Yesterday's Tree Furniture and Design

My husband and I were building a new home in The Ramble from a long distance in 2023. We were at a point where we needed help to pull the architectural details together with the interior design elements. We were at a crossroad where an interior designer’s guidance on furniture, light fixtures, rugs, tile selection and window treatments was desperately needed. We couldn’t have been more excited to meet Cortney with Yesterday’s Tree, who made the transition from a construction project—to our beautiful new home—a wonderful experience. From the moment we met Cortney we felt we were in good hands—she took a monumental project and made it fun! Through open dialogue about our likes and dislikes and with her design expertise guiding us through so many painstaking decisions our stress was gone! Yesterday’s Tree and their entire staff was a godsend when we needed them most. We couldn’t have done it without Cortney, Nick and their entire team. They made our house a home and we couldn’t be happier!

I love this store! I can ALWAYS find something I "need". The staff is courteously friendly...giving me time to browse without feeling stalked. They are also happy to answer all of my many questions. Their design team is awesome! They will come to your home and assist you with all of your design needs...no matter the size of your project. They sell quality products for your home and some truly unique items. Asheville is fortunate to have a store of this quality! And...I love their dogs!!!

My husband and I have gotten wonderful help from the designers at Yesterday's Tree. First, 13 years ago they helped us decorate our living room at our condo and now they are helping us make our new home warm and inviting. We received very professional advice and suggestions about furniture, draperies, and room layouts. Everyone there is friendly, and they listened to our ideas. Their suggestions are excellent, and they are up front about the cost of everything. The quality of the furniture we purchased is the finest. Overall I would rate their business as a10.

Yesterday's Tree is hands down the best furniture store in WNC! Beautiful furniture and excellent service!! The staff are so friendly, helpful and knowledgable about their products. The furniture is top quality with great style. Every time I go in I want to redecorate my whole house! In addition to furniture, they have beautiful accessories and gifts for any occasion.

I absolutely love shopping here! There is such a great selection of high quality designer furniture and home decor at prices I can afford! The staff was so helpful in finding the certain styles I requested. The owner Peggy, was such a sweetheart and even custom ordered fabric to match my sofa!

Love this store! The sales people are so very helpful. It was so nice to be in a store where you were greeted, but then left to wander through the store and not followed around constantly. They have the most eclectic mix of home accessories and furniture I have ever seen. They helped me find exactly what I needed and ordered a sectional sofa to fit my living room exactly. I will be back!

Love the ladies who run this design house. Top brands represented and a long history in the upholstery industry. I have purchased big pieces here on multiple occasions. Even if you do not buy here, the education process will affect what you buy else where. It is worth your time to stop in or make an appointment to learn more. You get what you pay for and should be aware of what you are missing if you do not buy NC made furniture. Also, you should be aware of the unknown “extras” found in non domestic furniture/imported furniture which likely has leaking flame retardants, formaldehyde soaked fabrics and toxic glues found in particle board.

The staff was so friendly when I entered the store. They greeted me with smiles and were very helpful in finding my furniture and home decor needs! Their interior design skills really helped me find the right decorations for my new home in Asheville!

This is a fun store to shop for gifts and local things,
but they also provide great design help. When we moved here, we didn't want to have the same style that we had in other places, but were not ready to go "full mountain" either. YT helped us to combine our beloved items with just enough of their furniture and decor to make our house a place that is unique to us but still at home in the mountains.

We used the in-home design services for our daughter's bedroom. Amanda and Heather were very professional and always kept me up to date on when to expect each piece of furniture. The room turned out beautifully and we couldn't be happier.

Carol, Heather and Peggy were so patient in working with us to purchase a new couch and rug. They gave us honest opinions on our new look and advised us to wait a week on ordering to get the best price. Their offerings are current and adaptable to nearly any devor. Very satisfied customer!

The store is staged to allow you to see rooms and not by sofas, chairs, tables, etc. The Yesterday’s Tree design team is so awesome. They helped us see the vision of what our home and our offices could be. Give them a try and you will be happy you did.
