Chatterbox Cafe

Once in a while you go in places and you find out it will be your favorite spot for breakfast in Zephyrhills? I found it. Chatterbox makes Omlette with real cracked eggs and you see the texture and taste the land. Handcut home fries with a buttery taste like Mom used to make. But don't tell anyone, for less than $10 you get a complete Omlette with Coffee and toast. My favorite place in Zephyrhills.

Breakast only. Most breakfasts are $7.50 or under. Coffee, cold or hot tea or soda are included. The highest meal on the menu is $9.25. Small, simple Cafe with a very friendly owner/cook and servers. Fast service. Good food.

Just in town for a day and luckily found this perfect breakfast spot. Food delicious and delivered quickly. Prices amazing and the service was impeccable!

Traveling through and picked as a local breakfast place. We were greeted, seated, and served so quickly I couldn't believe it. No frills just a great breakfast stop for great food.

What to say here about The Chatterbox Cafe, what to say? Tough choice whether to give 4 or 5 stars, here is why... It's no frills, no thrills, no fuss, nothing fancy; just good HOT breakfast grub.

Why 5 stars with a small and limited menu? Because it's designed to push a lot of food out with a quickness and get it to you while still steaming. The place is small but by having big booths manages to not make you feel like you're packed in like sardines as so many other places around do.

They are cash only and that's partly how they manage to keep the prices so low, and I do mean LOW. We had 3 meals (2 eggs, potatoes or grits, bacon or sausage, and toast)x2; country fried steak with 2 eggs; split an order of 2 biscuits and gravy; and added 1 pancake... the total was less than $24 and coffee is free with the meals. This would have been $40.00+ at any chain restaurant and probably 1/2 the food would be cold.

If you're wondering how it could possibly be so inexpensive, another factor in keeping prices so low is it's designed to be run with 3 people even at max capacity. A busser, a server who passes every table ever few minutes due to the layout, and 1 cook who is also the owner. You are in and out fast so tables turn over pretty quick.

Give it a try, remember to bring cash. They have been open 22 years so they are definitely doing it right

Very good food and a cute place. Super affordable, 1990's prices. Home fries were good and eggs were cooked perfectly. Definitely will be back for breakfast. Coffee leaves a lot to be desired, very weak but some people like it that way. Could use a little cleaning around the edges too. Still, we loved our visit and we were made to feel welcome. I don't understand a couple previous reviews saying the food was bad. It is just pure simple food like you might make at home but this way you don't have to do the work and cleanup.

Our breakfasts were served quickly and tasted good. Be aware that they only accept cash. I didn't know that until we got there. Fortunately, I had just enough cash in my wallet to cover the cost of our meals and a tip.

Hey people let's rate these business's for what they are. If you want the ritz & pay for it then go there. Don't expect a $15 breakfast for $6.55 W/Coffee . It's been here a long time so could use a update but the waitress's are awesome & the food is what you would expect for the price. I have no interest in this business just believe in being fair. Our only wish is open longer hours but understand why, Thanks !

THIS AIN'T STEAK AND ALE !! But if you'd like a good breakfast with good service and reasonable prices, give it a try!

Great breakfast and great value. I have never had a bad meal here, and there is plenty of free coffee to go along with your meal. The service is excellent as it is a small place, and the owner is the cook. Bring CASH as that is the only catch to low prices.
