If you are looking for your special dress to get alterations done, Skye is your go-to person. My wedding dress had so much lace, glitter, beading and multiple layers to it, and she altered it with so much care. You can put your complete trust in Skye with taking care of your dress. I promise you it is in the best hands. Skye took wonderful care of my dress and was also extremely flexible when scheduling appointments. She makes you feel beautiful and feel comfortable in her store. All of the other ladies that work in her store are also extremely friendly and kind! They also had a beautiful variety of bridal dresses and accessories!

In addition to Skye’s expertise and professionalism, she was someone who provided me love and support personally. Exactly one week before my wedding, my mother had a stroke and brain bleed. Skye also did some minor alterations to my mother’s dress, and when I went to pick up my dress and her dress I broke down in tears right in Skye’s shop. Her and the other ladies in the shop hugged me and offered to let me come in another day to pick up the dresses. They took the time to listen to me and talked with me about what had happened to my mother. They provided me comfort and were so patient with me. They treated me with so much love and respect.

I am happy to share not only a picture of my beautiful dress Skye altered for me (which fit absolutely perfectly by the way!), but also a picture of my mother and I on my wedding day. My mother made an amazing recovery and was able to get a free pass out of rehab to attend my wedding! She was so happy to wear her dress that Skye altered for her! Also, thank you Skye for the shawl for my mother that matched her dress perfectly! It was so hard to find one that matched!
Before my mother’s stroke, she had so much fun going to Skye’s shop with me to try on our dresses together! After a middling experience with the salon where I purchased my wedding gown, I brought the situation to Skye for alterations: I'm a curvy gal, and the gown I had in-hand was somehow both much too large and didn't have nearly enough room for my chest. Skye is a kind, frank, no-nonsense artist with the perfectionism and diligence you want in this kind of complicated project. She wrestled and wrangled the dress into shape, worked around my tight schedule, and all in the midst of moving her shop to a new location. I wish I could give 6 stars. Meeting Skye was the biggest blessing throughout my wedding planning process. We met her back in her Sewickley store where my mom found her Mother of the Bride dress. She didn’t have it in store at the time but went out of her way to find a previous owner’s dress for my mom to try on, because when my mom knows what she wants she knows….
On my moms last alteration’s appointment, which was 2 weeks prior to the wedding, Skye was asking about all the final details and I broke down crying about my current wedding dress I had gotten elsewhere. She immediately told me to try on a dress that had just came into the store and I was thinking she was crazy, I mean I was getting married in TWO WEEKS!!! She was adamant on telling me that you have to love and feel comfortable in your dress and that she was going to help me find that. I put that dress on and just KNEW it was meant for me, I fell in love and never wanted to take it off, it made me feel like a princess and in that moment I’ll never forget the feelings that came over me, the feelings a bride is suppose to have when she finds the dress of her dreams and Skye ordered it that day, came in within 2 days and ended up fitting perfectly. Skye goes above and beyond for you to make sure you feel like the most beautiful bride on your one and only wedding day! I could not be more thankful and more obsessed with my dress.

Skye is the BEST. She helped me through every step of purchasing my dream wedding dress. She let me come in to try on a single dress, and then borrowed it in my exact size and the color I wanted from another bridal salon just so I could envision it better. She went above and beyond, and I am so happy with how my dress turned out. Also, everyone who works here is FUN and will make sure you have a glass of champagne and a good time while you try on dresses.

House of Couture Designs staff is incredible. They were so flexible and accommodating. They have a beautiful selection of event dresses as well! While I didn't get my wedding dress at House of Couture, Skye altered my dress to perfection. I lost a lot of weight over the last year and was still losing when alterations began, Skye was so patient and made sure that every inch of that dress was to my liking and fit perfectly. Service is just above and beyond. For any event dress or alteration, this woman-led business will not disappoint.

