Biddle's Escape

This is a funky, sweet coffee house with some excellent comfort food on the menu like grilled cheese and super tasty breakfast burritos. I had the drip coffee and my guest had a decaf mocha - all good. You can bring your own cup which I would do for cappuccino. Otherwise, all coffee drinks are served in tall paper cups. They have alternatives to dairy for coffee drinks. It's a relaxing place to be. A sign advertises various food trucks that serve on Wednesdays but we visited on a Friday.

Visited twice late October 2023 during my fall trip to Pittbsburgh and visiting this shop was one of my favorite moments. This quintessenial local coffee local cofee shop located in a beatiful neighborhood where you can enjoy the fall foliage and delicioius chai latte.

This coffee shop had all of the core requirements desired of a cozy coffee shop vibes and more.
Atmosphere: unique, spacious but cozy, a very cool patio space, cool randmo things for sale aside from the food, bakery items, and limited food options.

Drinks: Both times I ordered a chai latte with oat milk and cinnamon. Delicious and perfectly sweet. For lattes, they had SO many syrup options including a few madfe in house as well as some sugar free option. They also have all the common main milk alternatives.

Baked goods: I ordered the brownie and it was good as well! A nice size two that can be split or saved for later.

Seems to be popular spot in the neighborhood too but it never felt "crowded". The staff and baristas aref reidnly- I'd def. recommend a visit if you're in the area!

This must be the cutest cafe I have been to. The latte was just okay but the atmosphere and the service make it a 5. The decor is eclectic and the baristas are the nicest ever.

Good place to get a coffee and food. The atmosphere is great if you are looking for a place to chat with friends.
You will be surrounding by music, talking etc. (it is not a quiet place)

A local coffee shop in my neighborhood. Coffee and tea drinks are consistently good, and they’re always offering seasonal specials. They also offer homemade syrups and flavors. Some food is available as well and the grilled cheese are 10/10. It can get quite busy especially on weekends so be ready to be patient.

Really loved the vibes of this place! The amount of shaded outdoor seating is incredible on a nice day as well. They have a lot of knick knacks being sold at the front as well so I got a very pretty bowl for $2

Huge variety on offer, staff is well versed on preparation of many coffee/tea-based items. Great atmosphere, great outdoor seating (with cover for rainy days!).

The shop also promotes local business, local art, and advocacy for social change. Well worth it, whether you live nearby or outside the East Pitt region.

This place is busy on Sunday mornings (I usually get there around 10ish), so be prepared to stand in a lengthy line. BUT! The service is pretty quick, and even though it’s busy, you can still usually find a spot to sit. I get the Spiced Vienna and it’s always consistently spiced and delish 😊

Fantastic little coffee/tea shop tucked away in the Pittsburgh suburbs. Baristas are friendly & helpful. The hot coffee I had was fantastic. The cold drinks I saw that others purchased looked like they would be tasty. Cannot wait to go back and try something else.

Great spot to grab a coffee and work or have a date. They have free WiFi and plenty of seating. Decaf options and a unique vibe. I recommend the grapefruit french soda.

They do great things for the community including a food pantry on the side of the building and a weekly food truck. Worth checking out at least once.

Bathrooms are all gender. Very LGBTQ+ safe space.

My favorite cafe in all of Pittsburgh. I've been coming here since 2015 and it has been nothing but lovely. Always a great vibe with beautiful surroundings. Sometimes it's tight on seating, especially since they closed the upstairs a few years ago, but I take it as a testament to how well they're doing.

The coffee is good 80% of the time, I admit it could be more consistent. Even so, it doesn't take away from the experience for me.

This place is on my Pittsburgh Coffee Shop favorites list. The breakfast burrito is probably my favorite in the city and the whole place is such a nice atmosphere. The tea selections are also one of the best in the city.

Here’s a super local coffee shop different from the majority located in the Pittsburgh area. Biddle’s Escape might suit the taste of many people who like a good place to hangout and enjoy a good cup of coffee or tea, and might not suit the Starbucks folk who like a modernized experience.

Friendly staff, fun atmosphere, and lots of places to enjoy your drink. Big pet friendly patio, and lots of cozy tables inside. Good cold brew and amazing tea selection.

On a scale of cotton candy to Brussels sprouts, Biddle's Escape feels like the story of Peter Pan. It's whimsy and delight around every corner.

The space was delightful for meeting up with a new friend, and it's clear that it's a favorite spot for working as many table occupants wielded a laptop and caffeination. Outdoor patio is covered, and tables were available inside as well.

We went this morning for coffee and got a Vienna coffee. It was very tasty! Really cool vibe, comfortable place to meet and catch up with a friend!

Really a hidden gem! Quirky and eccentric. They prefer mugs to cups and silverware instead of plastic. It's beautiful inside and relaxing and interesting outside. The espresso is very good and they have a large choice of beverages. I Love it!

Fresh syrups are used to make the summer specials!!! This fits with the total hedgewitch healer vibe of Biddle's Escape. Not only can you pick up a drink or a snack, you get loose tea and spices here too. Surprisingly, you can buy the perfect candy dish or lamp for your house from the cool estate sale items that you can buy here. Come to the magical neighborhood of Regent Sqare Wilkinsburg and enjoy Biddle's Escape!!! This is truly a very relaxing place in the daytime. In the evening, you may run into things like live music or open mic stuff.
