Friends & Fiberworks Yarn Shop

I was pleasantly surprised walking into the store - so much yarn and such a wide range of prices, colors, brands, different weights of yarn! I found what I needed to finish my project and to start a couple more. The ladies offered to wind them for me and while they did that I admired their unique table and benches from Alaska! I still chuckle at the story of it being delivered to them after their cruise! And the electric ball winders!! Very cool! I’ll be back soon!

A fantastic variety of all yarn weights in so many colors! And if you don’t see what you wanted, the staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I love walking through the “barn” (yes, it’s that big) and taking in the selections that inspire me to add more yarn to my basket and more projects in my queue! I wish I lived closer to the store so I could “browse” weekly, but Friends and Fiberworks has a great website! I love this yarn shop! Check it out.

I wish this was my LYS (though maybe my wallet doesn't!). A great selection of yarn and tools at all price points. I'll be sure to stop by next time I'm in the area!

Such a terrific selection of good quality yarn, incredibly amazing and friendly staff, and competitive prices. It is an hour's drive for me to this delightful LYS, and would recommend y'all to stop in.

Friends and Fiberworks offers everything! Oh my, I walked in and was so taken back of the walls covered in colorful yarns from all over. A large facility in the middle of countryside near Asheville. Service was kind and helpful throughout my experience. I can't wait to bring my sister!

This is now my go-to store. Not exactly close and convenient, to where I live, but 100% worth the time to get there! Its a big, well lit store full of scrumptious yarns, and the people that work there are super friendly and helpful, will take the time to help you out of any catastrophes you've knit yourself into. Bonus, you can just hang out and knit for a while, if you're so inclined. I've been looking for a knit store home since I moved here almost 2 years ago, and I found it !!

An awesome yarn store. The samples in the store are inspiring. I want to knit them all. Owner is really nice and very helpful. The shop is huge. The yarn selection is amazing. The shop is 19 miles away from my house and worth driving every mile.

While visiting a friend in NC, I visited a lovely yarn shop - Friends and Fiberworks. Everyone was super friendly, offered expert advice, and let me touch all the beautiful yarn. Purchased lovely cotton yarn and Malabrigo yarn in gorgeous Talisman 249 color. It turned out a lovely wrap. I'll definitely stop in when I'm back in town. Thank you.

I do not live in N. Carolina, but have weekend getaways in the Maggie Valley area. Every time we visit we make a point to visit the shop to replenish supplies. The choices are vast & the shop is well stocked with notions and even introducing new trends. I visit the website a lot, but because I prefer a hands-on experience, I just make a list to shop in person.

I saw a couple sweaters that were made up and had a number of questions. The woman that helped me was great. She took the sweater down and invited me to try it on. That clinched it for me. Unfortunately there were not enough skeins of yarns (colors) I wanted. We worked thru what was left. I was very happy with my purchase and help I was given. It is an easy pattern to follow. I have started carrying my knitting everywhere to get it done!

I'm from out of town and needed some wool to mend a sweater and stumbled across this little gem of a shop. Definitely worthwhile to visit. Staff is friendly but not at all pushy. Really enjoyed the visit and found exactly what I needed!!

Great store! I make it a point to stop yearly on my vacation. If you can’t find a special yarn or project, it doesn’t exist. Pleasant,friendly staff and 5 star service!

I’m from Ann Arbor, but I stopped in when we were visiting family in Asheville. I think I spent a couple of hours here! The selection was huge, and the staff were all really helpful! I finally left with yarn for three sweaters and a pair of socks. It was a fun day!

Stopped in for a look around and WOW, the vast selection! It was beautifully displayed and felt warm and inviting, though a little intimidating for a newbie like me! It was hard to focus and just pick a few things, but I managed! Everyone was helpful and it didn’t feel pretentious like some fancy yarn stores I’ve been in. There was a small group of regulars seated discussing patterns and and sharing advice while they worked on projects. Made me want to move to NC. It’s off the beaten path, but magical! Worth the drive.

If you are into any yarn craft you MUST check out this store! I travel 40 minutes from Fairview to shop here over other locations because it's like Willy Wonka's yarn factory. There is SO MUCH YARN!! All weights and fibers from all around the world. If you need quality materials this is where you want to be. Plus the workers are super helpful and there is even a large area to just knit/crochet and chill.

I loved visiting Friends & Fiberworks Yarn. Everyone is super helpful & friendly. And since I no longer drive, I appreciate their ordering process and quick delivery. Their selection of yarn is fantastic!

Lisa and her staff are wonderful. The shop is well stocked and the website is easy to use. I have ordered online and been very happy with my purchases. I highly recommend!

Lots of yarn. A wonderful cozy sitting area to sit and knit or even find patterns.
The staff is very supportive and knowledgable about the various yarns. If one person doesn't have the answer, a staff member who could answer your question was found.

No one makes you feel rushed.

The store has an incredible selection of beautiful yarns and assorted notions. The staff are very courteous and helpful and I'm thrilled with my purchases! Here's a scarf that I knitted with Noro yarn from the store.

I love this shop. Lisa and Robert have a great section of yarn, needles and supplies. Lisa helped me select yarn to make a special baby blanket. Their location in the country is lovely. I've been shopping there for years, when I'm in the area.
