Had a great time in a low key down to earth bar. Service was great and not that expensive. Love the local places.

No food (other than popcorn), just cheap beer right next to the coast. This is the local's hangout and I love it. Always super nice, great people, and cheap beer. No frills at all. It's the kind of place where "top shelf" means Smirnoff instead of aristocrat.

This is the place at Kure Beach where "everybody knows your name" and the friendships are strong. The reason for my most recent was the Retirement Party for a local guy: one of the Awesome bartenders contacted some of the regulars and we put on a great celebration! Our other Rock Star Bartender was serving Cold beer, there was music on the jukebox, shooting pool - sounds like a typical bar?. Nah- it's better- it's Bud&Joe's!

Great bar staff, fun environment with locals that are happy to meet vacationers too. Feels like you’re fast friends with everyone there.

This quaint, cozy bar is located only several feet from the ocean yet remains central to the Kure/Carolina Beach communities. It has remained a favorite spot for decades amongst locals and tourists wanting to hang out and have a relaxing cocktail/ watch the game/ shoot game of pool/ play trivia and more! The owners and staff are very friendly and seem to be locals themselves so they can direct you what not to miss while you're in town!

The definition of the "dive bar" genre. Perfect for dropping in for that last night cap before the hotel room. Highly welcoming and hard to not fit in, no matter your age, or preference when it comes to the personality that you exhume as a long time bar patron / occasional spirits.

Favorite place to go. The staff is always good and I like the locals I've met here in the 4 years we have been going. Was disappointed Sonja was not here this year, always looked forward to seeing her.

Small hole in the wall bar with great service and low beer prices. Very clean and friendly.
