Thank you, thank you, thank you! I really respect and appreciate the care, knowledge base, professionalism and innovation of Dr. Wheeler and Dr. Hudson of Pittsburgh Performance Physical Therapy. I have worked primarily with Dr. Hudson. He listens, understands and retains the details I have shared of my various injuries. He has provided an accurate diagnosis and innovative care. He has given me a wide variety of exercises to perform to improve, strengthen and, once graduated, to maintain my various problem areas. The proof is in the pudding and it is a delight to experience improvement and to move back to normalcy. You are in "good hands" at PPPT.

Three months ago I hobbled in to PPPT with the worst back pain and sciatica I’ve ever had. Now that I’m down to my last few sessions with Dr. Hudson, I’m in possibly the best shape of my life. It was obvious from our first session that Dr. Hudson is very good at what he does. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, communicates clearly, and listens carefully. Under his guidance we systematically treated all of my hip, leg, and lower back issues, and for the first time in my life I have an exercise and stretch regiment that really works for me. I’ve been to several other therapists, but Ricky is hands down the best! Kudos to Dr. Wheeler and Dr. Hudson for running such a great practice.

Dr. Elisabeth Wheeler is amazing. I broke my hip five years ago and saw her at another facility. I was impressed with her professionalism, enthusiasm and skill. I was happy to find Dr. Wheeler again at her own practice, where she was once again knowledgeable, helpful and kind. She truly cares about her patients.

The space is very clean with attractive décor. Also want to give a shout-out to Jason, who is also great.

I highly recommend Pittsburgh Performance Physical Therapy!!!

Dr. Wheeler and Dr. Meissner are simply amazing! I was struggling with nerve irritation and muscle pain from playing violin, and within 6 weeks, most of my pain was gone and my violin playing actually improved! Their combination of strengthening and therapeutic modalities improved my posture, muscle strength (I gained 20 lbs of grip strength in 6 weeks), and overall well being. It is a comfortable and relaxing environment, and both Dr. Wheeler and Dr. Meissner are very kind and experts at what they do. Highly recommend for musicians, I had an excellent experience.

I'm thankful for Dr Wheeler and the outstanding care given to help restore my shoulder from injuries sustained playing sports. Several years ago I injured my shoulder and thought it would eventually heal, but the strength and range of motion never got better. After meeting and talking with Dr Wheeler I decided it was finally time to take action and after a couple months of treatment and dedication, I felt like myself again. Several months later and my shoulder still feels great. Thank you Dr Wheeler for your charismatic professionalism and services!

Last August 2020, I injured my shoulder and thought for sure I would need rotator cuff surgery. My doctor performed a procedure which helped heal the tears and I went to see Dr. Elizabeth Wheeler for physical therapy ---3x per week for 3 months physical therapy!! In previous years, I saw 4 different therapists, but after being treated by Dr. Wheeler, I knew she was the best. She has her own solo practice and her detailed attention to your problem is stellar. She's an amazing therapist and understands the workings of bones and muscles better than most. Her treatments truly worked for me. Her exercises helped me immensely. My pain level was substantially reduced, because she taught me how to move my shoulder with more efficiency and less strain. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Wheeler for all that she did to help me recover from a very painful accident. I highly recommend her. She is very caring and extremely competent and above all, she helped me to feel better and have excellent function in my shoulder. Thank you so much Dr. Wheeler.

Dr. Wheeler is truly the best! I have come to her on and off over the years and she has helped me so much. She is so detailed in her approach and really cares for her patients well being. I find her suggested exercises all to be very manageable when done at home and have seen quick results when following them. If you have been looking for or have been recommened physical therapy, Dr. Wheeler is the one to call!

I highly recommend Dr. Wheeler.

I began treatment with Dr. Wheeler in mid 2021 for chronic knee pain that started in 2019. I saw five doctors and three physical therapists who were unable to help resolve my problem. I had no diagnosable tear, but I was in enough pain that I gave up playing sports, lifting weights, and running. I avoided any unnecessary walking and I lost confidence in my knee.

Dr. Wheeler had me identify goals for therapy. She did an evaluation to determine what I needed to work on and she developed a plan. I saw steady improvement with each session. When I told her something new was bothering me she took that into consideration and addressed it. I felt that the other PTs I saw focused on the initial complaint and didn't address related issues during the course of therapy.

After a few months with Dr. Wheeler my knee vastly improved. I play sports multiple times per week. I lift weights. I run every other day. I can walk without restriction. I have full confidence that my knee can do whatever I ask of it. I'm very thankful for Dr. Wheeler's help and I'll recommend her to everyone I know.

