Great place to purchase a bike or have a current one worked on. Knowledgeable sales staff. Service staff is great too, they never make you feel dumb when you thought you could do something yourself and have to bring it in to them to have it done right. If they’ve got the time they’ll let you watch and show you how to do it yourself too!

The service we received was amazing! The time and attention spent to ensure our ski boots were the right fit was spectacular. Would definitely recommend this store to others. The person was extremely knowledgable and personable. You felt like they really cared about you!

Excellent bike, ski, and sports equipment shop. Great selection of high quality products (for bikes, think Pivot, Santa Cruz, Trek, etc), super friendly and knowledgeable staff and great owners. I’ve bought skis and bikes here, and have taken my bike and skis here for repairs, and the quality of service is excellent. Most recently took my skis in for an issues with my bindings and they are repairing it under warranty. Very honest people, have had great experiences here all around.

They did a marvelous job fixing my old Trek mountain bike. It has never worked so well. The work was completed very rapidly.

Marc was fantastic! He helped me file a warranty claim for my busted ski boot and 2nd Ave Sports wasn’t even the shop I bought the boots from. So, he didn’t have to help but made it his mission to make sure I was taken care of. I really appreciate his commitment to customer happiness. I have also been helped by Ray and Erica, both of whom are equally professional, personable, and helpful.

We rented some mountain bikes for a few hours around Durango. Excellent service, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The quality of the bikes was first rate. Excellent ranges of bikes (everything you can think of) and snow gear. Love this shop, will be back.

Was staying at the Wyndham in downtown Durango, CO and wanted to ride a bike on the 10 mile River walk path. The front desk recommended 2nd Ave Sports. Easy 3 min walk from hotel. Nice store with very friendly staff. They had different bike options, tour, mountain and Ebikes for rent. I definitely recommend this shop and riding on the River walk. Plan on 2 to 3 hours to do the whole trail.

Rented a few MTBs and hit Horse Gulch area - highly recommend both this shop and the trails! Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, product selection is excellent.

I have had several great experiences with the bike techs at 2nd Ave Sports! I do not live in Durango but these guys are my go-to shop every time I pass through town. First time I came through, they were able to get me fixed up and back on the trails within an hour (most bike shops where I live have a multi-day to week long turnaround time for any scale of work). Another time I was having issues and called 2nd Ave for recommendations/insight even though I wasn't currently in the area. Matt helped me via phone and took the time to explain and make suggestions regarding all my concerns-- ultimately deciding I would bring my bike in next time I was in Durango. Matt was incredibly communicative and went above and beyond to get my bike ready for a Moab trip in one afternoon since I was only passing through again. Multiple minor adjustments had to be made and he was patient and thorough in addressing all my needs. The shop carries excellent products and the techs are really good at what they do! I appreciate the help, follow through, and great customer service; many thanks!

One of my absolute favorite stores! Amazing inventory and customer service. On my last visit to the 2nd Ave, I had some service done on my bike and purchased another bike. Special thanks to Asa Robbins for resolving my service needs and for selling me my new Pivot Shuttle. His knowledge of the bike was outstanding and the setup is perfect! I haven’t had to change a thing.

Just bought a new pair of Atomic Hawx ski boots for the upcoming season and I could not be more excited! I had the pleasure of working with both Mark and Erika, who are fantastic boot fitters. Their knowledge and experience helped me feel confident that I would be comfortable and safe flying around the mountains this winter.

The team members at second Ave were friendly, helpful and encouraging. The selection of bikes and all things biking were second to none. We had an absolute blast on our rental mountain bikes and will be back to rent again (and of course eventually buy).

Amazing service experience. Matt and Tim helped trim and bleed my Magura MT7 brakes and got me back out riding fast and affordably. Always super helpful team and they just want to help and do great work. Highly recommend!

I looked at a couple of used and new mountain bikes here. The staff took their time, had me test ride different bikes, and made sure I wound up with a bike that would fit me properly and went with my needs and riding style. They’ve maintained my old one previously too and the service department always did a great job at a reasonable price.

Rented a hardtail Trek Roscoe and rode Blackhawk Pass loop. Also bought a helpful map.

We spent 3 nights in Durango while passing through hot springs jumping during our vacation. We don’t bike much, but my husband said “let’s do something different and rent bikes and explore Durango”. I said YES. The staff was awesome. They were professional, fitted us with the correct size bike and off we went. We did most of our exploring on the wonderful River Trail. It’s relatively flat, safe, shaded at times, and allows exploring without traffic as it hugs the Amanis River. SO MUCH FUN. We ended with a beer and wings at a brewery along the way! Best experience on our trip. Highly recommend.

Another 5 star experience doing seasonal kids rentals. I really appreciate the awesome customer service and you can tell that the people who work there like their jobs. Great job guys!

I've been around this snow globe more than once.... You won't find a Master Boot Fitter like Marc anywhere else. He's got the Boot Fitters in Innsbrook, Dolomites and Laax beat by an avalanche! From the personal insight to expert opinion Marc has every other Fitter beat by a mile. He is so patient and persistent with his quality of work. If you want ski or snowboard boots that actually work then Marc is the Master for you. He ushers out Obi-Wan tier advice with every breath. Marc has cured my "boot problems" that I thought were just me problems. From weekend warriors to everyday riders he's your guy!!! Believe me if Mark can't figure it out or fix it he know someone who can! Thank you to the whole team at 2nd Ave!
