So thank to have found this place tonight! What a quaint, throwback amazing and true Italian diner. Don’t change a thing! Don’t even update the place, it feels like home! Warm, cozy and amazing food. Awesome wait staff!

Wow! What an amazing dinner!
We made a reservation (strongly recommended - as we sat for dinner they were turning people away left and right because the next available table was in like three hours) and had an amazing and smooth experience!

The bread with oil+vinegar+spices was amazing, as well as the salad - it was family style and very unique with beets and chickpeas. We had the cheese sticks as an appetizer and they were great (also a hit for my toddler), but honestly we really didn't need an appetizer because of the portions to come!

I had the salmon filet and added peach and pecan topping along with pasta and white sauce on the side, which was truly phenomenal. My husband got the seafood Alfredo. The others got lasagna and it was definitely enough to share, which they allowed and plated separately. Kid's ravioli was great and came with an ice cream treat for dessert.

In terms of service - our waiter was so kind and helpful with ordering. Our kids meal came out a little before our main meal so I could get her situated before my food came. Food came quickly and we were checked on frequently. The restaurant is small and cozy, good music playing, and great environment.

This might have just become our favorite dinner spot in Kure/Carolina Beach so far! Highly, highly recommend!!

My parents and I were able to secure the last reservation they had for Valentine’s Day. We are from out of town and were just looking for a place for dinner. Service was amazing; very knowledgeable about the menu. And most important, we did not feel rushed at all. Quite the opposite actually. I ordered the special drink of the night, strawberry shortcake martini and it was to die for. My dinner was chicken Parmesan; chicken was cooked perfectly. Portion was huge and I took 80% of my dinner home. Dessert was cheesecake topped with strawberries. Delicious! Atmosphere was amazing, food was great and staff were great. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an upscale restaurant.

I'm disappointed in myself because we've been coming to the Kure beach pier for years and never notice the restaurant because it's so small little tiny hole in the walls so today we were lucky got reservations you have to have reservations, and it was a big hit. We had the jambalaya, and my wife has it's an Italian name hard to say and spell but if they were both delicious, shrimp d a r r a c h i n o.

Very small intimate restaurant. Delicious Italian food and char grilled pork chops with various glazes on them available. House salad with Barb's dressing is delicious! Bread is fresh and served warm. Staff is wonderful. The tartufo for dessert will blow your mind!

Our server, Patrick, was wonderful. Our food was delicious. Yummy bread, salad, muscles, pasta, and pork chop. There was a little bit of a problem with our order but it was resolved to our satisfaction. We will probably go back next time we are in the area.

Absolutely delicious! This would be a perfect place for a romantic date. We had a family gathering this time, and it was good for that too. The food was timed perfectly, and each course was amazing! Calamari, yum! Salad, so fresh and light (loved the beets!). Steak cooked to perfection!

It was my first time coming to this restaurant. I had already heard so many good things about the food and excellent service from my nephew Darnell. From the moment we arrived, it our waitresses were very attentive. They gave us time to eat and enjoy each appetizer before they brought out the salad and then the main courses. The meatball appetizers, bruchetta, mozzarella sticks, and the homemade bread that you dipped in olive oil dip..... everything fresh, homemade, and delicious. Needless to say, I barely had room for my main course, which was Rum Runner Pork Chops with grilled peaches. Mmmmm. Im going home with leftovers, but Freddie's was the best restaurant and meal I have had in a very long time. Three thumbs up for our server Kelly

A hidden gem in Kure Beach. I can give my stamp of approval that the Italian food here is well done. I grew up in an Italian family, and this is one of the few restaurants that put fresh basil in the pasta. A sweet surprise for me! Delicious! The shrimp with alla vodka and angel hair pasta was amazing. Not over salted and the perfect consistency. My husband had the chicken cutlet parm. It was tasty. My son had the pork chop with baked potato, very moist. I had the kb sunset martini, and it was perfect as it was not too strong, and it looked swanky, too. Service was good and the atmosphere was very nice. Casual neat attire. Great date night or friends, special occasion dinner.

This place is a great hidden gem on the island. It is a small, cozy restaurant with red checkered table cloth and classic Italian and Italian American food. Complimentary salads and bread is brought to the table before your meal we well. I highly recommend a reservation since it is a small restaurant usually it is booked out through the evening.

Awesome restaurant! Cute and homey. We took another couple and all of the pasta dishes were excellent and plentiful. My husband had the pork chops which were dry and not well flavored, but he tried everyone else’s meal and wants to go back. I ordered the create your own pasta dish which let me have my favorite dish - linguini with spicy red clam sauce. We all had enough take home food for another meal. My martini was nicely chilled and a decent size. Can’t wait to go back!

The pork chop with the Peach/Pecan topping was fantastic. The service was top notch. The entire visit was stellar. Very well done.

The candle near the bar is a really cool piece of decoration - very unique!

I can’t say enough good things about Freddie’s! Our go to restaurant and never been disappointed.
Absolutely love the chicken parmigiana but the pasta with Alfredo sauce. Such a good flavor with the red sauce in the chicken and it helps the acidity in the red sauce.
Portions are huge and the bread is amazing!!

Such a nice place to enjoy a meal in Kure Beach! Reservations recommended because it's usually busy. Meal starts with warm bread and olive oil. Entrees come with a garden salad with tomatoes/beets/chickpeas. I have gotten the yummy lasagna twice here, and it's contains an awesome cheese blend. Nice dessert options and wine available too. Highly recommend!

Sooo Good! Better to make reservations in advance or you might not get to eat. I had Mushroom Ravioli in alfredo sauce and Hubby got Sechi and added marinara. Great food for great prices!

Ahhh, Freddie's! One of our favorite places for dinner in the area. The pork chops are amazing, and can you say huge?! Hubby had chops with apple walnut topping, and I had chops with Freddie's Special Sauce, which is a balsamic reduction. Both were excellent! We both had mashed potatoes, thick homemade delicious. Round it out with a hot fresh bread and a salad with a tasty vinaigrette dressing. Small place, with limited seating, so call ahead for reservations. You won't be disappointed.

I was so disappointed when I learned they no longer served the Bruschetta. this was the best appetizer they served. I still give them 5's as this is my favorite restaurant but I do wish they would reconsider bringing back the Bruschetta.

Highly recommend this cute little place! The food is outstanding. Weekends it's usually a pretty long wait (our waitress said some people were waiting 2.5 hours this past weekend!) but tonight we walked right in (Tuesday). The pork chops are amazing! I had the peaches & pecan pork chop and mashed potatoes and it was delicious. I am hard pressed to ever pass up an opportunity for pasta, but this was totally worth it. We had the stuffed portobella for an appetizer, split between 4 people, it was nice portion for a starter.

It's a wonderful restaurant tucked away in Kure Beach. You may feel like you are in Little Italy, but you are steps away from the Atlantic in Coastal NC. The menu is extensive, and the service is excellent. Known for their pork chops and house salad, we found them both to be worthy of the hype!
