Very caring staff. Always ready to listen and help. Communication with my husband at home was excellent. Food better than I would have expected at a hospital facility. But best of all was that their treatment worked. Not only did I leave with a need for fewer meds, I left with the skills to cope with and help prevent further symptoms. I feel mentally more healthy than I have in years, and am confident that I will never need to go back. A real life saver for me. Psychiatrist is very straightforward and honest. Doesn't feed you a load of BS or just tell you what you want to hear. I have the utmost respect for him.

East End Behavioral Health has exceeded my expectations in every way. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly to the patients and their families. The mental health care that my family member has received there has been extremely beneficial. I feel like they really care about the needs of the patient and provide a multi dimensional approach to treatment. Thank you East End Behavioral Health for helping people and changing lives.

I am at my 5th anniversary of not needing inpatient care. In the decade or so that I was a semiregular patient I needed a lot care but I grew a lot. I have a dissociative disorder, PTSD with psychosis, and bipolar 1 disorder with psychosis. There have been times that I've been a downright difficult patient. The staff always treated me with dignity and respect despite being so hard to work with. The psychiatrists are very smart and very intuitive. They are deserving of trust. I don't miss the hospital but I'm grateful it is there.

Staff was very helpful and polite to both me and my family. Had a much better experience here than I did at the other hospital

My son checked himself in. His councilor is amazing. My son said he is doing so much better. He sounds better too. He still in, I get calls daily. Some people like to complain about everything.

This BH hospital is changing for the better under new management. The physical facility is clean the staff genuinely cares. Don’t overlook this hospital should you need Behavioral health care. They offer quality care to patients. Convenient free parking for family members is a bonus.

Life Care IS a caring facility located in an easily accessible area. It well serves a need and is an asset to the community.

I was not personally in here myself but my mother was after Whitehall Manorcare now Promedica 302’d her. She has vascular dementia and has serious cognitive impairment after a severe brain bleed. She never should have been sent to East End behavioral health in the first place but it ended up working out for the best. They treated my mother with dignity and respect. It was a frightening experience having her in there with no contact but our case manager, Rob Kalas, was nothing short of amazing. He was professional yet completely empathetic to our situation. He truly could not have been more helpful. He updated my siblings and I daily and would be sure one of us spoke to our mom at least once a day. He talked to her like a person and tried to connect with her on hobbies she loves such as music and The Rolling Stones. Rob diligently worked on trying to find another skilled nursing facility for our mom to live at. We had decided on a place and in my heart I knew it wasn’t the right fit for us as a family. I found another place and changed everything on Rob and he was totally understanding and went with the flow. Rob was an angel and I just want you all to know how lucky you are to have him work there. Thank you Rob!

This place is a hundred times better than Torrance State Hospital. The staff are actually human and treat the patients like humans. I wish they had real coffee. I wish everywhere on earth had coffee.

My fiancé was there twice. The first time was great. One issue with a staff member and that was resolved quickly. Everyone was kind and patient. The second time, the staff answering the phones were short and snooty. His doctor threatened him multiple times to send him to a state hospital (he meets no criteria) and told him he couldn’t have extra food at meals even though he’s still hungry because he’s “going to get bigger and he’s big enough already”. I spoke with one staff and they were super nice but that’s the best I’ve got this time. Mind you, he named East End as one of two the hospitals he wanted a referral sent to because he had a great first experience there. Do better.

The place was cold as hell. A lot of things where out dated and did not work. They are good at losing your stuff my wallet came back soaking wet. The staff was ok . The meals where not the great lost ten pounds from not eating.
