I love mercy hospital but am very disappointed they no longer have a labor and delivery I had all 4 of my kids there and had a wonderful experience but my last two kids I had to have at another hospital and it was the worse experience I ever had. I have severe phobia giving birth at any other hospital if it's not mercy hospital. I know most of their staff for labor and delivery went to magee women's hospital but it's not the same because those other hospitals have different policies then mercy and I trust mercy more then any other hospital because I'm use to them I really hope and wish they reconsider and reopen the labor and delivery back up and do blood transfusion again so patients don't have to go all the way to magee

I drive 2 hours from Erie to see my endocrinologist, Dr Williard, here. Caring, not rushed, very thorough! All women practice and all extremely amazing!

I have never felt so genuinely cared about in a hospital before I needed to visit Mercy. I stayed for 21 days and the intensive care doctor's and nurses literally saved my life, while Dr. Philbin and Dr. Chopra saved my future. As great as the doctors were, however, they don't hold a candle to the 8th floor nurses. That could have been the worst three weeks of my life, but those girls made it a comfortable, relaxing and healing time. Thank you Emily, Jen, Jodi - all of you for your kindness, patience and humor. Thank you for the endless pitchers of ice and ginger ales, lol, for doing your very best to make sure I was comfortable and my mom had a cozy place to rest when she stayed with me. Thank you too the volunteers for the spiritual wellness AND guidance that was offered and the therapy dog, Ally, who really brightened some of my days. The facility is clean and modern, the gardens and fountains outside are lovely and the food is even good too!

I also want to thank the social workers, case managers and dieticians that helped me. They found me a safe, affordable, comfortable respite when I was well enough to leave but not well enough to be alone or far away. They gave me the information I needed to plan the types of meals that help me heal, reduce the risks of reoccurring health issues, etc.

Thumbs up, Mercy staff. Thanks for everything!

The whole staff in trauma was professional and quick. Julia though, Julia was an absolute angel. I couldn't have been blessed with a more heavenly angel as my nurse. You are meant to be in the medical field, you have such a golden heart and a kind soul. You have no idea how much you helped me, mentally. I wish many blessings enter your life, and that God sends his best angels to watch over you always 🙏

Went to their emergency room back in Dec 2022 suffering from severe lower back pain, abdomen pain, and not being able to hold food or liquids down for over 48 hours. After ordering a CT scan, they were able to diagnose what I’d been dealing with for years. I then went back to see a urologist at this location and they got me set up with imaging and a surgery was scheduled. I am beyond grateful to this hospital for showing a dedication to wanting their patients to feel and get better. You can tell these people care about their jobs and the work that they’re doing. I will continue to come back should the need arise.

As I’m laying her after my surgery by dr awais. I figured I’d write a review out about how amazing him and his team did on my surgery. Not only was his team amazing but Olivia in the PACU was amazing and really made me feel as comfortable as possible while in the pacu. Now that I’m in recovery I can honestly say that nurse Nar is the most outstanding attentive nurse I have ever met. He’s made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. He also checked in on me every so often when he didn’t have to, to make sure I was alright. I appreciate upmc mercy more then any hospital I’ve ever been in and from here on out it’ll be the only hospital I recommend to people and myself.

My name is Devin Olewski I stayed here after I was shot and I was treated so nice especially by the night time nurse Danielle she did an outstanding job explained everything to me even prepped me for caring for my medical equipment that came with me after discharge. Hands down best nurse ever. Wish I knew her full name so she could get the credit she deserves it. Thank you Danielle!

Spent 5 hours this morning in the Outpatient Surgery unit. My husband had eye surgery. We checked in at 5am. Greeted by a total professional. Explained everything. Their system in play is excellent. Their notification boards are all digital so you can track the state of the procedure being completed on the patient. The handout they provided explaining the boards is well done. When they took me back to see my husband before the surgery, they pointed out the recliner next to his chair and then gave me a warm blanket to use. I never had to ask one question. The doctor met me in a small conference room and explained it all to me. My heartfelt thanks to Diane, Kiera Catherine and Emilee. I'm missing one other anesthesia staff person's name. Sorry.
There was fresh hot coffee, water and snacks.
My only complaint, the televisions are too loud. Everyone, myself included, was on their phone. Not sure the TVs are even needed. That time of the day, 5am, quiet is nicer.
Thank you

I want to say thank you to everyone involved in my care. The ER doc n nurses, other Dr's, nurses, kitchen aids, nurse aid, housekeeping, PT. Everyone was short handed but you never made me feel like I was imposing on you for any of my needs. Everyone was smiling, happy n joking. You all took the time to talk, explain and ask if there was anything I needed. I wish there was a way I could make you guys feel as important as you made my care feel to me. Thank you, Kathy

I recently took my mother here for a scan after she fell and the service was wonderful. Everyone was pleasant and the wait was not unreasonable. I am in the medical field myself and I understand how positive feedback is appreciative. Kudos to Kaylee the Radiology tech for her friendly manner and the entire staff that day.

I am a nurse. I went there a few days ago for a dislocated shoulder after a fall. The staff was A+ excellent! I couldn't let go of my arm, 'cause it hurt, and they were so nice still! They patiently helped me through admission, very understanding, just believing me that my arm hurt. Then the x-rays showed it was dislocated. They put my shoulder back in, (complete pain control prior and during). Clear instructions for care and follow up, a light lunch. I have complete use of my right hand, and starting to move my arm. If they hadn't taken care of me so well, I might of had nuero or some other damage. I feel incredibly blessed it all went so well and would highly recommend them for care!

My experience at UPMC Mercy was tremendous. From the moment I walked in the door until the time I left, every person I encountered was outstanding. The nurses were amazing, and Dr. Snyderman and his surgical staff were top-notch. Obviously no one wants to need surgery, but since I did, I truly could not have asked for anything more to make the experience comfortable. Thank you UPMC Mercy.

My daughter had her wisdom teeth out there yesterday. Dr. Chung was awesome. With all the delays and all it went well. They gave us food vouchers. And everyone there was so friendly and helpful.I was very impressed. They are so much friendlier than Excela Latrobe..We were treated with respect and utter kindness.I can not thank you all enough.Same day surgery and waiting areas are to be commended. They are all wonderful.

8th Floor Nurses and Staff – Best Care Ever!

My son recently spent 3 days at Mercy on the 8th floor. The care he received was outstanding. In the past I worked in several hospitals and can say that the nurses, doctors and other staff went above and beyond while caring for my son. It was a nerve racking time for my family and I truly believe he received the best care. I thank all of you!
