I’ve had my ginger kitty Hamish ever since he was two weeks old. From the first time I fed him with a bottle, I promised to take care of this sweet soft kitten. I was absolutely devastated when recent xrays showed his heart was bigger than it should be and an echocardiogram was recommended. After our consult with Dr Salmon, I’ll be sleeping well tonight for the first time in weeks. Hamish’s heart appears healthy and measures normal. What peace of mind!

Dr Salmon and her team were friendly, warmly welcoming, and professional. Instantly, they put both my sweet kitten and me at ease. I was so nervous, trying to prepare for the worst, but seeing how gentle they were with my soft kitty and discussing Dr Salmon’s findings in detail has me confident in Petcardia’s expertise and passion for helping animals. The team was meticulous in the work up and gentle and patient with both my cat and me. They even gave Hamish some treats for being such a good patient, which he gobbled up happily.

Dr Salmon at the Colorado Springs office is amazing! She has taken care of my chihuahua since she first diagnosed her with pulmonary hypertension 14 months ago as part of an emergency vet visit. She saved my sweet rescue when I had NO idea what pulmonary hypertension was before her diagnosis. Dr Salmon is sweet and personable with a great bedside manner. She explains things thoroughly and is always willing to answer questions without rushing you either. I do like their 1-hour appointment times too. It can take longer to get an appointment but once you're there, you don't feel rushed and they're focused just on you and your fur baby. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Salmon, Heather, and the Petcardia staff. They are all very helpful whether it be answering the phone to make an appt or answering questions from this worried momma to the actual appointment. Olivia has had 3 echocardograms following her diagnosis of heart murmur and from thr first appt on we have been treated with respect, kindness, patience, and given so much information. Dr. Salmon spends alot of time with you going over the initial diagnosis, potential treatment, trajectory of disease and calms your fears. They all understand your worries and hand you tissues when you cry and are very compassionate when waiting for results. I highly recommend this practice to anyone needing specialty services. Amazing staff and incredibly knowledgeable and caring. I went with my Doberman Maus for DCM prevention to get an echocardiogram. DRM Salmon and her team were outstanding.

I love this clinic! They truly care about my dog and are super gentle and patient with him. He’s only 4 lbs and extremely scared when we come to these appointments. They even welcome him by writing his name on the sign and that personal touch really made us feel special. Dr. Salmon is super sweet and has a calming voice and put my pup at ease. I love how she explains what’s going on so that I can understand. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a pet cardiologist!

Dr. Shannon was great, willingly and clearly sharing what the echocardiogram images was showing. Assistant Casey (?) was also wonderful, caring and gentle with my pup. Sad our Colorado Springs office is closing. Really have appreotje care we’ve received here.

The staff was very friendly and very responsive to emails regarding questions I had prior to our first appointment. My little dog was brought in almost immediately after we arrived. Dr. Salmon was very personable, professional and reassuring. She took her time to explain my pets heart issues, even used a diagram to make it easier to understand. I felt confident in her diagnosis.

Dr Salmon is absolutely wonderful, she really knows her stuff! She was very patient and gentle with my 15 year old Chihuahua and I absolutely appreciate the way she explained the condition my baby boy was in. What an amazing specialty center. The technician, Beth, who checked us in and gathered history was so sweet and nice. She walked me through what would happen with my cat Lucian and helped me bring him in and out of the hospital since I had my baby with me.
Dr. Salmon was fantastic! Thoroughly explained my cats disease and what we are looking at moving forward.

I was very pleased with the care my little Maltese received at Petcardia Veterinary Cardiology. The Doctor and assistants were very gentle and kind as she had an ultrasound. I received a diagnoises and comments from the Doctor shortly thereafter via e-mail, plus she is working with the Internal Medicine Doctor as well.

My Midnight was a feline patient here and Dr. Salmon and all the staff here have been so kind and caring. Dr. Salmon was very clear with me and my husband when she gave us the diagnosis, treatment plan, and prognosis. Later, when Midnight passed away, they sent us a hand written card and a record of a tree being planted in Pike-San Isabel National Park. It was so incredibly heartwarming, I don't have the right words to describe how this felt.

If I ever need a cardiologist for a feline again, we're going to this office, even though I live 30 minutes away. I recommend this clinic to everyone.

I truly don't know what to say. Nothing i can write would come close to doing them justice. They saved my boy. They gave me time with him that i am beyond grateful for, however long it will last.

Dr. Salmon and the entire staff at Petcardia are amazing! From the first call I made to schedule an appointment for my dog, to continuing care and medication adjustments - they have been incredible. They have been great at communicating with my dogs regular vet, and other specialists. Prescription refills have been a breeze, and they are happy to give advice over the phone once your animal is an established patient. They have definitely made the process of having an animal with heart disease so much easier to handle.
