We've been enjoying the Deck House for > 20 years, and it's been consistently great. To the owners, please don't change thing!
To those considering going, this place will be one of those that you bookmark to ensure returning every time you visit Carolina Beach.
Highly recommend the Grouper Chowder & Grouper Special.

It was our first time to visit. It was a wait but that was to be expected on a Friday night at 7:00 pm during peak tourist season, only about 15 mintues for the 2 of us. I got grilled Maha and my wife got Stuffed Flounder. Both meals were quick, fresh and hot. Both were very good. I would recommend this restaurant and would put it on my return to list. The setting inside an old church help add to the experience.

The reviews are right about the wait, if you aren't there before the doors open you will have to wait around an hour. We got there at 5:06p and had a 40min wait. We waited in the bar area where the bar staff was very aware of who needed drinks and they made the drinks well. Their margarita was the best we've found on CB.

Once we were seated our waitress was very friendly and did her best to ensure we had everything we needed. You are given bread and butter while you wait for your order. We had a salad, shrimp scampi with a baked potato, and stuffed flounder with green beans and grouper chowder which the portions and flavor both exceded our expectations.

I'm going to say that the negative reviews can be ignored. Those individuals obviously had the wrong perceptions, expectations, treated the staff poorly, and/or were overly difficult.

We will definitely be back the next time we are in Carolina Beach! Keep up the good work.

Great drinks, cozy atmosphere, excellent food. I'm so glad we decided to give them a try! The grouper chowder was great

Food was very good with excellent flavor. Pricing seemed high, but will chalk that up to it being fresh. We got mussels for app, shrimp scampi and grouper broiled along with grouper chowder. All tasted great. Old fashioned they prepared was below average.

This just in: key lime pie is awesome!

On vacation, and went here for dinner after traveling in from Charlotte. Conveniently located right across the street from our hotel.

Service was excellent; Amber was attentive, energetic and professional.

We started with mozzarella sticks and the seared Ahi tuna. Both were great.

My wife ordered the blackened chicken Alfredo. The chicken was seasoned very well, and sliced very thin which was great. The Alfredo sauce could have been more flavorful, but the seasoning on the chicken brought plenty of flavor to the dish as a whole.

I had the Grouper picatta, and it was exactly how I imagined it would be when I ordered it. The fish was lightly battered and cooked perfectly, and the lemon caper sauce was great.

Overall a great experience, and a perfect way to kick off vacation. Will be back again.

Nice place. Wear some decent clothes for dinner. Tasty, fresh, made-in-house food and soups. A few GF selections. There is a nice big bar and lounge in back for drinks and sports or just hanging out.

Our meal was perfect. Great broiled seafood platter. Excellent cheese cake with strawberries and blueberries. Very busy but had good service.

We love the Deck House!! Amazing food, relaxed atmosphere and top notch service (Amber was a Rock Star!!). Highly recommend this place!!

Really great food. The grouper chowder was excellent. Main course I got seafood stuffed flounder. Stuffed with crab, and some lobster. The sauce was out of this world. Picture attached

Starting with the bread it was fresh baked and crispy. After that the mozzarella sticks were awesome and finally the chicken deck house was as always flavorful and a fair portion.

Food was awesome. And our server Zac was great.

The bartenders worked VERY well together. The service both ladies provided was second to none! They were both extremely personable and provided very prompt service. The food was tremendous as well. The lobster rangoon was a terrific appetizer. Highly recommended but go early!!

Food was good. Caleb was an excellent waiter.
The only issue I had, the crab legs were too small. I had to toss some away because the legs were too small to try & get it out. What I did eat was delicious.

I live and work in CB yet have not ever had a meal here until tonight and it was amazing . Seafood pasta and grouper chowder insane good ! Our server Ashley had been there 6 years and was so comfortable and fun , our in-laws loved the food so much . Definitely one of my favorite restaurants on island now !

To start, the wait was happily less than promised. Then we met Zach, waiter extraordinaire. He was friendly, attentive, informative and made us feel very welcome. He gets five stars too. The stuffed mushroom appetizer melted in our mouths. The Manhattan clam chowder was exceptional. We ordered the seafood pasta and the grouper special and they were simply perfect. If you are anywhere near Carolina Beach, don’t miss Deck House. You won’t be disappointed.

This surely is the best seafood restaurant in Carolina Beach. It is not possible to give it less than 5 stars. Zack was a really good waiter. My wife's fried shrimp was perfectly breaded and tender. The scallops & shrimp in my seafood pasta was tender and sweet and there was plenty of sauce. The homemade bread was also very good. I normally balk at meals priced over $25, but these meals were worth every penny.
