What a fabulous brunch experience we had today! The food was delicious! I had the California omelet with homefries… which were the best I’ve had at a breakfast joint in a LONG time. The crust from the grill was just right and the potatoes were seasoned to perfection. The ingredients in the omelet were all fresh and balanced well with the egg mixture. My husband had the Big Breakfast and when asked what flavor for his pancake, he couldn’t decide. Our waitress was the best. She was all about making breakfast dreams come true and suggested that he have a Reese’s Oreo pancake since he couldn’t decide. It was a hit! She also recommended the rye toast- another home run recommendation. Delicious and perfectly toasted. We will definitely be stopping back at this pink breakfast palace the next time we are in town. Well done, Kate’s. We all had a great experience!

We ate here two days in a row on our mini Spring Break vacation to Carolina Beach. The service is super friendly and very quick. At no time were our drinks empty and our food came quick and delicious.
The Benedict selections are top notch and of course the pancakes were perfectly cooked.

I highly recommend this breakfast place if coming to Carolina Beach.

I called in my order for pick up. My order was repeated to me for accuracy. I asked if there was anything else that she would recommend. She told me about there in house made banana and pumpkin bread(photo).
When I arrived to pick up my order I was welcomed with a good morning and the sound of good music. Once I told them I was there to pick up my order it was promptly brought to me. In the short time I waited I received lots of smiles and are you being helped?
The tofu skillet was delicious…so much so that I forgot to take a photo 🤦🏽‍♀. We also had a hurricane omelette and pancakes ordered. All items were delicious and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere at the restaurant made we wish I could stay and dine in. But I will do that for my next staycation 🥰🤣

Our family decided to go here on a whim, and it was such a great choice. We were a party of 6, so it was a bit of a wait because it's a very small dining area. There was also a bit of a wait for food, but it wasn't too bad - and it was worth it. Very reasonable prices. I had the cream cheese stuffed French toast and added strawberries on top - SO delicious. My mom had the hurricane omelette with grits and pancakes and loved hers. I got the kids pick 3 and it was such a generous portion. The waffles and pancakes were so good, all the meats we had on the table were delicious, and the sides were top notch. The staff was so friendly. Would definitely recommend and hope we can get back next time! Wish I had taken pictures of the food but we were so hungry we accidentally ate it all 😝

This is the go to Breakfast spot in Carolina Beach! We got there at 7 am and there was no wait! Amazing Food and wonderful Service. Carrie was the best server! We kept ordering more and more. Highly recommend you check Kate's Pancake house.

Adorable place with some fantastic breakfast choices! I had the sweet potato pancakes and OMG were they goooodd!!! They had cinnamon chips in them and it was the perfect combination! They also offered them with walnuts and pecans I believe but I asked for without. Our waitress was ultra sweet and when she didn't know something she went and found out and was helpful and amazing to us! I would definitely return here next time I'm in the area!

Great service and great food. I had the hurricane omelette with cheesy grits and rye toast. Dad had the chicken fried steak. Filling and great price. Will be a place we return to when we visit the area.

Best run business in the area. Beyond efficient. Small breakfast house with delish home-cooked meals. Fresh and well prepared southern breakfast along with many new school options. Grits were among the best I've ever had. And I eat them several times a week. Friendliest and hardest working staff I've ever seen. The lines look long, but they MOVE EM IN AND OUT like clockwork. We wanted to try, but despite EVERYONE saying the wait would go fast. We didn't believe them. Until our hotel "neighbors" went and ate breakfast in the same time we took a morning stroll on the beach. I said, "with THAT LINE?" So we tried it and am so glad we did!

All while making you feel welcomed and not rushed. It was 100 degrees and they had a super efficient host, ice water, seating, tents and awning cover. People were seated and served so quickly it's unbelievable. You see the employees and even managers working like a well-oiled machine. Still taking time to chit chat. We overheard a young mom had parked in a no parking area. A manager came over to sit w her kids so they didn't have to stop eating and mom could move her car. So nice! I hope you all tip well, they deserve it.

The service was amazing the most sweetest people I’ve been served by in a long time. Everything was correct and amazingly delicious. Banana pancakes stuffed French toast Reese’s pancakes and chocolate pancakes all amazing!!! We will be back!

My son and I went to Kates this morning for breakfast. Breakfast can be hit or miss for my son, because he has autism, and if it doesnt taste a certain way, he will only eat bacon. My son tore up their cheese eggs and grits. I also ordered their fried green tomatoes, they were ao good❤ We will be returning.

All American Pancake House with delicious food. We waited 35 minutes, and it was well worth it. I had the egg white spanish omelet with grits and loved it. Those grits are one of the best I ever had in the South. Family had death by chocolate pancakes and enjoyed it tremendously. French toast with bacon, excellent. A great variety of breakfast items to choose from. Very friendly and efficient staff. The owner seats you. Our waitress was the best, too! Looking forward to our next visit!

We came here Spring Break season. It was busy and we couldn’t carry food out. But our experience was so good sitting down and eating. Our waitress was the sweet dang thing. Quick service even for a busy day and she was so helpful with giving us good vegetarian options. Love that even in this lazy beach town they were able to accommodate our vegetarian diet. Close to our hotel and good food. If we ever stay in CB again, will definitely be back (if even for our sweet little waitress alone).

Kate's pancake house is amazing. Good food, good service and good atmosphere. They give great portions and the waiters pay attention, are kind, and respectful. They keep smiles on their faces. We ate there 3 times during our vacation stay. I loved the Very Berry pancake, you don't even need syrup because of the whipped cream and fruits!

Let me tell you what a gem this place is in Wilmington. If you would like to taste the best pancakes in Wilmington, you should come here and enjoy the flavors. I had to order twice The Caribbean pleasure flavor because it was so tasty. This restaurant is Egg Benedict’ Master. Their Hollandaise sauce is unmatched and the way the eggs are perfectly cooked and pouched. I ordered the Steak Egg Benedict and it was so delicious. Expect to wait outside for at least 15 minutes because they always have a waiting line, but it’s for a good reason: the food is worth every penny and the service is top notch. The owner checks every table if they need anything.
It’s a must visit restaurant if you happen to visit Carolina Beach.

While we had to wait a little bit to be seated (party of 7), the hostess did well to keep us updated. My kids got the hot chocolates which were a great size, wonderfully presented, and delicious. I got the Irish Benedict, and my kids got the trios of little pancakes. The mini pancakes are what I would consider a large pancake! Everything was very tasty and presented very nicely. Service was prompt, especially for how busy it was. I would definitely recommend this place for vacationers!

Very busy, not surprising cause it was so good! Although busy we were seated quickly and received fast, friendly service. Awesome pancakes. Highly recommend the banana nut French toast as well.

Stopped here for breakfast on a weekend trip, and so glad I did! I ordered the big breakfast combo, which was superb. The pancakes and waffles were light and delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly alongside some fat sausage links. The service was incredibly friendly and prompt, considering they were packed with their Sunday crowd. The waitress was sure to refill coffee every time she passed the table. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I loved all the faith based decor. I will be coming back on my next trip!

We lucked out on a Sunday morning around 10 am and found a space in the parking lot of this popular breakfast restaurant. They've got their operation down! There was someone standing out by the door, ready to put your name on the wait list.

There are benches outside the colorful building, but we only ended up waiting 15-20 minutes.

Inside, service was fast and friendly. Easter decorations felt fun and festive. We tried thebig breakfast combo and liked the waffles more than the pancakes and french toast.

The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. Will definitely visit again!

Kate's is the best place for breakfast in Carolina Beach. Especially if you like specialty pancakes. The Boston cream are my favorite.
