Malama Cafe

The staff was very welcoming! The food was good. The blt has whole cherry tomatoes on it which makes it hard to eat then try to cut it with a fork. The cove was on point. I enjoyed the spicy mayo on it. The burrito was a good size, lots of meat in it and the acai bowel was enjoyed by 3 people. All agreeing that it was good. The place was super cute! The parking was the only annoying thing. Make sure to watch the meter.

The entire staff bring a joyous vibe to the atmosphere. I’ve started making this a routine stop on my way off the island after work. The vanilla rosemary latte on the winter menu (cold or iced) is 🤌🏼 delicious. I’ve also had a wrap from the specials board. Also, very tasty. Always clean and bright in here too!

Malama is our favorite coffee shop in Carolina Beach! We've visited several times over the last couple of years. Great tasting coffee. Not the burnt stuff you get other places. Breakfast options are great. Very filling burrito. Great place to grab coffee and then take a short walk to the boardwalk and beach.

Oh my gaaaawwwwd. I was blown away by this place. Delicious coffee, check. Good breakfast? No! AMAZING BREAKFAST, CHECK!
I highly recommend trying things off the seasonal menu, both food and drinks! I bought that waffle and it was sent straight from heaven. It was so amazing. I also got some sort of avocado toast for my mom. It came with spinach, a fresh egg and a balsamic drizzle. She said it was fantastic and I could tell because she ate it before I could even take a picture!
I also tried two seasonal lattes, Vanilla cardamom and French Toast. The French toast was phenomenal, out of this world, I want to drink that every day of my life. I'm going back for another. Or three. The vanilla cardamom was great too, more subtle and a more of the mature side of drinks. I have a sweet tooth though so that French toast hit the spot.
All this with a 2 person crew by the way! Insane props to the two ladies running that shop this morning. I know I couldn't do that. I have my hands full just cooking the breakfast where I work at, I couldn't imagine cooking, taking orders, and making coffee all at the same time. They deserve big tips!

Cute cafe in the heart of Carolina Beach. Visited twice during my brief stay. First visit was so good I had to go again. Iced dirty chai was spot on. Not too sweet. Breakfast burrito minus the chicken was the bomb. Simple ingredients but so much flavor! Also tried the toast with almond butter, banana, thin almond slices, and drizzled with honey. So good!
Cute space with super staff. Looking forward to visiting again when I'm back in the area.

The atmosphere was so cozy and the perfect place to get a summer beach smoothie bowl. We got the acai bowl and it was delicious but they can be a but pricey(10$). The service was also pretty fast and overall I would recommend checking it out.

Every where else was pack, but this place was great! Great tasting coffee, great customer service. Food was fresh and nice colors too! Will be back next year.

Came to Carolina Beach for a long weekend and had to stop here 3 different times for breakfast/coffee. I don’t think there’s a bad thing on the menu! And all of the staff are so friendly!

Everywhere else for breakfast was jam packed with lines out the door (ugh tourists) but we're very glad they were! The atmosphere as soon as you walk in is great. Chill music, lots of coffee sounds happening.

I got the Beach Nut toast, it was phenomenal, their coconut vanilla latte was out of this world good. Then I finished it off with their Rise and Shine Sandwich. So good. Everything was phenomenal.

Glad we got here when we did too cause it quickly had a long line.

DONT PASS THIS PLACE UP!

Ordered their Nutella bowl and two breakfast sandwiches. The staff was friendly, place was clean and well decorated. We loved all the food. It will be our new breakfast spot when we’re in town!

Hot Americano is served hot and with nice cream. No acidity at all. Service was good, space was comfortably appointed.

Great spot to grab a coffee before a beach or boardwalk stroll. I decided to bring my laptop and work, luckily I found a spot close to an outlet in the back of the shop. There isn’t a ton of indoor seating, and the seating they had was mostly stools with no backs. The food was great (veggie wrap pictured and the hummus was mind blowing) and I would recommend getting whatever is on their seasonal drink menu!

My favorite spot on Pleasure Island. The staff practiced excellent safety measures for my anaphylactic food allergies. The espresso was phenomenal; I went back for another double. My wife loved the Ocean Blue Spirulina bowl, smash avocado toast with edamame, sprouts, and tomato medley, and her pumpkin latte. I enjoyed The Cove breakfast sandwich. The arugula was a nice touch. Everyone was friendly. Great atmosphere. Great light. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for. I will be back with my family next time we’re in Pleasure Island.

I have been to this place multiple times now, the staff are always so extremely nice. They give great recommendations on their favorites, and are very accommodating to my allergy’s. I got the Nutella bowl and and iced coffee, and they were so so good!! The place is super cute as well. This place does get really busy but I still got my food quickly, and service was good!

My husband and I love Malama Cafe! The environment was very cute, seemed like a good place for breakfast, brunch, and a place to study. We spent our honeymoon in Carolina Beach and we went to Malama probably 3 times the week we were in town. We had a variety of food which were all good and seemed super healthy. My favorite was the coconut vanilla latte which was 10/10. I asked for it to be extra sweet b/c I have a sweet tooth and the flavoring was great. Would love to go back the next time we're in town!

Loved this place! My iced latte was delicious and my family tried a variety of the specialty toasts and everyone ate what they got. Highly recommend! There is almost always a line, I got there right after they opened and there were a lot of people in line after me. A clean, bright, trendy vibe. Perfect spot to visit on a beach vacation!

Want a healthy meal? This is the place to go! We were 4 and all agreed the food was delish!!! Place is very clean and service and atmosphere was great! Highly recommended!

Malama in Hawaii means “take care” and you certainly get that feel visiting this airy, bright cafe. Coffee, smoothies and a healthy breakfast and lunch menu. From the rise and shine croissant with its warm egg and bacon, cheese, fresh spinach on a toasted croissant. To the açaí bowls with fresh strawberry, milk, almond granola, coconut flakes, açaí and topped with blueberries, bananas and honey. One can relax and savor what is not only healthy for the body, but brings solace to the mind. The staff, LeeAnn, were very friendly and added to the tranquil feel of the place.

Wonderful quaint little coffee shop right off the beach. Stopped here this morning on vacation to have something similar to my usual at my home fave coffee shop. Was every bit as tasty as my usual order. They had some delicious sounding breakfast options I didnt have time to explore unfortunately

The breakfast toast was absolutely amazing. Super nice vibe and the drinks were pleasantly hot. Def a returning spot for sure.
