That's what I'm talking about!!! Island burger & Bites. Thee (extra e added for effect) Best burger in North Carolina. Sriracha relish, is a revelation. I'm not usually a fan of crinkle cut fries, these however, are prepared to perfection. Candied bacon is a must! And I can't say enough about the man who takes the orders, very helpful and committed to customer service! Makes me want to return

We love these burgers! We have enjoyed them numerous times - double cheeseburgers,singles, French fries…tasty every single time. And the service is great! They are so worth the hype!!

It’s a convenience store, but don’t let that stop you! Absolutely fantastic burger! Great burger. Can’t say it enough. We bought three and everyone loved them. Good firs, too!

This is a must visit while in Carolina Beach. One of the best burgers I’ve had, portion sizes are great, and the bacon is top notch. Any time I have friends or family visiting, we make it a point to go here, it’s that good. Don’t be fooled by the gas station exterior, it’s definitely worth a visit!

I totally understand the hype. We vacation around Carolina Beach every year, and we struggle to find really good food. These burgers are amazing. Loved the fries too. Service is slow because they’re always busy, but it’s worth the wait.

Must stop at Carolina Beach. Burgers are juicy and flavourful. The hot dogs are delicious. Great toppings for both. It is inside a convenient store but don't judge this book by its cover. This place is a gem. Take out only.

This place is amazing! Burgers are huge and hand made. Fries are o plenty. Will definitely eat here over and over.

Situated inside a convenient store, you might be tempted to pass this by. The sanitation grade however is 97.5 which is pretty dang good. I had the most flavorful and delicious Philly Cheesesteak I have had in years! Perfectly seasoned. Their burgers are the bomb too. Fresh hot seasoned French fries to compliment the sandwiches. This is a hidden gem. A local favorite. Don’t let looks deceive you, the food here is top notch. No frills straightforward simple delicious grill food. I literally can’t wait to come back.

What a burger. Looks like fresh ground beef patties and deliciously prepared. Served on a brioche bun and your selection of toppings, lettuce, tomato, onion, relish, slaw, chili, mustard, mayo, pickles, etc. The small cheeseburger is 1/3 lb. They ran out of fries while we were there and gave us fountain drinks for free. Truly a very delicious burger. The wait was 45 minutes from placing our order but it was worthy of the wait. Outside deck seating, first come first serve.

Our Airbnb host recommended this place so we made it a priority to come here. We got here on a Monday right when they opened and after we ordered there was already a huge line! Service was great and felt like the food was ready quickly. We each got a cheeseburger and shared fries (definitely can share their fries). Food was amazing, wow. I will remember this burger, it was cooked well and tasted fresh. You have to get the fries, too. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll deff be coming back.

Do not be deceived by the sketchy gas station this place is located within. This food is well seasoned, delicious, and unique. Highly recommend eating at this location, you will not regret it!

The food here is absolutely incredible. By far the best burger I have ever had in my life. Extremely fair prices and large quantities. 1 order of large fries comes in a 2 pound bag. It can easily feed 2-3 people. We will be coming back here soon!

Wow once we did those burgers were absolutely amazing! You have got to try them!

The kitchen was very clean and there has always been an owner standing right there over seeing that everything comes out as the customer likes it.

After you order you take your ticket and then you wait outside in front they call your number you come back in the store and then get your food in a bag. It’s a convenience store too. There is a place to sit outside and eat I did not grab a picture of that I apologize the next time I go I’ll be sure ro grab a video and add it to this review.

This hidden gem doesn’t look like your average typical restaurant. Burgers are cooked perfectly and they are delicious. I believe it used to be a gas station. Inside still has a souvenir area plus snacks and drinks for the road or the beach. Close by to the pier with the carnival by the water.

Food was delicious. Menu is super simple to browse and all options are delicious.

Cheeseburger’s are cooked to a beautiful medium and don’t have any dryness to the patty. All toppings are free for cheeseburger’s.

Philly cheesesteaks comes with all toppings listed unless you want something off. Has a good juicy texture and great flavor.

A fair warning is space is limited inside so if you have a large party the best option is to get a list written down and send 1-3 people for a large party to order.

One of the better burgers in Wilmington. I highly recommend the bacon burger. The seating outside was limited but surprisingly pleasant given that it's a gas station. The service was very good also. Biggest downside was awkward parking, but definitely recommend this place.

Worth it, plus the customer service was 5 stars. Overall friendly people serving some hearty grub. The bacon being sweet is a nice touch and takes it all over the top 👌 🌟

I saw this place on nc eat and play so wanted to try it. Their burger are amazing!! Highly recommend. Do not let the outside fool you! I was shocked to see the sanitation score an 99. Also went to get some skittles from the store that had some Chinese writing on it and had about 20 skittles in it…$5.99 for them. My son had already ripped it so I had to buy them, which was my fault, but just giving a heads up….dont buy no candy with Chinese on it. 🤣

This place was definitely delicious. We drove up to this adorable little hole in the wall and may not have stay had I not seen the pic of the burger on here and although i ordered the single cheeseburger with bacon & egg (and siracha relish) it looked just as good in person as the stacked burger in the photo and just as tasty. Aside from the food being phenomenal and the weather being perfect, the patio deck out back was clean and the almost best part was the service. The people working here are gems. Enjoy!

Stopped here on our way home from the aquarium. Only got one picture of our food bc the burger was gone before it had a chance! Got the bacon cheeseburger, chicken tenders and fries and a hot dog. Amazing burger with all the free toppings you could choose from and a huge helping of tenders and fries. The chicken was so tender and nice and crispy on the outside! Will definitely be back!

Stopped into this Sunoco gas station and noticed a little take out counter over to the right. I headed over and was surprised by the the price for a single burger. It was great, much better than what you would expect to pay for a burger in a beach town. The hot dogs are even less expensive. The prices are great but that's not the best reason to pick up some burgers here. The price may be great but the taste of their smashburger is even better.
My bacon cheese smashburger came with candied bacon on top. The lettuce was fresh and the tomato tasted like it was local and freshly picked. It wasn't like a tomato from the grocery store. This was a real burger at a really good price. The fries here are flavored and they are huge. After we grabbed our order we noticed a back deck area. Come to find out it's there for their customers, and it offers a great view of the marina.
If you're visiting the beach in a budget, or you're looking for real food that tastes good and doesn't cost too much, this is the spot.
