Border Mexican Restaurant

I had a craving for Mexican food so I suggested this location. My wife enjoyed our meal the last time we ate here so she did yes. I ordered the Combination (3 burritos). My wife ordered the Texas-style Cheese Dip (steak, shrimp, chicken). Everything came out quickly. Very tasty and hot. Just what I was looking for. We also ordered a large cheese dip for the complimentary chips. I would highly recommend this location. If you are in the area, give them a try!

This restaurant has the touch of god. I have never been sad at The Border, even crying in the booth feels happy when I’m here. Can not stress this enough. I’m here twice a week at least. They have the friendliest staff ever and always take care of us. The cheese dip and fries combo is unbeatable and nothing is better that a burrito on a rainy day. If I could give ten stars I would. If you’re looking for an alright meal with some average service, this isn’t the place. I was and am blown away every time I am here. I will be in this restaurant every semester until I graduate, and I’m more likely to come back to visit The Border than I am to visit my family. 11/10

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in town. We go quite often & always have good food, drink & service. The manager is very personable, always happy to see us & checks on his customers often. My daughter & I recommend the chicken fajitas. 👍👍

I absolutely had a great time at this restaurant. The food here is excellent, the services is great,the waitress are wonderful and polite. I made an reservation online for the same day and this restaurant confirmed my reservation less than 10 minutes. I will be back!!

I work during the day and then go to night school classes at UWG. I normally go eat at the UWG dining hall before class but decided to switch things up. Googled the closest mexican resturaunt and found The Border. I had the chicken Soup and the street corn. It was delicious. The service was exceptional. I went into my class happy and focused.

The only thing that was weird for a first time visitor is that the entrance is downstairs and that area was closed. Just go up the stairs and enjoy a good meal.

This restaurant is amazing! The manager knows what he is doing and is very professional. They also accepted my service animal and gave me a nice spot on the patio (which I asked for). My server even gave my working dog a bowl of water. The food came out quickly, drinks and chips were refilled, and everything was delicious!

The food is very good. Jesus is very nice and helpful always welcomes you with a smile and he just treats you as family..love it! Waiters/ waitresses are always nice and helpful. The young lady and young man that's always down stairs are the BEST!! Coby...sweet as can be and is always SMILING and that makes the entire time priceless! Not to mention him and her stay on top of their jobs...always full glasses and chips..etc...

99 cent taco Tuesday! Awesome deal and they were delicious! Chips and salsa equally tasty. The host and manager were awesome. Our waitress was...just mediocre. She barely came by to check on us and left us with no silverware. I will definitely go back!

This is my go to place in town. Whenever my wife and I start with the "where do you you wanna go" routine we always just say let's go to The Border.

The place is typical Mexican restaurant fare but it's very good every time. They do have a 20lb burrito challenge but I haven't been courageous enough to try it yet.

Two years ago The Border was the location for my wedding reception. My wife and I eloped to Vegas and returned to a big celebration in the downstairs area of the restaurant. If you're having a hard time imagining a Mexican restaurant as a reception venue then you haven't seen The Border and what Jesus and his staff can do, it was truly magical.

Dinner suggestions: Since I am a vegetarian I usually get the veggie burrito, the grilled vegetables are delicious. My wife the carnivore loves the Loco Mexican with chicken and shrimp. Enjoy!

We moved to Ga and ever since I have struggled finding good Mexican food. I know it exists, I just clearly wasn't going the right places. We moved to closer to Alabama and had the same problem, bland flavorless food. Even the salsa was questionable if it was in house made. Recently we happened to be in Carrollton running errands and since he used to live in that area he remembered that this establishment used to always be packed. So we stopped in. Best decision ever! This is literally the best Mexican food I've had in about 7 years. I NEEDED this! The chicken fajitas had all the flavors I was looking for and missed. It wasn't just heated separately and dropped on a hot skillet you could taste the flavors in the meat. His Pollo Ranchero was drool worthy. There's nothing I appreciate more than flavor in my food. Thank you for finally filling the craving that I've had for way too long. Who knew it would take approximately 20+ restaurants before I found good flavorful Mexican food that I actually want to return for more.

The manager here greeted my girlfriend and myself shook our hands and seated us upstairs. As I was waiting for my food I noticed him running around asking each table if he could help them with anything and once he finished that he began to sweep the floor and clean tables. There is something to be said about a manager that will work hard with his employees and not just delegate task to them.

Always great food...Sangria is also very good. The waitress was friendly & was EXTREMELY great about making sure that we had everything we needed. She also checked on us many times. Have never had a bad experience here!

Excellent service, wonderful food!!! Emily was the best!!! If you want the best Mexican food in the South East then search no further. The atmosphere is very relaxing and refreshing. The wait staff is always super friendly and welcoming. A huge plus is there is ample parking here!! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

My fiancé is obsessed with Mexican food. So we've been to any and all Mexican restaurants in and around town. The border is a favorite! Their salsa and Bloody Mary's are the best around!

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Carrollton. It’s huge, clean, friendly, has an upper level, and lower level, outside seating, and best of all the food is Perfecto... I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves authentic Mexican food. Oh, and the artifacts on the walls are just Grand... A must see, and a must eat kinda place to go.

We love the music and the $2 house Margaritas on Thursday. Food was exceptional and the service spectacular. Love the decor and Patio, too!
