Fun Time Ice Cream

This place is SOOOO good. It's our favorite spot to get chili. I think the owners elderly mother might make it from what I hear and it is absolutely the bomb! Haley helped me And she was such a ray of sunshine! I hope her boss knows what a delight she is and what a gift she is to our little island! She deserves a raise! Lol. Thank you Haley for being such an awesome employee!

Great food and ice cream plus a pup cup for the doggy is FREE!!👌🐾 Hubby loved the tater tots and chili dogs I got chili cheese fries and a cheeseburger forgot to take pics of the food tho...next time!!😂

Went here for lunch and ordered two hot dogs with chili and extra crispy tater tots. They were excellent. Nothing fancy but exactly what you would want. The hot dogs and chili had good flavor.

Hotdogs all the way with meaty chili and the Cole slaw is the kicker! Funnel cake was made hot n fresh. Soft serve flavors are perfect!

There were two young men working the other night. We showed up 30 minutes before close to a line down the side of the building. We waited maybe 10 minutes to order our food, I'm fairly certain it was shorter, and our items came out in 5 minutes. They had at least 50 orders in the time we sat and ate. And everything came out so quickly and professionally. These workers had their work rhythm down pat, but they weren't so engrossed that they couldn't get you napkins, straws, etc if you asked. A girl came up 2 minutes to close and they treated her just like ever other customer if seen so far, kindly and patiently. At closing time they let us know they were closing and wanted to know if anyone needed to order anything else before they officially closed up. It was all professional, kind, and worked like a well oiled machine. I was very very impressed at their work ethic and they way they executed their job. Ice cream was delicious and the perfect treat.

Fast and friendly service. Prices are good too. I got 2 hotdogs and fries and food was good too.

Great funnel cakes worth the wait (not to long) can not wait to go back and get some ice cream it looked delicious.... very reasonable prices and excellent service!

Very delicious ice cream, snow cones, and funnel cakes. Can't speak to the other options, but not opposed to going back one day to find out. I wish there were a bit more outdoor seating options, but still plenty of standing room to enjoy the sweets.

Walking distance from our beachhouse. Good quick place just around the corner. My husband loves the desserts he has a big sweet tooth.

Great place for ice cream, burger and more

This place has childhood memories for me, I like to visit there for ice cream to feel like that kid again. Staff is very friendly

This is the premier soft serve ice cream business on the island. My 3rd cone tonight and all three were so consistent. I had a vanilla/coffee twist and it was wonderful. When you are craving for soft serve in Carolina Beach this is the best!

This place is crazy and that's because their soft-serve is awesome! They make their own waffle cones and have custom flavors of soft serve. The staff was friendly, attentive, energetic, and efficient. Their hours say til 10, but we've seen them serving customers until nearly 11. If that's not dedication to customer service I don't know what is, but I bet you have to be in line at closing to get that service. We will definitely be back the next time we are in CB.

Their ice cream is really good. I’ve been trying to get in touch with them to see if they can do a catering event for me but I’m having a hard time getting in touch with them.

It's relatively expensive for burgers and fries, BUT burgers are legit good. Shakes are legit good and the soft serve ice cream is excellent! Flavors are actually very flavorful, had white chocolate macadamia today and it was one of the best soft serves I've had in a long time.

Update: Very good butter pecan soft serve today with chocolate sprinkles :-)

In the past I've experienced soft serve that was way too soft to have been served. But today and another time in the last couple months, it was good. Good variety of soft serve flavors.

I had Key Lime soft serve. Hubby had a hot dog and chocolate shake! Delicious food! Very friendly service. 😊

Awesome service, friendly staff and best of all great ice🍦🍨 cream and food, I highly recommend Fun Time Ice Cream! Anytime my family and I are in Carolina Beach my daughter's will not let us leave without stopping by to get their favorite ice cream from their favorite place at the beach. Keep up the great work crew/staff, management and ownership your hard work and dedication to serving your customers does not go unnoticed. From the very moment that our daughter's find out we are going back to Carolina/Kure beach and Fort Fisher my daughter's start asking one thing seriously. "Can we stop to and get ice cream and fries 🍟 at that place we always stop at"? They are small from ages ten, eight and six so they can't ever remember the name of it but they surely remember where it is and make sure to point it out screaming, "Dad there it is right there that's the place" lol. To me that speaks volumes, especially when we live approximately two hours away and there are several places along the route that sell ice cream and great food, some of those places we have also patronized but they always insist on Fun Time. My wife and I love it as well they have some of the best burgers,🍔 hotdogs🌭 and fries.🍟 You know those small little places always make the best 👌 burgers and fries in my opinion much better than the big chain establishments/restaurants. With all of that said next the time you are in Carolina or Kure beach and get the urge for some ice cream or a great burger make sure you stop by Fun Time, you will definitely have a fun time lol. They do have a two outdoor seats but that's for waiting on your food and they don't have any indoor seating it is a order and go type of place. My family and I highly recommend it if you can't already tell that by my mile long review lol sorry folks but when great service is rendered everytime you have patronized a place I feel a good review rather short or long is in order. Oh and one more thing our daughter's said to tell you all to get the rainbow 🌈 swirl with sprinkles and cool whip on top lol, my daughter's insisted that I throw that in there 🤣.

ALWAYS OUR 1ST MEAL ON VACATION
BEST CHILI CHEESE FRIES...not just in the area either. There reeeeeally good.
The chili is home made and the correct type of cheese is used and melts perfectly.
Staff is extremely nice and that says a lot for younger employees these days. The place was super busy and all the employees kept calm and worked as a team.
ONLY RECOMMENDATION
stop trying to fit 2 chili cheese fries, cheese burger and 4 ranches into one small bag. By the time we got back to our hotel, one ranch busted inside the bag, chili leaked and the whole bag ripped.

Excellent burgers and dogs. The funnel cakes were amazing. Overall better then some of the other burgers near it. Fries so so until you get them with chili and cheese then they are awesome
