Chevys Fresh Mex

5 stars plus a heart for the tortilla soup! I lived in Mexico for three years and discovered my favorite tortilla soup there 20 years ago. Chevys topped it today. The waiter informs us that is it made fresh every day. It has plenty of chicken and avocado chunks, just the right crunch on the tortilla strips and perfect flavoring with just the right amount of heat on the broth. I added a cup to my meal and wished I had the ordered the bowl!

We have eaten here a couple times and enjoyed it. Yummy food and friendly staff.

We went there on sunday and were able to experience a free meal for kids, honestly, the chicken tender has a very hard fried breading which my toddler didn't like much. Overall, the food was good especially the sweet corn cake side and service was quick.

Best Mexican in St. Louis by far and has been for over 25 years. Or should I say best Fresh Mex? Only complaint is I wish they still has as many locations as they used to. Best chips and salsa around too!
Tip……. Ask for the spicy salsa as well.

We lost our Chevys in Bloomington, IL several years ago! We came to see a show and I had to show my boyfriend why I love Chevys! We had the chicken flautas. They are so so so good and they taste exactly the same as they did in my town years ago. The house made chips are great and my boyfriend loved the salsa! I'm not a huge salsa person but theirs might be the best. That jalepeño jelly on the flautas... I am as impressed as I have always been.

Had a wonderful lunch experience the chips were light in crisp and the salsa was so delicious which is that little bit of cilantro added to it. I had the chipotle, chicken enchilada, and it was delicious five stars all the way.

Still the best Mex in STL! I have never had a bad meal or service. Homemade salsa is to die for! Highly recommend Tesson Ferry location. I get the "pick two", cheese enchilada and chicken flauta. Comes with rice, awesome mex beans and a scoop of sweet corn.

Went for lunch 1-18-24 and it was wonderful. Tracy worked hard to serve us and we appreciated that attention. Chips and salsa were excellent too.

Been coming to eat at this Chevys location now for over five years even though I've lived 2 minute away from another Chevys.The staff here is very friendly starting with the host the mature lady always welcomes us with a great smile.Drinks and service from the bar are exceptional.Food taste and quality are great and consistent.Severs here are great moving at a fast pace.We met Gabriel from Miami for the first time.What an amazing experience he gave us we loved is energy and funny jokes.Great place to come and kick back and eat and drink grate.

Had a very nice lunch with my wife. Our server Gary was very professional. Prices are very good. Their food is much better.

One of my favorite places, salsa is great!! Fave dish is Flautas, I've turned on so many people to this dish. TRY IT!!

We love LOVE This place. This time, though, the waiter we had was Treating us like he was annoyed that we were there. Not happy about that! But I know that all places usually have 1 bad apple.

No negative feedback. A wonderful experience and close to home. Margaritas are delicious and a great variety.

The chips and salsa are always deelish! We also experience fast and friendly service when we are here. Good work. Especially in 2023 where it's hard to staff larger restaurants 👍

Hands down my favorite Tex-Mex restaurant in St Louis!!! You have to go to the Tesson Ferry location though! Steller food, awesome happy hour, fantastic service, personable/professional owners!

Loved the food, our service was great only wish Chevy's would be more consistent with offers made by corporate company.

After a day of delivering our grandkids back to mom and dad after a week with us, we decided to visit our favorite antique malls. The South County Antique Mall always has lots of stuff to choose from. We bought several things.
On the way back to the interstate, we saw Chevys Fresh Mex and decided to try it. They have traditional Mexican food with a twist. I had the combination platter with a taco, burrito, enchilada, rice and beans. It was all very tasty.

It’s Chevys and it’s delicious! They have the best salsa in the entire city. I’m willing to debate that. Another unknown fact is that they also have amazing ribs. I’m talking fall off the bone, tender and juicy ribs that melt in your mouth. Weird right? On this visit I got a chimichanga and it was as tasty as expected. I’ll always go back for more!
