Umami Seafood/Boiling Crab House

Open on Christmas, just what we needed on our way home from a holiday at the beach. Boil in bag and cooked fresh seafood with excellent spices and kind owners.

Delicious food!! Great quality and flavors. Definitely one of my favorite spots in town

Went there this past Thursday. The outside looked a little sketchy but I still wanted to try it. When walking in, you Could smell the great aroma of seafood and spices. The man greeted us and we placed our order. The food came out and it was HOT!!! That was the best seafood bag I’ve had in a long time. I got crawfish, shrimp, and crab legs. They definitely gave me my moneys worth. I will be coming back. 10/10 recommend.

Their food is good 👍🏾 most of the time but I wonder there are times the flavor is lacking. Maybe 🤔 some ingredients are lacking that day?

So glad we stopped here! It's hard to find good Japanese food in NC and this unagi don exceeded expectations. Shrimp & mussels were really tasty too, wish we lived closer

Went in, food took a little to come in but the wait is definitely worth it. Great prices and sweet tea was extra good. The shrimp and the spiciness is almost perfect. The waiter was nice and helpful, and the waitress was as well. Great place definitely will be returning.

I ate here earlier tonight and it was a great experience. The wait staff were friendly and informative when asked about menu items. The food came quickly and was piping hot. I mean everything we ordered was piping hot all at the same time. I ordered the catfish and fries basket with a order of chicken wings and my lady ordered the shrimp and crab boil with corn and potatoes. The food was excellent and we will be coming back...

Great restaurant if you like calmness, and not being overly overcrowded. I only order the boil Combo's which are great. So great I eat there once a week, sometimes even twice Lol.

This was our first time eating here and the food was delicious. We had the steak and cheese egg rolls for our appetizers and for seafood boil with the crab legs and shrimp with the bang bang flavor. The food was very well seasoned. The plum wine was very good also. The server Rebecca was so nice and she met all of over needs. We will be back again.

The seafood boil lunch special with shrimp, egg, potatoes and crab was great!! And the steamed oysters with butter and garlic was sooooo good!!!

Calamari was cooked properly, catfish was good, but to my amazing surprise, their hot wings are FIRE! Absolutely amazing..... great home made buffalo sauce! My favorite part of the meal. Dont get me wrong the seafood was good, but the wings were amazing and the basket of sides with the catfish is very big!

Went to Boiling Crab for lunch twice now. The hibachi shrimp and vegetables were delicious. The serving was more than I could eat and I took a box home. Just as yummy the next day. The salad was fresh and the dressing was excellent. The young lady who waited on us was friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable. Looking forward to eating there again.

Delicious huge bags full of butter & crab & potatoes & shrimp 10/10

Tried Boiling Crab ( now named Umami ) tonight, near corner of Ash and Spence- it was absolutely delicious! Husband had shrimp boil and I had snow crab boil. Very reasonably priced for a good amount of food. The corn and potatoes were yummy and the seafood was great. Service was prompt and food arrived quickly. We definitely will go back- loved it!

1st visit!!! Very polite and helpful! He had much patience with me and trying to figure out what to order! But Food was AWESOME! I LOVED MY PLATE and some of my hubby's lol! It is pricey not steak house pricey! More! We got a meal a piece to split so we cud try more. Also ordered an appetizer, and a water and tea. Its was a lil over $80.00. 2 people

Though I didn't get seafood, everything my family and I tried was delicious. We had wings(crispy, lemon pepper, and barbecue) fried rice, sweet potato fries, and a hibachi chicken plate and vegetables. Everything was served hot and fresh. Went during lunch period and also received a complimentary salad with your choice of dressing. Prices reasonable. Will go again!

The first time I came here, the food was HORRIBLE. Now that they are under new management, the food is absolutely AMAZING! The crab bag with shrimp was very flavorful. The customer service was impeccable for the dining area! I will definitely return.
