Latella Gelato

From the 🍨🍦 gelato, to the 🍬🍭 candy, to the gifts, artwork, and the exceptional customer service, Latella is a must visit on the boardwalk of Carolina Beach. Their flavors are wonderful, they have dairy free, and vegan options too. I highly recommend the cappuccino and mint flavors. They even have coffee and an affogato here.

Came here in the mood for dessert and hot chocolate. Note: anything alcoholic (gelato and/or drinks) is supposed to be consumed on the premises.

Came after 8 pm so street parking near the boardwalk was free in late March!

In the mood for a cool satisfying drink along the lines of a Vegan protein smoothie/shake, I find Latella Gelato along the boardwalk and happily buy a Vegan protein smoothie/shake. The "Pink One" is satisfying, not grainy, smooth, and cool for a hot/warm time. Customer service is helpful and kind. The establishment offers more than consumables. Chill Light Artsy Beach Vibes!

Not just Gelato. Hot and cold drinks, popcorn, chocolates etc. Also drinks for the 21+ age group. There are tables and chairs inside which is great because the boardwalk gets hot & crowded. So it was nice to be able and relax with our drinks. I got the magic lemonade which tastes just as good as it looks. Also a frozen hot chocolate which I thoroughly enjoyed. Next time I'll try some of the many Gelato options.

Lovely place but I not sure in will survive once the season starts there is limited choices compared to the other places. They need to add a unquiness factor. Be more prominent about the coffee. They might be the only place apart from Britt's where you can get coffee on the broadwalk. Also maybe add a topping bar along the window. add topping price and allow self service.

Very good gelato! I tried two vegan options and my husband had the vanilla, which he said was delicious. The kool-aid flavor tastes exactly like the drink! So yummy! It was so nice to find a place where dairy free options were available! Lots of cute candies to buy as treats as well!

We went in October, and their gelato flavors were decked out in creative Halloween flavors. The staff was very friendly and upbeat.

Loved it! Eating DQ Blizzards my whole life is was like the end of the world when I realized I had problems with dairy. For years I have been unable to enjoy my favorite indulgence, but not anymore! Places like Latella Gelato are becoming more popular to offer non-dairy treats for those of us who crave “dairy fixes”.
They offered 3 different varieties of flavors. I chose the salted caramel flavor. It was very good! Great texture and made fresh every day! Great place for me to visit when I’m on that side of town! I’d for sure sing for Latella Gelato! I’d even write them a free jingle for lifetime supply!

One of the newer editions to the boardwalk and very much worth checking out! Friendly, amazing staff and the Berry Blast smoothie is an all time fav of mine! Of course the gelato is great! I don't think you're allowed to put it in your name if it isn't. Very clean and family friendly and very much worth a visit.

It’s so nice not having to wait to go out of state to Virginia or even Miami for some homemade gelato! It’s so conveniently located right on the boardwalk of the beach AND they have new flavors daily! This is the new wave! Very clean location and wonderful staff.

Great place to escape the heat of the beach and have some nice gelato. They have vegan options and adult beverages as well. Strongly suggest going here

Anytime I am down by Carolina Beach I make sure to stop by. They have lots of dairy free vegan options. The employees their are always super nice and helpful. It's nice being able to try the different flavors before ordering. They also have coffee. I highly recommend.

Good gelato, smoothies and service, just off the boardwalk.

Excellent vegan gelato! I got strawberry and mint chocolate. Wow…I’m so glad that we stopped by this place. There are many options here, but I felt like we made the right choice.

I got the banana cream pie.. it slapped!!! The other was the blueberry lemonade and it was super delish as well!

literally the best gelato/ice cream i have ever had. i went to squigglys the other night. DISAPPOINTING! should have came here. i got the berry cheesecake lawd oh my gawd have mercy i could've eaten the whole tub of it. CREAMY. DELICIOUS. HEAVEN. love you latella gelato. you made my stomach happy.

Tried their Cinnamon Roll flavor tonight, it was delicious!! 100% recommend if you are on the boardwalk! Best Gelato I have had:) They had very friendly staff, always a pleasure going here after the fireworks!🎆🎆

I have walked past this place so many times and I am so sad that tonight was the first time I have tried it! I could not believe how many options there were. The gelato was amazing and they had vegan and sugar free options?! And the sugar free was sweetened with stevia, which is almost impossible to find! The gelato was delicious. They also have a full espresso menu, which makes me want to come back. The interior was really nice but you can take your gelato or latte up on the boardwalk because it's right there. Glad to have a nice option right on the boardwalk. They have a ton of other stuff like smoothies and iced teas. Yummy! Can't wait to go back!

Shop was cute and ice cream was good, but the girl who got our ice cream clearly did not want to be there. She wasn’t very nice!