I sought out Pittsburgh Performance Physical Therapy as I was having issues with my forearm hurting while playing my instrument. I thought my arm was getting worse and worse. I received excellent care from Dr. Wheeler and Dr. McKnight as they slowly built up my muscles so I could return to my normal activities. I’m now pain free and have remained that way, having continued using the stretches they taught me. I’m very grateful to have had them and their expertise. Thank you all for everything!

I was referred to Dr. Wheeler for TMJ pain and related symptoms, which I've experienced for years ever since I had a braces when I was kid/young teenager. Dr. Wheeler helped me uncover severe skeletal abnormalities in my jaws. I knew I had a canted smile beforehand, but it turned out that my upper jaw is not only canted but also severely shifted to the left and too far back, resulting in an underbite and a severe unilateral crossbite, for which I was compensating by shifting my mandible back and to the left. My problems were so severe that they were not only affecting my speaking and eating but my breathing and posture as well.
Thanks to Dr. Wheeler, I can finally get my problems fixed!

Dr. Wheeler is a great physical therapist. She began treating me for a lower back issue which successively resolved and also was able to identify why I was constantly getting injured on my left side while running. Her astute diagnosis has allowed me to get back to running and stay healthy. Dr. Wheeler is a great practitioner and a great listener. I highly recommend her.

I highly, highly recommend Dr. Wheeler. Last fall, I fractured my arm, luckily without displacement of the bone affected. The doctor recommended physical therapy. My wife had a good experience with Dr. Wheeler in the past, and after a very successful course of physical therapy, I confirm her positive recommendation.

Dr. Wheeler took careful measure of my arm motion, and by the end of the course of therapy the motion and strength had returned to my injured arm. I simply would not have known the proper exercises at the start, when common movement created pain. Dr. Wheeler was a very good teacher in guiding the initial and gradual increase in exercise. I believe that without Dr. Wheeler's therapy, my recovery would have taken much longer and might still not be complete.

Dr. Wheeler is thoughtful , effective, and cares about each person she sees in her clinic. I’ve had the great fortune to be under her care for a debilitating neck issue and have returned to almost complete recovery without any of the surgeries my doctors wanted to perform.

Her clinic is clean, and I feel she respects the knowledge I have of my own body and supplements that with her training and experience. She’s been generous with her time and energy.

She also cares for folks of all different races, education levels, and social backgrounds so I never feel dismissed or less than. Parking is easy and there’s often good music. Aces all around.

Dr. Wheeler has been so helpful with my neck and shoulder issues. She listens carefully and always customizes her treatment based on what we talk about. She also gives useful stretches and exercise so I can work on sore areas on my own time. I can’t recommend her highly enough!

If you need PT say YES! YES! YES! to Pittsburgh Performance Physical Therapy! 4 months and 4 doctors and I was getting no where with my foot injury. It was affecting every part of my life not being able to walk without a limp, not to mention, without pain. I met with Elisabeth at Pittsburgh Performance Physical Therapy - she listened to my issues, advised then made a game plan for my recovery. I now walk without a limp, can climb up and go down steps one step at a time and my feet match!! LOL I know that sounds silly but my bad foot was always sore, swollen and you could see even in shoes how swollen one was. Elisabeth and Kristin of Pittsburgh Performance Physical Therapy are both sweet yet very professional! I can not Thank them enough! Other Doctor's told me that my foot would most likely not recover/return to normal but that was not the case - I'm glad I listed to my inner self and requested PT and found Pittsburgh Performance Physical Therapy!

I worked with Dr. Wheeler recently on a number of problems, including severe foot pain. I suffered from plantar fasciitis and other foot problems for over 10 years, and had constant pain in my right foot. After six weeks or so of physical therapy I'm now pain-free and able to walk 10+ miles per week without any pain at all.

I have worked with Dr Elisabeth Wheeler over the years. She is excellent at assessment of any trouble spots and how to use massage and exercise to resolve problems. She is very knowledgeable and focused. Her new fellow therapist Eric is also excellent.

After believing surgery was the only thing that would help my severe case of TMJ, my dentist referred me to see Dr. Wheeler! Dr. Wheeler & Dr. McKnight explained my diagnosis in further detail & provided me with the best physical therapy experience! I was in an unbearable amount of pain with daily things like eating & talking, but now I know that the muscles that support my jaw were too tight! Those muscles caused my pain & stretching them out made all the difference. I knew physical therapy helped me once I could eat a primanti sandwich… with absolutely everything on it (the fries, the coleslaw, you name it!) I wouldn’t dare try before, but now I can eat whatever I want with no pain! Thank you two for helping me live my life comfortably, I appreciate you more than I can explain! If you are suffering with TMJ, try Pittsburgh Performance Physical Therapy!! I promise you won’t regret it!
