88 Dental - Larry E. Manalo, DMD

I have been seeing Dr. Manalo for ten years. I now live 35 minutes away in Squirrel Hill but make the drive because he has consistently proven to be an effective dentist and a good human. I have never felt pressured into additional work and his staff has been very professional.

Caring and compassionate staff. Dr. Manalo is a great dentist who cares about your dental needs. Clean and inviting office.

I have been going to Dr. Manalo’s office for many years. I’ve always been treated professionally and with the upmost attention whether it’s simply my six month cleaning and checkup or as of my most recent issue dealing with a broken tooth and ultimately needed a cap.
I always appreciate the reminder’s regarding my upcoming appointments as well. Never disappointed with the caring of Dr. Manalo and his staff.

The staff is always very friendly and they create an inviting atmosphere. I never felt a bit of pain or discomfort any of the multiple times I was here. I previously hated going to the dentist until I came to Manalo smiles. I definitely recommend for anyone to go there for any kind of dental work!

This is a great dentist office. I was a new patient and they couldnt get me in until sept 10th but they called back and got me in today aug 6th. They were very caring and compassionate. Did a very thorough cleaning and exam. Highly recommend

I've seen Dr. Casto at this location since 2017 and am very happy with her work. Incredible attention to detail and desire to achieve a successful patient outcome, but also works quickly and efficiently. Dr. C. and Dr. Manalo collaborate very effectively, and the two offices have become much better at managing a shared calendar. Email and phone reminders of appointments are helpful, and requests for urgent care seem to be taken seriously and accommodated as possible. The office itself is...cozy. It's a weird interior with a super high open ceiling, and the decor is kinda meh (lots of Disney cartoons and headshots of dental models with really, really white teeth), but the treatment rooms themselves are clean and well-lit. Dr. Casto and her assistant have a good rapport, and I think the conversation would be excellent if I could fully participate lol. Ample parking.

Everybody here has been welcoming and kind. The dentists are so knowledgeable, and I did not even feel any pain at all!!!!! The front office staff if extremely helpful as well.

Professional and Friendly staff. Exceptional experience

Waited months for an appointment as a new patient .They called and left a message that they needed to cancel . Completely understandable at this point , but the person I talked to on the phone was rude and dismissive. After I said ok go ahead and cancel the appointment, instead of asking me if I wanted to reschedule, she just hang up . I understand that she might have been busy , etc but this is the second time I felt like if I was asking for charity . The first time I called to schedule an appointment for me and my kids as new patients, it was like pulling teeth no pun intended! Please train your staff to be more mindful and professional.

I went here and they told me I needed a bunch of work done on both sides of my mouth and that they would do the right side first then I could come back for the rest. I accepted work on the right side of my mouth but then looked up the reviews and saw someone mentioned they do extraneous work to make money. I don't see that review here now. I changed to a different dentist and they said I do not need anything done as far as they can see. Now I have had the time and discomfort of fillings, my insurance has paid for fillings, and I will need to pay to replace them in the future even if they do not cause any other problems, which they might. I asked 88 dental to send my records to the new dentist and they said they did but they have not.

My new dentist can see the fillings on the right side of my mouth, I do not know if you are considering that preventative services
I did not know that they were unnecessary at that time so it would have been impossible to bring that to your attention then

These are horrible, horrible people. Their first and only interest is getting whatever money they can from you. They don't care about you, and their dental work is shoddy and unacceptable. If you really care about your teeth, you will be very sorry to put your care in their hands.

Their work on my teeth was so shoddy, I had to see another dentist to correct the damage they did.

Called July 5th to set up an appointment, couldn't get me in until the 30th, gave them all my information. Today I just called to double check what time I had to be there and they tell me they canceled my appointment and that "they tried to contact me", using an email and phone number that are not mine. And thought that rescheduling me for August 24th would fix the issue. This is exactly why I dislike like doctors. Now I have to go another month with the worst tooth pain I've had in years. Thank you for absolutely nothing.
