Mike Chappell Park

Great local park and facilities for the Carolina Beach community. We have used the sports fields for our son’s soccer practice, the dog parks for our 3 dogs, playground for our youngest son, and always love to see the skateboarders at the skate park. Feel very fortunate to have all of this close by, and have it be so well maintained.

Also the greenway that starts here, is very nice for my daily morning runs.

So when it comes to your standard issue park fare this place has you covered and it does a great job of it. Plenty of space for sports, activities, and the playground are awesome for the little ones and in great shape... but it's the extras that come with the deal that make it a ride worth taking. It's got a great concrete skatepark and a brand new island greenway that's opening soon as of the writing of this review that is shaping up to be a beautiful thing for all your biking, walking, and running needs. Kind of a hidden gem on an island that is normally known for its beaches.

A wonderful sports park! A large selection of sports. You won't get bored there. The dog park is not particularly large, but very nice and clean. 🥰

Our kids enjoyed their playground. Lots to do and see at this park that has it all.

Town of Carolina Beach Island Greenway is great ❤❤❤ and the park has many options for adults and kids. Tennis court, basketball, skate park, soccer, and more.

Nice basketball courts, baseball fields, playgrounds, and trails. All you can ask for as well as picnic tables. Great for families!

We brought our dogs here every morning while we were on vacation. A great place to let our mutts get some exercise and socialization with other dogs.

Our dog Clyde would give this place 5-stars. The dog park is always clean and everyone is friendly. The community does a great job keeping up the park

Love this park. Very family oriented and plenty to do.

This is an excellent park for little children to play. I really like the fact that there was two play areas. One of the playground area for younger children and the other one for older children. The only down fall was dog owners not picking up the dog's mess and disposing of it properly. My youngest grandchild almost stepped in, because it was near the walking path.

Nice big park with many activities. We parked close by the pickleball/tennis courts. They have portable nets for pickleball and while I prefer dedicated pickleball courts, we didn't have any problem putting the net out and playing pickleball.

The skate park is good for all levels.

This park is great! So thankful to have a spot to let our pup run off leash and we met some nice locals with sweet pups. The dog park section is located between the ball fields.

We took the greenway down to Mike Chappell Park to let our dog play in the dog park. Great park! There's baseball and soccer fields, a skatepark, a tennis and basketball court, and a playground. We'll designed and maintained.

It's a cool little park. It's not huge, or spectacular, but the town stays on top of maintenance. Two baseball fields, a big wide open area/soccer field, basketball court, tennis court, skate park, and kids playsets, with easy access to the entry of the greenway.
