AHN McCandless Neighborhood Hospital

Big shout to everyone who was working ER on Monday 5/8 between 8 and 9pm. Everyone from the person answering the phone to the docs, nurses, assistants was great.

My 2.5yo son split his chin open. I called to see if they'd stitch someone that young. Not only did a person answer the phone, she knew the answer. It wasn't a receptionist who would have no clue.

We got there and got in quickly. The woman at the front desk was the one who took my call. Doc and nurses were are super nice and patient with my understandably scared son. Even with 1 doc on duty they were able to get us out within an hour and his chin glued up. It's also very clean there.

Nice job to everyone and thanks for being so nice and caring with us! They even gave him a snack when he was done.

Very friendly staff and great doctors.

I was impressed with the swiftness of my visit to the ER last Tuesday at 7 PM.

The staff, nurses and doctors were all very kind. It wasn’t very busy when we went so we were seen pretty quickly. If in need of medical attention in the future, we’ll return.

Everytime I need to come here I get excellent care and respect from all staff. It's always very quick but still very thorough. This has to be the cleanest emergency facility I have ever been to. They take amazing care of this facility. Super clean rooms and waiting room.

This was one of the best ER visits I have had. Firstly, the whole place is spotless and very clean. You are then greeted by a competent front desk person. I remembered to ‘check-in’ or hold my place in line before I went, so the wait was not long. Nurse Brandy took me back and was very nice. She asked me what was happening & how I’m feeling, etc. Throughout the introduction, I felt heard and I also felt empathy. It was nice. Then, Dr. Maenza came & sat down. That’s right—sat down to in a seat to listen to what I had to say and what was happening. He reassured me more than once that I made the right decision coming to the ER. As a woman (she/her), it was a breath of fresh air to hear a man assuage my self-doubt. He let me give the spark notes version of the chronic symptoms & his questions showed that he seemed to listen to the patient. As we were discussing a path forward, he asked my opinion, etc. It was nice to be included in the decision making process of my own health. When he left, Brandy asked if I needed anything like a blanket or a drink. It was questions and afterthought like that demonstrated by Nurse Brandy and Dr. Maenza that made me feel at ease. I will definitely return to this ER (& try not to be weird when asking which doctor / nurse are on-call).

I would just like to say that the staff today at the ER was so so comforting and superb with their treatment of my 4 yr old autistic son. He had to get stitches in his head and they were so compassionate and good at their jobs. Such good care. 👍 thank you

Was sent to the ER by my oncologist at AGH. I was having chemo complications and the fever was concerning them. Because of how immune compromised I am (the reason it was "urgent") I didn't want to spend hours in a crowded ER at a larger hospital. I did know that if I was to be admitted, I would not be so there. My oncology nurse called ahead to tell them I was coming.

Everything was so smooth from start to finish! I was seen right away. Paul was incredible. Very personable and compassionate. He checked on my often. Things I very much appreciated! Destiny was the nurse and she too was very good. Dr. Guyton was awesome. He was in contact with my oncologist before tests, during tests, and after to ensure the best routes were taken! He was thorough and came in and explained updates multiple times. They wasted no time! I recieved a iv antibiotics and was cleared to go with a script- a release from all the docs in communication. Thank you all for making an awful situation far less terrible!

My experience at AHN McCandless was stellar.

They were a godsend to me and the miserable state I was in involving vertigo and migraine on top of other issues.

Every person I spoke to was caring and comforting at 3:30am when I arrived.

The facility itself is pristine and appropriate hygienic practices were in place.

I am at ease knowing they are available 24/7 if I ever need their services again.

Chopped the tip of my thumb in half.... It was pretty gnarly to say the least. Great staff with amazing bedside manner. Super clean ER, amazing service. 6 outta 5 stars for sure... would highly recommend if you have a 'minor' emergency like i did. If only AGH proper was half as good. I refuse to go downtown for anything because AGH's ER is a dumpster fire at best

I was taken back right away when I arrived at the ER. Everyone from the front desk to doctors were amazing! They were all very kind, polite and knowledgeable. I didn't feel like I was being talked down to at all like I have been in the past at other ER's. I will definitely return to this ER if I ever need to go to an ER and I would recommend it to my family and friends.

I can't say enough about the treatment I recieved last night during my asthma attack. Everyone was not only great at there job but nice while they were acting effectively and efficiently! The two emergency room night nurses Chris and Sam went above and beyond to make me comfortable! I came in short of breath and scared. I left laughing. The world is a better place because of people ljke you guys. My wife and I thank you for everything.

Outpatient lab was great - in and out in 10 min. The technician was friendly and very skilled. Beautiful floor to ceiling windows.

Fast, clean and caring. Great addition to health care in the North Hills.

Best hospital service, clean actually treat people nice. Out of many hospitals ive been too this is the BEST. They give patients medication if they are in pain and also are compassionate. Thank you.

Extremely quick and great with kids.

Felt like the staff here was attentive. Didn't feel like I waited more then I should have and received very good care.

Go here for my endocrine and dermatologist. Every experience is top tier. Couldn't recommend more!
