The Buttered Biscuit

Found this on our way back from Gatlinburg. My sister's and I stopped in. These biscuits are huge! Burger was great The Scrambled Bowl was good. We watched French toast and pancakes, and some of the largest waffles I've ever seen go by. It all smelled amazing. The service was wonderful even though the place was packed they were on top of everything. The atmosphere was good! This is a definite stop highly recommend this.

Best biscuits in western NC, maybe the whole state. If you are going to call the business "The Buttered Biscuit" it had better be a mean biscuit. Simply put, it is
. We had the tenderloin with egg and the Buffalo Chicken biscuit. Both were awesome. The biscuit texture is unique but delicious. You had better be hungry or you'll be taking half the biscuit home with you as the portions are huge.

This little restaurant is like a bee-hive. Fast, efficient & very sweet service. True southern hospitality (yes, I am a southerner so - there you go).

The food was top-notch — by far the best biscuits I have ever had. My wife loved her French toast! Will come back again! Thank you!!

I was a chef for 5 years and im picky but here the food is phenomenal. The portions are absolutely huge and their biscuits are the size of dinner plates and you get two. It’s a one in a million breakfast restaurant and absolutely worth coming here. To get seating only takes 15 minutes, It will fill you up completely, won’t cost more than $10 for a person and the service is excellent. And I love the atmosphere feeling like I’m at a diner my grandparents would have eaten in.

We arrived at the Buttered Biscuit at 9am. The parking lot was very full but we were lucky to find a place to park our vehicle. If you ride a motorcycle, they have a bunch of parking spots designated just for you right up front.
I ordered the two egg breakfast with biscuit and gravy for $9.79. My companion ordered the Country Folks breakfast with 2 eggs, country ham, hash browns and biscuit and gravy for $13.95. Everything was very good. Their portions were very large. You definitely won’t go away hungry from this restaurant.

If you're visiting the Waynesville/ Maggie Valley area, you really should give this place a try. The food was authentic southern fare, the portions were generous, the server was cheerful.

Great restaurant! I was recommended this restaurant by a friend and we decided to stop by when we were up here. Service was awesome. Samantha, our waitress was very friendly and patience. Everything that we ordered came out correctly. I got the bacon cheeseburger. It was really good. Very filling. Definitely will be back next time we’re in the area!

What a great little restaurant this is! The first thing that caught our attention was the name. How could you not try the Buttered Biscuit. Then we read the reviews on how big the biscuits were & we knew we had to check it out. We are really glad we did. It's a clean, bright restaurant with very friendly employees. We were seated & waited on very quickly. Our food came out quickly & the biscuits did not disappoint. If you are in the area, you should really stop in & check this place out.

Friendly service and great home style food. My daughter loved her French toast and bacon. The buttered biscuit was the size of a large cinnamon roll. My mother loved the scrambled special. Definitely worth a stop if you are in Waynesville.

The entire staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked the door.

The service & food were outstanding that we had to return for breakfast the next day. It was one of the best homemade breakfasts we have ever had away from home. The biscuits, biscuits & gravy, strawberry pancakes & the eggs are perfectly made…absolutely scrumptious!. My family raved all day over the biscuits & gravy. Don’t forget to ask for Janice & tip her well! She is worth every dollar & cent! She provided my family with exceptional customer service! AND… tip the cooks! They make that delicious food! The Buttered Biscuit is an awesome breakfast spot!! The service is great; the coffee is flowing; the food is delicious; and the portions are large—my wife and I split our meal and it was plenty!! Strongly recommend!!

My food pictured is just one meal. Yes hard to believe. Price was great. Our waitress I believe was Cora (sorry I'm terrible with names) was fantastic but from what I saw there are no bad servers there. Go with confidence in the food, prices and the service. Wish I could give them another star.

Went today for the first time and had a great experience. Probably the best onion rings I’ve ever had. Even better with their ranch dressing. Service was amazing and never had an empty glass. Even had a to go cup without even asking. Have to come back and try breakfast as the biscuits looked like cakes.

EXCELLENT breakfast!! The biggest biscuits I've ever seen!! I had the Philly omelet and my husband had the Scrambled Bowl. The pancakes that others ordered looked delicious, we will order those next time. Wonderful service and prices. We visited the area from SC and are very familiar with the options. We ate here on the way home, and if you aren't going here you are missing out.

This was my first time eating there. I ordered a biscuit, hash browns and grits. They all were very good. I didn't realize just how big one biscuit was going to be! The biscuits they serve are bigger than a cat's head!
Staff was very friendly and service was fast. If you order coffee, someone will come by to refill it if you want.
During their busy times they can send you a text (with a link to your que position) when your table is ready. I really liked that feature.

The biscuits are H U G E and so buttery. We were visiting from Florida, and truly would recommend to eat here if you’re looking for a delicious breakfast/lunch!

Country fried steak was also great, the gravy is well done. Hash browns were cooked to perfection with the crispiness and the fried Squash was new for us, but would eat again just add some salt because they could be bland. It’s extremely affordable as well, just overall somewhere you have to stop at if you’re in Waynesville!

Came at 9am Friday got last table. Biker haven. Biscuits gigantic and delicious. Ordered bacon cheese omelet with tomato and green pepper "soft" and juicy ( many restaurants serve dry ones - thisone good). Husband's egg/bacon/grits meal very good. Service by Gabby excellent and amazingly fast! We will be back but carefully choosing time without waiting. Check for which days and times they're open.
