Marc Bar & Restaurant

My husband and I treated ourselves to a date night and chose Marc for our dinner reservation. Having recently moved to Chateau Elan we had heard lots of great reviews about Marc and now we know why. Our reservation was the week before Christmas. As we drove up to the Winery, the twinkling white lights everywhere were breathtaking. Parking wasn’t hard but I will say it is rather dark walking from the lot to the Winery. Once inside the massive entrance we went straight to the reservation desk. We were greeted by a super friendly young woman who was happy to answer all my questions about the place. On the opposite side of the entry there is a tasting room where they offer daily tastings and charcuteries. They offer tours of the winery as well. The friendly hostess, who we later learned was the GM, seated us on the quaint sunroom side. The lighting makes for a very romantic setting. The space is fabulous and so are the acoustics but the decor needs something more and the chairs are better suited for a patio than for a fine dining room. Our server promptly greeted us (Hassan) and made our date night even more special. We both enjoyed a cocktail while we pondered through the menu. So many great choices. We shared everything, opting for the sea scallops as an appetizer, a half wedge salad and the duck for our entree. Everything was outstanding. The duck dish was seasonally inspired with a pomegranate glaze and a real stand out. DELISH! We ordered a lovely Pinot Grigio to and it was exactly what we were wanting. We travel extensively and enjoy dining and I must say this meal was memorable and the prices on point. Kudos to the front AND the back of the house. During the same Christmas week, I treated my son and daughter-in-law to a date night and made them a dinner reservation at Marc. They loved it too. We will definitely go again and look forward to it. I highly recommend Marc!
PS it would be gorgeous to have the vineyards lit up at night. The view from the sunroom overlooking them would be fabulous!

Let’s start with the most perfect waiter in the history of waiting, Lexton! This restaurant needs to change its name to The Lexton because this guy doesn’t serve you, he creates an experience that cannot be described!

Food and service was outstanding! I had to celebrate my birthday belated due to illness a month ago and they still treated me like it was my special day! We got ribeye delmonico cooked with cajun season rub, lamb shank, charcuterie board, portobello mushrooms and brocoliini as sides. The cheesecake was to die for! I eat here each season to try out new menus. (I miss the duck already!) But if you're looking for a romantic restaurant with a great chef and wonderful vibes give them a visit!

Nice restaurant located inside Chateau Elan. The food was great and delicious. I was a little skeptical about it at first but everyone who ate, enjoyed what they ordered. If you have price concerns, this is not the restaurant for you. The food didn't take as long to retrieve and the customer service was good. The drinks at the bar was the best I had ever tasted. They make wine at this location, so they better know how to make drinks. I would return if I lived closed by.

My husband and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary at Marc’s while staying at Chateau Elan, and while many of our experiences at this venue were lovely, the dinner at Marc’s easily tops them all, and dare I say, perhaps ruined steak for me. But I’ll get to that in a minute.

Before I delve into the meal itself, I’d like to offer top marks for the waitstaff. Our waiter was polite, professional, conversational without being intrusive, and knowledgeable. His ability to make a wine recommendation based on my shared preferences was fabulous; he offered a sample as well to ensure I was happy with the selection, which was spot on what I was looking for. The atmosphere was comfortable and our waiter was attentive but without interrupting the intimacy of the evening.

Our food came out without much wait time, properly cooked to our requests, beautifully presented, and incredibly flavorful and impressive, which brings me my evaluation of the plates offered.

We began with a scallop appetizer, which was cooked to such a level of perfection that it seems impossible to have done them so perfectly. It’s as though they managed to cook the scallops as much as they needed to be fully cooked, down to the second, without cooking them even a second longer. They were served over a puree (sweet potato or squash, I believe) that was exactly as spicy as you can get without interfering with the ability to taste and enjoy the food. This presented a Surprising, delicious, and well balanced combination of flavors.

I also had the duck, which was for certain the best duck I’ve ever had, but by then, my husband’s steak had also arrived, and that quickly became the star of the show. I have not had a steak as delicious in twenty years (since the night my husband and I married) and it’s been so long since then, I can’t say for certain which is better, but the steak alone made this dinner memorable and has set the bar for what I expect from steak going forward. Which may be unlikely to be matched at this point.

