BEER 88 beer distributor

I’m from out of town but stop by every time I’m near here. Although PA has bizarre alcohol regulations, it results in a lovely buying experience such as Beer 88.
I usually prefer a quiet, DIY shopping experience but Paul has such great suggestions and insights about the beer he carries that it’s worth it!

This is the best experience I’ve had at a beer store. The owner was super nice, I asked if they had a specific, pretty rare beer and he called his distributor to special order it in for me. They didn’t have it, so he walked me through countless different beers he thought I’d like. I was being kind of a pain as I couldn’t choose what I wanted, and he was very patient. He has tons of beers I’ve never seen before, probably the best variety i’ve seen. He was nice, attentive, and in between helping me he was very nice to the other customers that came in and helped them quickly.

I ended up getting 2 different 6-packs of specialty beer for $20. Incredible pricing. At my (ex) go-to store it would’ve been closer to $35 or more. Also, he doesn’t try to upsell at all, he just wanted me to leave happy with the right beer for me.

Definitely check this place out, you can tell he really does care about his customers and is a total people pleaser. If you think he might not have the beer you usually get, or you think he will be more expensive, you’re wrong.

I was just there yesterday for the first time and was blown away by the variety Paul had there. Paul was super friendly and knowledgeable about all of his products. I told him what type of drinks I like and he guided me around the store and made wonderful suggestions. It's a 20 minute drive for me to get there however, I will be a returning customer for all my beer purchases. Thanks Paul!

I visited on New Year’s Eve just one a week ago and had the best experience I’ve had at any beer distributor in the area! I called prior to showing up because it was so close to closing and the gentleman on the phone said it was alright. I got there 4 minutes before close and he was so nice. I told him what I was looking for and he led me right to where it was. I grabbed it and when I checked out he told me I was his last customer of the year and that they would be closed until the 9th because of a family trip. On my way out he handed me a free 24oz Angry Orchard and said Happy New Year. Needless to say I will be back and I will be buying all my beer from there from now on.

Paul is the kindest person I've dealt with in a retail location. Prices are fair and he will sacrifice money to make sure you are OK.
I will go no where else. Best beer or liquor retailer I've ever been to.

Gary is the GOAT!!!! Love this place they are amazing. Friendly and will order any beer or beverage you would like if you ask. Great selection and very helpful. These guys are awesome and everyone should be going here!!!

Amazing selection! They had the extremely rare Alchemist Heady Topper. Plus beer from The Veil, Other Half, Dancing Gnome, and other amazing craft breweries.

Paul was very helpful, personable, and polite. I appreciated his knowledge about locally made beer and local breweries. He was very thorough and thoughtful with helping me find what I was looking for. I will definitely be a returning customer. Thanks again!

This is my go to beer distributor. Great selection and always friendly staff. I’ve been into trying different beers lately and every time I come in and ask for suggestions they pick a winner. 10/10 highly recommend this place!

In Pittsburgh for a hockey tournament. Seeking some beer for hotel game night. Found Beer 88 near the rink. Absolutely amazing selection. Beers from everywhere. The owner/manager was helpful and kind. One more reason this Ol’ Buckeye loves visiting PA.

Paul took the info i gave him and showed me all matchs and "you might like"s. This place even allows you to mix and match cases without a credit card fee. Also willing to find beer that is hard to find for his customers. Large selection of local and imported beers, both room temperature and cold. Great experience here.

Highly recommend this shop! Super friendly and knowledgeable owners. Always happy to give suggestions if you are looking to try something new. Beer is always fresh as they keep a good handle on their inventory. They were even happy to order a particular type of beer I was looking for and they had it in stock next time I stopped by. The gentlemen even remembered me when I walked in and happily exclaimed that they had the beer I was looking for last time. Very personable and makes me feel like I am valued as a customer. One of the best experiences I’ve had this far when it comes to beer distributors. There’s a specific type of beer that I was searching for and through a Google search I called six different beer distributors within 5 to 10 mile radius of me. Beer 88 went out of their way and placed an order for the specific beer that I was interested in call directly after placing the order to confirm that the order would be in on Thursday for pick up I was so pleased and very excited. Today I received a phone call from Beer 88 just to confirm that the beer was delivered and it’s ready for pick up whenever it’s convenient. I could not believe the kindness, attentiveness and customer service!! After this phenomenal experience I can now say I will only shop here for all my beer need moving forward I highly recommend checking it out!!

Excellent selection. Fair pricing. Knowledgeable staff. I ask for recommendations from the gentleman that works there, and every time he has recommended to me a new beer that I actually like. I'm really picky with beer, so that is saying a lot. Thanks guys, glad you're in my neighborhood.

Don't drink beer much, but the owner was very friendly and even took his time to recommend a few local things that we would like. Highly unexpected amazing customer service from an unlikely place! Everything was also very well organized and he didn't skip a beat in looking for something for you if you can't find it. Best beer dist. in town!
