Scott and Jill are very honest and hardworking people. I have been buying shoes from Scott for years. Scott is extremely knowledgeable and pays attention to detail. He makes sure each customer receives top notch service and quality product. Wether you are new to quality footwear or someone that has appreciated quality footwear for years, Scott will have something to suit your needs. I mostly buy Alden from him, but he carries a variety of different brands. I have moved nearly 10 hours away from Pittsburgh, but I still go to Scott to purchase my shoes. You can’t beat the kind of service, quality, and attention to detail that he provides!

I was in Pittsburgh on business and stumbled across this shop walking to my hotel. Upon entering the store I was greeted with a friendly smile and a welcoming conversation as if I was a returning customer that has been coming to the shop for years. The owners knowledge was astounding. It was truly evident that he loved what he was doing. He was welcoming and accommodating, he welcomed me to try on shoes just to see. I ended up buying a pair of On Running Cloud shoes & couldn’t be happier. If I am back in Pittsburgh I would not hesitate to return to this shop. Top notch all around!

My husband and I had a fantastic experience at Nettleton. My husband has an incredibly difficult time buying shoes, and with cheaper shoes, he was buying them frequently. I've been pushing him to get a higher quality shoe that, if well maintained and repaired when necessary, would last for many years. My husband is pretty frugal and was skeptical, but the idea of not having to buy and break in new shoes every 2 years finally got him into Nettleton, where Scott took over. Scott was incredibly patient. Knowing my husband was a newbie to this kind of shoe, Scott was very methodical in introducing my husband to lots of different styles and brands across multiple sizes. He was also great at educating my husband about how the shoes should fit and feel, how they may break in, and how to properly maintain them. He worked with my husband for two hours, and even stayed past closing time to take care of us. We just couldn't have gotten comparable expertise and service someplace else.

Wonderful shoe store. I was welcomed in, despite arriving at the advertised closing time, and was not rushed at all. I was in the market for a summer shoe that could bridge both casual and office wear. I was also not from the area but in town visiting friends. Scott asked me the right questions and helped me find a shoe that I hadn't even considered (and I had been looking for a while). Very reasonable prices for quality shoes. Great products and, more importantly, a great experience.

The highest quality of inventory you will find in the Pittsburgh area. Scott knows his craft well and will take every effort to ensure you are not only getting the product you want but also the perfect fit.

Stopped in for, of all things, running shoes. Definitely have a lot of business attire, but ended up with what we needed in the running department as well. Definitely going back to pick up some dress shoes as well, wish there were more shops like this around, reminded me of some small shops I had a chance of visiting in Europe.