I loved working with Skye. Take her advice! I am very indecisive and she helped me find the perfect dress all while offering her advice and being very patient. I am very curvy and she had the dress fitting me like a glove with her amazing alterations. She also helped me with a dress for the rehearsal dinner.

Thanks so much to Skye and all the women at House of Couture for helping me find the perfect dress! I had found this dress online and went to multiple stores looking for it or something similar. I had never noticed House of Couture even though I was frequently at McCandless Crossing. I ended up stopping in and to my surprise, I found the dress! I am very indecisive and when I initially tried it on, was a little unsure and continued to try on dresses. Left the store and went back a few weeks later with my sister. I found a gorgeous green dress and ended up ordering because I knew I was running out of time. Meanwhile, I had been sharing pictures of multiple dresses I had tried on, many preferred the green dress but I just couldn’t get the original dress out of my mind. With some coaxing from my friends, I went back and ordered my dress! Skye and her team were wonderful. When the dress came in and I put in on, I felt like this was it. A few minor alterations by Skye and I was once again in love with the dress! I received so many compliments and just wanted to thank Skye and her team for their patience with a very indecisive mother of the bride! I highly recommend House of Couture to anyone looking for formal wear!

Oh my gosh! I cannot say enough about Syke and House of Couture. The moment we walked in, we felt comfortable. You book a private appointment which I loved so I had the whole place to myself with the help of my mom and maid of honor. The shop is filled with beautiful dresses and accessories. Skye was welcoming, friendly and not pushy at all. She truly wants you to find your perfect dress. She also does the alterations which is awesome! I recommend this place to everyone! 10/10

I had shopped for mother of the groom dresses for months in Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati and finally in Pittsburgh at HOC and by far Hose of Couture had the best selection, best service and best quality of dresses anywhere. Skye is absolutely amazing. I had bought my dress before I had the chance to go look at dresses in her store, but I had heard so many amazing things about her that I knew I had to have her do my alterations. When I went to see her, we immediately became friends. She makes you feel so comfortable and gives your honest opinions and advice. She helped me match accessories with my look including a head piece that I had seen previously that I started to describe and she knew exactly what I was talking about and pulled for me to try. She also reconstructed my mother's veil for me to wear for my wedding! The shop is so beautiful, you want everything in there! I even ended up trying on and buying a second dress (that Skye designed herself!) I honestly did not think that alterations would have such an impact on the month leading up to my wedding, but Skye was there every step of the way, I couldn't wait for each appointment to go see her. She is THE BEST in the biz!

I went there for a mother of the bride (step-mom) dress & was in awe of their selection of dresses! From the moment I walked into House of Couture Designs, until my last fitting, my experience was outstanding. I had previously visited more than 6 other bridal shops & unfortunately none of them had any styles that I liked, I almost gave up. I tried one last place, House of Couture Designs, so happy I did!!!
As soon as I stepped into House of Couture & looked around, I knew the experience would be different as well as the dresses they were selling. Although I did not have an appointment, stylist Alex warmly greeted me. Let me tell you..their selection of dresses is absolutely stunning! Skye, the owner picks out her inventory and boy does she have an eye for fashion! One dress was prettier than the next. After having visited so many other bridal shops, Alex was by far the best consultant. She was thoughtful and sincere in her feedback on the dresses that I tried on & not pushy at all. Some dresses I liked, but she kindly pointed out things that I didn’t think of and steered me in the right direction to find the perfect dress.
The owner Skye completed my alterations & did a fabulous job. She graciously worked with my tight time frame. I can’t thank both Alex and Skye enough for their help in finding me an absolutely gorgeous Step-Mom of the bride dress. Thank you both!

Skye was incredible to work with!! I was not sure what type of dress I wanted but had an idea of what I didn’t want. We tried on a few options so she could get to know my style and she suggested the perfect dress! She was so easy going and also made sure to remind me to get my dress cleaned between my wedding and reception (COVID bride here.) On top of everything, she has the cutest shop. 10/10! ♥
