a dime. Gave me some useful tips too so that I can fix it myself if I want. Don’t see that kind of honesty and service much these days. Really went out of their way.

Reasonably priced and Ryan was fantastic. My former mechanic wanted over one thousand dollars to replace three censors in the engine of our 2003 G-35. Mike’s charged $540 and got it done earlier than expected! They are my new shop from here on out. FYI, the shop is not much to look at but who cares since they seem to be really honest guys!! The five star Google reviews are spot on! I will take my cars to Mike’s from now on!👍👍

My main automotive spot! Always done same day, very reasonably priced, kind staff with a ton of expertise. I'll be going here for as long as I'm in St. Pete for sure. Been here several times (I've got an old clunker) and every experience has been fantastic.

First time taking my car to Mike's affordable. I initially had a crazy quote on my Honda at the dealer in town. This shop was able to take my accord the same day. After the repair it seemed the brakes needed a little more refining and they gladly checked it out for me and made an adjustment. Thank you again! Found my shop in town!

I had a really annoying intermittent problem with my 2014 Kia Soul that a previous shop said they "fixed" and that experience ended up costing me 1400 dollars and being a huge waste of time and money. I took it here and they diagnosed and repaired it quickly and their price wasn't too bad either. Thanks ya'll. My car runs like new again and no more annoying check engine light and intermittent misfiring.

I was tired of getting poor treatment at the dealer so I took my truck to Mike's and I couldn't be happier with the service. Mike knew the problem, exactly how to fix it, and even went so far as to research the issue to find if it was covered under dealer warranty. Though it wasn't, Mike still handled the claim process with my extended warranty company and got it figured out. My truck is now in perfect working condition. Support small businesses and good, hard working, knowledgeable people. Mike will definitely get my business in the future.

Mike's has been our go to auto shop for a few years now. He is straight forward and honest with any questions and concerns we have had. Ryan and the rest of the crew are awesome. They always answer the phone when my husband calls. Turnaround time for repairs is great. Service is always professional and friendly. I'm really glad we have someone in the area who we can trust with our auto repairs. And who doesn't try to nickel and dime us for things.

The prices are very reasonable, the service is quick, and the people there are extremely friendly. I will not take my car anywhere else. I drive 45 minutes just to take my car there. It is well worth it!

Excellent shop. Good guys. I have a 2011 Toyota van that is in very good condition as far as the engine and transmission but the front end had been reduced to something resembling a Hay wagon from a couple of seasons in the mountains. It had never had any front end or suspension work done on it and the mountains finished it off. I brought it to Mike’s and they had a tough time with it but they brought that bucket of bolts back to something that drives like brand new. And I had to have the van that night and despite the problems they kept running into they worked late until they wrapped it up for me.I think these guys are great and I would recommend them to anyone.

Mike’s Affordable Auto Repair is the real deal. I have personally dealt with Mike and two of his mechanics, Scott and Ryan, with repairs on my aging car. They are all hard working, knowledgeable, experienced, honest, and straightforward with you on what’s wrong with your car. “Affordable” is an understatement; at $85/hour for labor, Mike’s is well below the current dealership rate of $140/hour and national major auto repair chains rate of $120/hour. Just check their parking lot most any Monday morning and there is not a spot to be found, as many loyal customers drop their car off over the weekend and Monday morning for repair, as Mike’s is closed on the weekend giving these guys a well-deserved rest. Mike’s deserves to charge more per hour but he doesn’t, and even when he does increase his prices in the future to give his mechanics well-deserved raises and to offset increases in operating costs, he will still be very, very affordable. Mike also has steady, long time experienced mechanics working for him, unlike the turnover and inexperienced mechanics at many auto repair chains. Plus, these guys take pride in their work, which is a highly admirable trait; it is not just a job for them.

I know quite a bit about cars having worked on them in my youth many, many years ago. I can spot a great mechanic from an average mechanic from a poor mechanic. All of Mike’s mechanics, including Mike himself, are great mechanics and great individuals. I know they would never steer anyone wrong or try to upsell a customer on what dealerships call “necessary” maintenance. I’ve had a number of dealership service technicians admit to me in the past that most of their “so-called” necessary maintenance is NOT really necessary. Dealerships for many years have not made much profit from selling new cars due to online competition and due to so much pricing information available to buyers online, so dealerships have resorted to earning most of their profits from their “unnecessary” service maintenance department as well as their $140/hour labor rates (Google this and you’ll see). Now some maintenance, especially changing all the various fluids in your car at certain intervals and periodically checking your brakes and other items, are in fact necessary and Mike’s will perform these services when it is recommended, in order to extend the life of your car and keep it running smoothly and safely for a long, long time, keeping you safe and saving you from expensive repairs down the road that would occur from neglect of necessary maintenance of your own car.

Bottom line, Mike and his mechanics are the REAL DEAL, and it is my pleasure to know them and to continue taking my car to them.