The steak, cooked medium as requested, had the most delicious outer crust and a savory grilled flavor. The seasonings brought out the taste of the steak (which was a quality tomahawk cut) without competing with the flavor of the steak itself. I didn’t know steak could be THIS good and now steak is forever ruined for me if it’s not going to be this good. It’s the only “downside” I can offer to this meal, and I can hardly fault the restaurant for that. I’ll just be glad to have lived a life with a meal that good.

By the end of the meal, I felt as though I’d just had a good massage - yes, it was that good. It was so good that I felt content and relaxed and overall just…good in every way.

I go out to eat OFTEN (several times a week) and this is the best food I’ve had in a very long time. Perhaps ever. If a steakhouse could make me want to move somewhere, this would make me want to move to Braselton.

It really is that good.

PS: while we have no allergies, I appreciate that they checked before taking our order. That was so thoughtful, and that air of consideration and accommodation was threaded throughout our entire experience.

Food was pretty good, the atmosphere is amazing and service was phenomenal. Came for a birthday dinner and was definitely pleased. Desert was our favorite ;)

We'd been hesitant to go here for years but so glad we did. All around perfect experience. We had appetizers and steaks and did not save room for dessert regretfully. The steaks were perfectly medium rare and all the sides were amazing. The ambiance is very fitting of an upscale chophouse and was fun. Our server was Colin and he was awesome. Very friendly, made great suggestions, knew his subject matter and was perfectly attentive without being overbearing. We will definitely be back.

Today was our first time eating at Marc restaurant and the food and service was exceptional. Absolutely 5 out of 5 stars. Hasan Akdeniz was our waiter and went above and beyond to meet our every need. %100 will request him for future visits.

So I rate for the common man, where a Shoney's can get five stars from me and an upscale sushi restaurant can get three. The point is, is the food and experience worth the price? With Marc's, it absolutely is. There are clientele who will scoff at the cost and others that pay it no attention. But I will say, I have been here twice, and they've been worth every penny both times. You like steak or lamb? You'll probably not get any better, especially if you're not a walking bag of money.

Great restaurant and exquisite atmosphere with Fantastic food. We enjoyed everything starting from appetizer to dessert. Daily special Striped seabass hit the right spot with perfect texture and season.. Robert was taking care of our and he was phenomenal. Very lively vibe all around the winery, front entrance. Plenty of parking around the inn.

Lexston was our amazing host and server who made certain we always had everything we needed for an amazing lunch. My wife has a salt issue and he made sure all was salt free. He really made our lunch special and I would highly recommend him if you are looking for a special dining experience.

The food was amazing! The Salmon was exceptionak and I would recommend it. I had the chicken salad sandwich and loved it. The pinot noir and the chardonnay didn't disappoint.

Dinner was amazing, We enjoyed the "melt in your mouth lamb shank" (that's my name for it), and we also ordered the duck. Poor lil duck-duck or lambie, they didn’t stand a chance once delivered to us! 😁.

Chateau Elan is definitely not disappointing me!!!! It's the whole experience for me. So glad I finally got to be here in this moment. Talk about spoiling yourself and having a great time!!!! The best Scallops I've ever had now belongs to Marc Bar & Restaurant!!!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. We had a great time with great food here. There was a bit of a wait after we sat down, but our waiter, Lexston, was amazing. He checked on us through out the evening and made great suggestions.

Loved this restaurant! My husband and I went for our anniversary and everything was delicious! Service was great as well, would highly recommend!

The food was good and the birthday dessert was very beautiful my mom enjoyed it.

It was our 6 year anniversary and Marc did not disappoint! Our server, Hasan, waited on our every need and was fabulous. We enjoyed the filet mignon and the salmon for main entree and they served decorated desserts with Happy Anniversary! It was a wonderful meal.

My wife and I celebrated 32nd anniversary with dinner at Marc. Food was delicious, Lex, our server was on point and attentive.

Service from Lexston was amazing. Be sure to ask for him when you visit. The dining room can get quite noisy so if you want a quieter meal, ask to be seated in the sunroom area. I enjoyed the charcuterie board, ribeye and brussel sprouts. Malbec was good as well.

Amazing experience having lunch to celebrate a friend’s graduation. Great service, and an absolutely delicious meal.
