The restaurant was very busy. Our server Erin was terrific. The food was excellent. Everything including the desserts are made in house.

We went here before the Donnie Iris concert yesterday, Saturday at 4 pm. They were not busy yet. I was greeted by name by the hostess and our server Nikki (sorry if I’m not spelling this correctly) was a true delight. She was sweet and attentive. We had a few picky eaters in our party of 6 and Nikki took the time to help them find something acceptable on the menu. She also sent the owner over to check in with us since it was our first time in. He was a delight. We talked food and business and found out the he gives his staff benefits and profit sharing. The food was great. We had greens and beans and the crab-stuffed artichokes for apps and filets, lobster, pork chops, fish, and corned beef (St. Paddy’s day special) for our entrees. Everyone was happy even the picky eaters. We had desserts too. They were yummy. We were stuffed and happy when we finally left after 6 pm. The dinner crowd was coming in and the place was filling up which we were happy to see. We will be back.

Stopped in for an early dinner and drinks and sat at the bar. Bar tender was friendly and great with recommendations as I wanted to try new, out of my normal options, everything she recommended was great and the drink specials were fun/seasonal! The food was great! I had crab cakes the husband had some sort of pasta with scallops and it was so good! It was a bit pricey but exactly what we were expecting to pay for what we got, definitely worth it!

We were there for my sister’s 30th birthday party and the service was excellent! we brought a cake to celebrate and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. Food and drinks came out quickly and both were delicious! 10/10 recommend

We had our company dinner and the whole staff really took care of us. From Joe the owner to Jerry the server and Jimmy the chef, everyone did a phenomenal job. The food and drinks were also outstanding. We had fillet, duck, lamb chops, pasta, meatballs, and stuffed banana peppers. It was all top notch! If you’re looking for a locally owned versus corp chain restaurant with a great menu, reasonable prices, and excellently prepared food, 424 Walnut is your place!!!

I’ve been here three times now and I still love this place. The waiter we had was wonderful he did an awesome job.

We absolutely love 424 Walnut the food is always delicious, the atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. I can’t say enough about the staff , they are friendly, welcoming, attentive and consistent. Erin , Janell and Lauren are the BEST!!

Called 10 minutes before to check if we could get a reservation before concert. We got a bar spot. Food and employees were great! Started with stuffed peppers which I would highly recommend.

Great service and food! Will definitely be back! We enjoyed a large side salad (shared), chicken penne entree, crab cake entree (gluten free), oreo/reeses cheesecake and dark chocolate creme Brule' (gluten free) (desserts pictured).

I organized a large group for dinner (just over 20 folks). Our waitress was absolutely wonderful and did an amazing job of taking care of us. I was also impressed at how the kitchen was able to handle our orders, prepare them, and deliver our food quickly and at the same time.

Our food was very good and we all enjoyed the atmosphere. Several members of the party commented about how much they enjoyed the food.

Upon reading the last review I felt compelled to review the same dish I had the same night.

The halibut was outstanding! This dish was perhaps the best piece of fresh fish I have had outside of my wedding Positano Italy. A simple beautiful dish where the fish and crab were allowed to stand out. It was accompanied by fresh olive oil, lemon and simple seasoning. The fish and crab shined and the perfectly cooked fish highlighted its superior quality and freshness.

I understand not every meal is amazing for every dinner. Perhaps the last reviewer had a bad meal but I must say mine was amazing and my experience over the past two years with this restaurant differ completely from the previous reviewer.

I had crab cakes that were fantastic. All the other meals at our table seemed to be enjoyed and the desserts were inhaled faster than Id known they'd arrived.
Good wine and cocktail selections.

My organization has taken a number of small groups (around 20 people) to 424 Walnut over the past year or so. It has been consistently exceptional. Excellent food, generous portions, warm atmosphere, and a kind and courteous staff from planning to execution. Highly recommended!

Very good! Also looking to visit the sister restaurant mumbo italian around the corner.

The place had a classy atmosphere. The penne pasta in garlic & olive oil with chicken was delicious. Our waitress was attentive to our needs and friendly.

Yum! Our server was friendly and checked on us often. Owner/manager? Came over & spoke with us too. Food was great, beautiful presentation, and really nice portions.

Fantastic staff, solidly great food. They are sensitive to dietary restrictions. Nice wine list. Not expensive. Locals (such as myself) are there often. I have also been to a few events that they have catered - - - they do fantastic apps; can arrange for staffing. I can't say enough about 424. If t have not tried it... Do!

Really good place for dinner. Had the crab cakes and they were awesome, no filler and very tasty. Served with a mustard based sauce that was a great complement to the crab, but I would have been happier if they included a bit more of the sauce. Had the crème brule for dessert and it was the best that I've ever had, homemade and just delicious.

We love the crab cakes here and anytime there is a chef special for dinner. The French Onion soup is my go to on chilly days for a quick lunch.The interior has been remodeled and it is so modern yet comfortable, a wonderful mix. This restaurant has been a life saver too in the community for offering pick up orders. Joe and his staff are committed, hardworking individuals. We look forward to many more meals with 424.

Great restaurant! We stopped in for dinner and it's the best dinner we had at a restaurant in years. The service was exceptional and the food was excellent. Nice atmosphere too. If you want great food and a nice hut casual setting, go here and you'll be happy.
