In Carolina Beach we love the Bame family. Their kindness got the locals through some tough times. Best hardware store ever. They are so friendly and helpful. Good people good store.

What a great place to find parts for outdated plumbing and other items for the old beach homes. Bennett and his team are highly knowledgeable on just about anything and they will take the extra steps to locate something if they don't happen to have it in store. I've been doing business with them for over 20 years and won't stop working with them until I step over to the other side....

This store has great employees and customer service. We were in a bind and they went out of their way to help us out and make sure we could get home safe. Would highly recommend!

Been going here for years. Great bunch of guys. Always helpful. Could you spend a little less visiting the big box stores? Maybe, but the convenience of not having to battle the crazies OTB, pays for itself tenfold. Thanks Bame Ace, keep up the great job!

I love this hardware store! If you need it, most likely they will have it. I have found things here that Lowes and Home Depot don't have. Plus I like doing business with local stores here on the island when possible. The atmosphere is usually very friendly except for one of the older fellows. He seems like he is always in a bad mood and doesn't greet you or even say hi. But just say your best hello to him and enjoy this wonderful hardware store. Everyone else is friendly and helpful. The store is very well organized and stocked and if you cannot find what you need, the guys there know exactly where it will be.

I have known the Bame family for years and you won’t find anyone finer! This family-run business provides excellent customer service and has anything you may need! Their staff will go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and cared for. Any questions I had were immediately answered.

They run an old school hardware store. The employees are very knowledgeable about the needs of their customers. The big box stores are frustrating as the employees, although nice and helpful, rarely understand hardware. Bame is my go-to place. I'll gladly spend extra money for the knowledge and great service.

They got everything! Lot of times I come in there and need ONE screw (mainly because I messed up somewhere😂) and I have never left the store empty handed! I’m a loyal customer!

Excellent hardware store with friendly staff. Personally, I think it was even better back in the 80's when it was W&W Builders' Supply & Furnishings, but I might be a bit biased in that sentiment. Still, they always have what I need, have fair prices, and treat everyone like a local, so can't ask for more than that.

I love this store. If you're like me & try to leave the island as seldom as possible, this is the place to go for just about anything but groceries. Careful though, if you have a sunglass addiction, they'll have you shucking out the dough before you ever realize you're doing it. Really though, the salesman was really quite helpful & blatantly honest. They have the biggest selection of Costas that you will find this side of the Mississippi, & I was an optician for 20 yrs, still have never seen that many (p.s. they are worth every penny but, if you're gonna get them & you can wear the glass lenses, go w/glass over plastic/polycarbonate. It's a world of difference, thats my professional opinion). All the sales people are so helpful & friendly, or either really good at faking it, either way, its a pleasant exchange every time. If you need something but don't feel like going far to get it, seriously, try Ace first, most likely, they're gonna have it.

Coming from Arizona it's so nice to be in a place where a small town feels good again. These guys know my sister were very politeand took really good care of us when I bought a pair of sunglasses and so did she. I really do miss the hometown atmosphere when everybody knows each other. Thank you very much for the hospitality 🤙
