We love this place every time we visit. The owners are so attentive and make you feel like their guests. The food is delicious but I really appreciate their appetizer boards that take at least 20 minutes to prepare but are absolutely amazing visually and sets the mood for the experience.

We love this boutique restaurant! We have never had a bad meal here nor bad service. Paul and Nancy work very hard to cook and please all of their guests. Jay is also an excellent, attentive server. Tonight we enjoyed the risotto balls, the crabmeat ravioli, the swordfish with a lemon caper sauce, the pork chop Milanese and salsiccia-spicy sausage pasta. For dessert we enjoyed tiramisu and panna cotta. It was our date night and we enjoyed ourselves and other restaurant guests with friendly chatter. This place is a hidden gem with excellent cuisine, a friendly atmosphere inside, and outside during Summer.

Delicious, as always!! Wish we lived closer so we could eat here more often!! Best authentic homemade Italian food. Priced very well considering the quality and being homemade. Paul and Nancy (the owners) came out multiple times throughout our meal to check on us. I can't wait to come back!
Homemade bread and oil! The margarita pizza was amazing. Homemade Ceasar salad! You can tell they use the freshest tomatoes for their sauces and dishes. I wish we saved room for dessert!

I was pleasantly surprised by Nancettas Ristorante. The owner greeted my luncheon companion and I, suggested an excellent Chianti to have with my meal, as well as prepared entrees. I was most happy with my Ceasar Salad because whole anchovies were used and not a paste! Something you don't always find anymore. My entree was the Seared Tuna which was a bit more cooked than I liked (prefer it mostly raw) however, that did not take away from the experience. I look forward to dining in this quaint little Italian ristorante again!

Server was AMAZING. She did the best she could in the situation. Food was good but the kitchen really needs to have a better understanding of time management.

As a Individual who has worked in the food industry for over 9 years now i have been to many restaurants and markets. I will say that the food served here is nothing like any other place in Pittsburgh. It truly is made with great passion. We started with Artichoke hearts with crispy Pancetta.... literally to die for mouth watering taste. My Veal Parmesan literally melted in my mouth. The presentation was immaculate. My fiances Alfredo was amazing the noodles are home made. We finished our meal with a Lemon tart that made me feel like i was eating something off the Foodnetwork. Would reccomend this place to absolutely anyone. The menu is very extensive and has anything your mind could imagine. (By the way i didnt need to use thd knife to cut the veal)

Wow. It is a complete surprise to us that this five-star Italian restaurant is tucked away in the one of the nooks and crannies of Pittsburgh. Nancetta’s Ristorante is a small, locally-owned restaurant that delivers the best of the best dishes in the form of spreads, appetizers, salads, soups, entrees, deserts and speciality drinks, all of which are freshly made within the realm of Italian cuisine. Our bartender and waiter, Jay, provided impeccable attention to our table. Jay genuinely provided above-and-beyond service to us that is professional, thoughtful, courteous, accommodating, caring, kind, considerate, respectful, attentive and passionate with sprinkles of delightful humor. The owners, husband and wife, equally provided such service to our table and seemingly to all other tables in the restaurant. This restaurant is indeed a rare, precious gem conveniently located close to the exit of Route 28. For those looking for a top notch, small, local restaurant that serves up freshly made, homemade Italian cuisine, this is it. The wait is long because the food is freshly made and not just sitting around, it’s all made from scratch and is absolutely delicious, I HATE premade noodles now and I need their freshly made pasta. Literally the best chicken Alfredo I’ve ever had in my life!

I absolutely loved this restaurant. My dad and I came in after a long day and was greeted by the owner at the door. The service was fantastic and had great hospitality. The food was delicious. Everything is homemade and you can really tell the difference. Highly recommended for a fantastic Italian dining experience.

No doubt this place is 5/5 stars. Great, tasty, and authentic Italian food. It’s a scratch kitchen, and the chef came out and spoke to us for a bit. It’s a family owned spot and they’re so sweet, and the service was phenomenal. It’s not a very big dining area, but that allows it to be very quaint and romantic. great date spot.

We were not impressed with the appetizer, and like other reviewers, got restless as we waited for the main course. However once it arrived, the food was outstanding and well worth the wait. I took the advice of our very knowledgeable server and am glad that I did. She was spot on with her recommendation!

The class and taste of Italy encumbered by the delicate palette accompaniments of an age old heritage worth mentioning. Viva Italia!

This was a last minute decision to try this smaller tucked away resturant that we always pass on our way to the Yatch club. We ordered the duck and it was very good! We are looking forward to trying the other items on the menu. We are excited to come back again and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere and relax over a nice glass of wine!

Food was excellent,service was to be expected for a made to order small restaurant,as most places staffing is an issue but it did not interfere much,maybe took longer than normal but went with a group of 4 and we all left very satisfied with the experience.yes it does take long,this is normal in my experience for any restaurant that makes meals on an individual basis. Yes it is expensive,but no more than any other fine dining place I've been to,in fact prices here are on the lower end compared to some. We will go back.

This place is a hidden away gem. You might pass by it and not even give a second. glance, which is too bad. This restaurant serves some of the best and authentic Italian food in Pittsburgh. Totally hand and home made! Not fast food but good food. If you are in a hurry, eat somewhere else because you will not appreciate what it takes to make this kind of food. The flour is imported and made into the most delicious pasta that you will ever had. Forget about the box pasta. The gnocchi made with potatoes and ricotta cheese did melt in your mouth as the owners said. My cousin Val said that they should be called little soft pillows of love. For dessert, the tiramisu was a dream. So light and airy with just the right kick of alcohol to add interest. We will return eagerly. They also have a lovely outdoor dining terrace. I was impressed!

My family loves the place. Food is good and made to order, Home made pasta, the appetizers' second to none and hearty, wine list is very good, service is great, place is cozy, but the deserts, holy molly, that's great, the Panna Cota is to die for. The food takes time, because as I said before is made to order. Everything from the bread and up. Best Italian restaurant in town.

If your ever trying to get away from the crazy fast pase of every day life. This is your place to go! The owners are beautiful people. The food is all home made all from scratch. Each meal is individually prepared and cooked with love! All the meals we have had there have been fabulous! Worth waiting for! Some of the dishes are quite unique! The hardest part of waiting for your meal is to watch and smelling all the fabulous dinners going by your table! I feel today we have forgot how to sit back relax and enjoy a wonderful meal!

Fans of Girasole, in Shadyside Pittsburgh, are in for a real treat! The food here is so fresh and so delicious! The waiter was very friendly and helpful when making decisions about what to eat. I went here with three other people and everyone’s food was great. The homemade pasta is fantastic and the ravioli and chicken parm were great as well. The margherita pizza was another highlight of the evening! We will definitely be going back sometime soon!
